Blake is one of my favorite poets because he was a visionary mystic.

And reflected that mysticism in his work.

@@PoetrySpokencom Honestly? If or when you are up to the challenge, I would love to hear you read "After a while you learn..." by Veronica A. Shoffstall, (C) 1971. It's been transcribed from Portuguese and was written from a woman's viewpoint, but it is no less worthy than Desiderata in learning the wisdom of life's lessons. I'll even settle for it if you take artistic license and change it just enough to fit both men and women. That's how important I think it is in what it has to say.
You've done three of my favorite poems already....The 23rd Psalm, Sea Fever, and Desiderata, which I love enormously, but I have to say your reading has matured greatly during your hiatus. It's become warmer, deeper, more passionate, more intimate, and better paced. Bravo! If my request doesn't sit well, I'll settle for The Cremation of Sam McGee or some other shorter similar foolishness. It's been a favorite of mine since I first read it in high school almost 50 years ago. LOL

@@PoetrySpokencom Thank you so much, Sir. You have no idea how honored I feel by you granting my request. I'm absolutely floored by your outstanding reading. This "Gift" is not lost on me. I appreciate it within the depths of my being and absolutely treasure it. This particular poem has been the guidance of my life along with Desirderata since I was much younger. These are the stars by which I steer my course. Again, Thank YOU, one soul to another.

@@Dragonalynn Sorry I missed this comment the other day.... THANK YOU! (both for the compliment and for making the request... and expanding my own horizons!). The point of this channel is to celebrate what makes humanity special and those qualities that bind us. Thank you for sharing in that. : )
