It's great to see a new video out, Chris. Out of the handful of channels I subscribe to, yours is the first one I watch when I get a chance. Keep them coming and take care of yourself. 😊
One of my greats thought it was a good idea to put some paper in my bread maker while I was making bread one day. Burned on the element and had me moving fast to get it out of the house. Got it all dumped out and It actually worked after that. Thanks for sharing
that bronze bush looked more useful to use as another bearing removal tool (i was looking for similar recently to use as a thicker washer/spacer) probably be another thing that would sell in the shop in jars for people like Myself playing with junk.
I think I have a couple of cuckoo clocks around somewhere Nas - probably will keep them for parts or repair rather than scrapping though. I have actually sold jars full of old brass cogs & gears for craft/steampunk uses. Much better than scrap brass price!
It was an interesting but wasted effort on my part! However I did finally also do that capacitor repair and now I will need another large broken item to clutter my kitchen table! @@TheUltimateRecycler
I'm assuming breadmakers were meant for apartment dwellers who dont have an oven, or time to mix the dough? But Ive always found it fairly quick and easy to just dirty a bowl and bake it in the oven. My mother in law used to use hers to make sweetbread dessert while her oven was busy with dinner. It's too bad so many go unused and discarded.
Hi, I thought I would check out your channel, Ian Mathews mentioned you. I am in Melbourne, do scrapping as a hobby, but do not make videos. I will work my way through your videos, Ken Ord.
The problem with bread machines is..... If they have been stored for a while the heating elements absorb moisture.... leading to a decrease? increase? (cant remember) in the resistance of the element making the switch board trip. So either ya have to take the heating element out and put it in the oven to dry out OR the first time you run it needs to be on an unprotected power source...
Oh Rye! The money in a bread machine is flat. Nothing is poppy out. Just naan money. A huge bagel. Fast track to the hardtack. Losta matzah nothing. I think if you scrap these things to make money, you are bananas. Challah out to you Chris for showing us! You are multigrain-faceted. I croissant you not to do this again, perhaps next time find something where you can make a pumpernickel.

Thanks Ross, I appreciate that! 👍😊
Having never used a bread maker before, it was an interesting watch...
Thanks Martin. I haven't either - but I have scrapped a few!

Thanks Cynthia! I guess that smoked the house out for awhile!
Very interesting Chris, I haven't scrapped one of those yet, but yes the motor is the best part. 👍
It's quite a weighty motor too Alex! 👍😊
If the bin and the paddle were clean, they could be saleable mate. The paddles get lost or having a second mix ready to go.
Good point Glen, I should have considered that!!
Good job Chris
Thanks Graham 👍😊

You are absolutely correct Dean, I'd better start a jar for bronze bushes - they are handy in the workshop! 👍😀
I scrapped out a cuckoo clock for the first time. Interesting little brass gears.

I think bread makers are just another in the evolution of unnecessary kitchen gadgets to be honest!
Interesting to see what exactly is in the workings of these machines.
Hope you are doing ok.
Thanks Dee. Yes doing ok, although managed to pick up a dose of covid! 😒
It would be worth it too me my brother .. I’ve never done one before .. if I see one I’ll be picking them up .👊🏻
I know you'd rip the copper out of that motor quick-smart mate! 👌😂👊
@@TheUltimateRecycler yes sir ..👊🏻

Welcome Ken, thanks for popping in! Hope you enjoy your stay 😊👍

I haven't heard that issue Christian, but it's entirely possible..

Haha Shane, very clever! 🤣🤣
Poor breadmaker 😢 Looks well used though 👍🙂
Yep, this one has had its day Dave! 👍
Can make some bread from scrapping the breadmaker. 😂
You can make more dough selling them if they are clean & working Geoff! 😉🤣
Never had one come my way, interesting tear down, almost no Ommer action, note to self. Be less Neanderthal. Keep em coming Chris.
Haha, thanks Ian. There is definitely a place in this world for plenty of 'ommer action - and it's your place! 🤣
