2024 Outback Day 13 - Mungerannie to Birdsville

Today we drive the northern half of the Birdsville Track.
We were so lucky that it had just reopened the 2 days before (20th May). It was probably smoother than usual as it had just been graded. We passed the grader up north. People had been stuck at Mungerannie for 5 days.
There were a few really easy water crossings with a very firm base. Mostly open plains, but some mesa views, occasional wetlands, red gibber plains and pale sand dunes thrown in.
