I have heard from an "anonymous source" that you can increase your chances of catching the big catfish by running a cordless leaf blower inside your boat while you fish. The "source" tells me the vibration stimulates the fishes lateral line and gets them excited. Thanks, Dave for sharing another great video.

Well, you certainly opened my eyes... you are fishing for catfish...all this time I've been fishing for cats. There seems to be a difference. I find that a bowl of cream and a .410 works well for the cats in my neighborhood. ;)

I can only bank fish and have limited mobility. I fish mostly for channels cats in PNW, USA what rod reel would you tend to use if you were in similar situation please?

Anyone know what the catfishing is like on Kentucky Lake? I haven't heard. A cousin from Knoxville just bought this little 4-room cabin on 2.5 acres with no-bank waterfront and a boathouse with dock on Kentucky Lake. His wife is from over there and her dad's rich. I'm jealous.
Nice place to stay a day or two if you have a boat. 🙂

i have been fishin for catfish for years always with 2 egg sinkers a barrel
swivel and hook lol im still a beginner until i watched your channel i never knew
about bumpin draggin or suspending.i live on the san joaquin river and a hour from the mother lode lakes in california.I have not been able to get out to try any of your methods until 2 days ago i fished for bass until the hour of suck then setup for cats but forgot my bait lol had chicken left it in the frig.thought to myself what am i going to do now fishing for bass in the past i have caught cats as well caught several over 15 pounds i have caught them on deep diving crankbaits while fishin for bass so i hooked up a floating bill lewis magnum rattle trap to my draggin rod big ugly stik have a spook too not 15 minutes into the drag whammmm a 22 pound channel catfish this fish looked spawned out was skinny i think it could have weighed close to 30 and on a rattle trap wow man.4 years ago i was at the ramp and saw these guys with scuba gear i asked them what they do they told me they survey the dam i asked you seen any big fish the guy got fired up and told me about the monsters down theres sturgeons 9/10 feet long and catfish as big as a man the funny thing is i never see anyone fish for either lake record for catfish is only 28 pounds.i will be getting out more now ill try the dam i hit the channel cat back by the river.this 22 pounder straighten my treble hook out maybe i should try switchin out the trebles to just a circle hook on the back of the rattle trap?thanks for all the tips dave.......
