I’m calling it right now. This channel is gonna blow up. Reminds me of goonzsquad
Thank you man that means a lot I hope so🙏🏻
I’m in the planning stages of my shop house. I never would have though about putting all the living space on a second floor which frees up more shop space. Subscribed
Definitely going to be one of a kind!
Instead of plywood I would make it that outside metal sheeting (obviously aesthetics only) but it would be better than looking at plywood from the shop up
The tin will last longer only because of how crappy todays lumber is
sweet set up hot tub FTW
It’s coming along really nice bro can’t wait to see the finished house/shop 👍🏻
thank you man stay tuned!
A window looking down too the shop would be fire🔥
Great video love seeing your progress and everything you’re doing!!
Much appreciated thanks for following along! 🙌🏻
Very nice idea I love it . Think about putting windows in the master bedroom and the third bedroom aswel . The rooms tends to get very stuffy and moldy if there is no air flowing through them.
Thank you!
Definitely worth it for fire egress/code compliance. Even with a door to the cat walk a window may be needed. In my area if it’s more then 40’ to a staircase down then the second door won’t meet egress requirements
This is awesome would love something like this! I also am in love with that obs currently restoring my 93 7.3
Great video! I can’t wait to watch this full build. Only thing I would do before you get too far is put a window in that second bedroom. Also maybe a nice window that looks down into the shop.
Have a great day!
Thank you for the recommendations and you aswell
That might be against code
Great video buddy can't wait to see how that dream house turns out / shop boy its huge 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯
Thank you man stay tuned part 2, 3, and 4 are live now also!

Felicidades muy bonito como está quedando 👍🏼

That's really good but can't wait till it's done
Stay tuned 🙌🏻
Nice house

Thank you hopefully I’ll have another video ready by then!!!
@@fordsixfo ok thank love watching your channel
Hey man, looks amazing. Can’t wait to see it finished. Just one question, could you do a cost breakdown for the finished workshop?
Yes
Hey I would of put a double door next to the laundry room out to the shop so you can use a forklift to get things upstairs later on
It has a swing gate on the porch to get stuff up!!!
I would put a nice big gun safe in your walk in closet!! Might be easier doing it now while building… could maybe even put shelves on the side of it. Just thinking from a business point of view having a nice big gunsafe that nobody will just be able to pick up and walk out with would be nice. Use it for titles or money or whatever that’s important
Oh for sure! Great great idea thanks for watching
🎉
Noah very nice house/shop build I would paint the wall exterior white! I think with the black railing the white would really stand out, maybe put some of the siding on the plywood walls facing the shop I think it would look good. I look forward to your building shop houses like this in the future you have your planned out nice. Can’t wait to see the big concrete floor done.
Thank you very much for all the recommendations and watching stay tuned!
clearly my dream home project taking place ! i live in a colder place, would you suggest adding a second insolation ceiling ?
I’m installing the entire house section we framed also
Who did you buy the metal building & mezzanine from?
I’m in design myself. Mind sharing who built the frame, type insulation used… thanks… that catwalk 👍
Hey man you could do some blow in insulation around the framed in portion and achieve a higher insulation quality
Most likely using spray foam
Looks amazing! For editing purposes you should check out “stream beats” or some copyright free music for b-role. Awesome nonetheless.
Yes I use epedemic I’ll add some sound to the background on the next one
Hi, I noticed the one bedroom doesn't have a window....In Canada, you need a window and closet to call a room a bedroom. Not so in the USA?
Do you have a link to the couch in your living room?!
I'm just wondering if them posts are going to be big enough to hold up all the extra weight you're adding to the top floor
It was specifically designed and built for this purpose
Looks awesome! We are starting a barndo build in north GA this summer. Are you not doing sprayfoam for insulation? What area are you in?
…and one more question. Can you please give me an idea of cost for your slab? Mine will be about 60’x120’ and trying to get an idea for the budget? Probably 5” thick.
texas, spray foam underneath yes
1st 🎉
I’ve been thinking of doing something like this, how much did all the lumber cost for the framing and such? Do you have an estimated cost to finish the interior?
10-20k for lumber
Oh, I also see the master does not have a window, just the bathroom. Are you adding windows later?
I might add one
What is the eve height on the shop? I am looking at building something similar to what you are doing and don’t really know how tall it needs to be.
24’
Are you not gonna have any windows in the living/kitchen area into the shop?
No just the catwalk around I want it closed
what are your interior heights? shop areas and house? Thanks.
24’ shop height, 9’ ceilings on hose
What does this cost
Did you build this from a kit type of thing I’m looking for ideas
Not a kit no we made plans
Can you share the design plans as it looks amazing
I don't see know safety hand rail
😂😂
I know it’s your house and you’re doing it the way you want to but I think in the future you might regret not put in the kitchen so you can have a window over the sink
Can always add it I just want it separated and light from the patio side
Solved with an outdoor kitchen in the future 😂
Extremely quiet audio
Sorry I’ve got a good mic on the way this was just with my iPhone
Out of curiosity what did the building and foundation cost you. I cannot imagine with sleepy Joe ruining the economy
250K+
@@fordsixfo Is that $250K including all the wood? If not what is the total cost? I've been wanting to do this and seeing is here makes me want it even more!! Good stuff man!!! Keep it up!!
