Say Ive thrown a cast net for years then about 6 years ago I seen this young man show a different method (you) made my life easier! You were much younger in that video of coarse at my age everyone looks much younger lol. Thank You!
Fantastic video Alex. I was able to repair my cast net with 8lb mono. I had no idea how until I watched your video. Wish you were still making videos 😊🐠🎣
Thanks Alex! I see these nets laying around my fishing hole torn and left behind. I even caught one with my fishing pole full of hard head catfish. The trash that people leave behind!
I use to make dreamcatchers and my husband has three castanets needing to be repaired! What’re your video and will give it a go. Thanks. The net pattern is like a dreamcatcher!
I just tore my new net off a nasty rock and I ended up with a 10 inch hole. Thanks for this video. I'm still learning how to through this thing, but thank a lot.
3yrs ago I actually did individual knots with 10/15lb braid and the centrifical force throwing the net busted almost every knot....used 30lb and it still works to this day...
Okay so my only issue is I use a bag net and I've tried sewing my net up like this and it throws it off balance so what I done was took another net and old and unfixable and cut a good square out of it big enough to cover my hole in the bag net and sewed each piece evenly to keep my net in balance and close the hole up.
This comment is towards the public that is still watching this video from time to time. Since we don't know what happened to Alex, if he's dead or just MIA, etc. This is NOT the correct way to mend a cast net. Here's the correct way: ruclips.net/video/Ex8lRGh9bXs/видео.htmlsi=rc4dXNQZiaZDhfKq I have nothing against Alex. I enjoy his videos. Would be great to have him back, but mending a cast net is not the same as closing a cut on human flesh. You have to create the same mesh forms (diamonds) and size in order to properly maintain your net for it to function properly.
I’ll be honest, I don’t know a single thing about fishing. But the quality of this video is top notch. Keep it up!
Thanks a lot Nick - that means a lot. Miss you man.
ok

Did you ever end up fixing it?
Look up some videos on RUclips the best one is by striper soup no teeth method I’m throwing a 8’ and getting perfect pancakes
I have a new net that the Braille lines catch. Any Ideas?

Thank you for your able help! Will be patching this 6 foot net someone left behind.
Thanks! Had my net two days and already have a nice hole.I know what I'm doing today!
and he's back!
BACK BABY!
found abandoned one bout a 12-15in rip in it....works as is..but could get worse using it
throws nice too
Great instructions, bit would be better if you used a black background so you can see the lines better than on the Gray.

Thanks bro. Your video helped me a lot
So what if I broke the plastic piece that the pulls the Braille lines?

Bro cant tell you how many cast nets I've ran through lol!
Whether it was getting holes in it or casting over hidden brush and getting it stuck!
All of cast nets look like they went through a cutting machine right now HAHA! I feel your pain!
great demonstration but maybe use a different color next time:D
Braid works sooooo much better
That's wrong u haft to remake the meshes if u just see it shut ur not won't hang right or spread right but for a bait net it'll do
What, the......that is NOT how to correctly patch holes
how do you do it then
That’s a fisherman’s knot bud
See u atmy family -channel
