Would've liked to see more pics of the finished product. One quick close up kinda makes me think it all doesn't look as good as the one area in the pic.
I have a 1900 square ft driveway. The previous owner applied bright white concrete resurfacer over the grey driveway and sidewalks in 2004. It has all popped up from the freeze/thaw cycles. It looks like shit now. I have three choices; do nothing, replace the concrete ($17,000) or grind the resurfacer off and reapply.
Yes it would, however, you wouldn't want to apply an epoxy outside, as epoxies are not UV stable and would yellow quickly from the sun. Epoxies are also high build, which would result in the surface being slippery outside.
They do make polyaspartic that is UV resistant to go over epoxy, and you could also use either fine beads, or sand for tough grit like a sandpaper finish
If you were inside, you would want to use the MicroTek, which would give a nice smooth finish. SureBroom has larger sands in it, which prevent it from getting very smooth.
That process is not even close to resurfacing conrete. Portland whitewashing is just changing the color to give appearance of new concrete. That is the equivalent thought process to painting a room and thinking it would hide a poor drywall job.
100%. I’ve pressure washed the next day several times before. It’s incredibly durable stuff if directions and prep are followed correctly. I’m doing my sisters 750sqft pad this weekend. I recommend a good sealer tho!! That makes it wine proof😂
You don't need to repeat the whole process, only the sealer must be reapplied every two years or so, as it will wear down with weather, traffic, etc. Thanks!
@@diyconcrete7671 i should have asked one of the concrete crews working with the utility companies to take their left over and repour my driveway. Snooze, you lose. Could have got it for a song.

Loved the power washing demo lol
Any updates on the durability?
Can you add a stencil like a brick from

Thanks for the video.
Not enough Expansion Joints
If it's spoiled on the top call him back and make him redo it
The product comes in white and gray is that the white mix or the gray?
How often does this need to be redone? Annually?
Great video That’s my next project next week.
Wow thanks
On the mixing I like to follow the instructions for some reason I don’t have to guess or make stuff up
What stores are available for your product in California.
@cali gdp thanks for info
Cool!
After applying this product would it be possible to put down Epoxy floor sealer?

Beautifully done
Hi, thanks for the video. Does the resurface product peel off after time? Due to different weather conditions and etc. Thanks!
Yes
You did not mention Garage Floors? I live in Canada would it work to fix cracks and seal over old garage floors?
These products are often used in garages!
Where can I get that product in MI.?
You can find these kits on our website, diyconcrete.com. Thanks!
What if I don’t want a broom/rough finish but a smooth showroom one instead?

@@diyconcrete7671 great info thank you 👌🏻
Won’t those edges and expansion joins just crack with that thin material on top?
At 3:05 he taped the expansion joints
can i do this and apply a pattern on top of it like u know the stone look molds whatever u call them 😂
Or you can just mix portland cement, bonding agent, and use more water than usual. and paint it with the portland
One major difference is portland doesn't have the fine grit within the product. You'd have to mix sand in with it to achieve a similar result.

Medic311, those other two comments about requiring fine sand are correct.
Looks nice but where do you buy the product?
You can find the products on our website, diyconcrete.com. Thanks!
In our next video we'll show you how to hide all those ugly wires behind your ugly vinyl siding.
Can this be powerwashed after completely dry? Our pets often track up our porch and we have to powerwash it off.

trip over that downspout much?
Money cant get AB out of this one....
What sales pitch. Actually looking for how another regular guy fixed his shit.
Can you fix it for me :)
