About Young Sheldon:

bro there’s a cashier at Walgreens who does the same thing to me. It’s humiliating everytime. Like bro stfu I dont need you announcing to the whole store that Im buying spaghettios and twinkies.

My mom was in her boat lol. Back in 05 my counselor gave my mom a book about autistic girls.. My mom was offended at first but read it. She then said " who followed my kid and wrote a book about her?!" Lol. But thank to shit insurance I wasnt diagnosed till I was 19. My sweet southern mom made me a damn cake and ordered pizza just like she did when I had birthdays as a kid. " I wasnt crazy." I think if shdon got a diagnosis, Mary would do that for sheldon. She may not understand him, but she loves him more than words.
I wasn't diagnosed until 24. Not a competition, just like to point out that being considerate is definately a form of intelligence.
Here in India its still a thing to be offended if I, as an Occupational Therapy graduate ,try to imply that a child can perhaps be taken to see a Pediatrician.I did PG program in a different field as I realised India still has a long way to go in terms of even accepting help 😕 .If they do accept the diagnosis,our infrastructure/society really doesnt give them much chance to improve/be an independent adult.Few NGOs I interned with had total disregard for these kids.Such callous attitude 😖 .It was very disheartening.
My parents got me diagnosed as a toddler because they thought I was deaf.

The real irony here is that Sheldon's mother is actually the daughter of the actress who plays his mother in the Big Bang Theory. Hence the strong resemblance.

Because she coddles her son Sheldon, to the ridiculous extent and has a beta male who loves the attention.
Because she not only takes care of the whole house and the kids and husband. And herself. She has to put up with Sheldon, and the other 2 but mostly Sheldon.
Because she is always stressing herself trying to live up to unrealistic expectations she puts on herself.
Ugh! I don’t like it when cashiers do that! I once bought Preparation H at a store and the cashier held it up and said, “Oh, I hear this stuff works on wrinkles!” There was a huge lineup behind me! I just laughed and said, “Now you know my secret!” (But I don’t use it for that!) Some people in line giggled. Now I buy it online. 😅
That was highly inappropriate, and deserved a call to the management.
I would raise my voice at that man and tell him that if he’s gonna announce each of my items, then he’d be losing a customer.
Back then people were not very outspoken and if they did, would easily cause a scene and get attention, especially if a pretty, normal looking housewife did it. Furthermore, Mary is devoted to God and she especially trains herself to be a good Christian person.
If she were the character she was before she got married, she would have done worse than just snap at him for being annoying.
That's why I don't miss Blockbuster 😆

Oh yeah, I LOOOVE it when clerks speak real loudly about things you'd rather they be subtle about. I've actually asked bank tellers to lower their voice when they count my transaction back to me, and they get offended. I just don't need the whole lobby knowing how much I'm exiting with. Or the pharmacist insisting on droning "consults" before they give me the pills, when I already said I had no frigging questions about the medication. Grrrrrr.

I really love how they did that, put people from back then on there.
And on bb they mentioned that tv blossom was a dr and very smart but she was much too hot to have anything to do with them. And then she ended up being Amy in later seasons. Just genius. Plus how they had David and what's her name from Rosanne. Just incredible

Back then there was a huge stigma against mentally ill and disabled people. Mary was worried that if others heard she's buying a mental health book they'll start talking about her family.
