Czerny is the creator of the style that appears in many works after his own, in this video we will listen as Rachmaninov and Henselt Czerny Op.692 grand concert etude 21 Rachmaninov Op.16 moment musical no.4 Henselt Op.2 Etude 1
I think it is save to say that Czerny is the forefather of many later composers in the virtuoso pianorepertoire. The Abraham of pianotechnique reaching from Beethoven to Godowski and futher on Rachmanninoff His studies (Etudes) are a Biblia of pianotechnique.
Czerny public 692 in the same year but remember that Czerny had taught enough of Op.299, 740, 337, 365 and 400 to Liszt and Thalberg before they were published. So possibly Czerny composed 692 years before 1838
I didn't hear any piece from henselt ,thanks for sharing it . It's so useful to compare these pieces for musical form and Analyze. *Second Editing: I think heselt Inspired by etude no 12 F major Op.740 The Art of Dexterity* *Third Editing : after I searched henselt 12 grand etudes I found may be Cesar Frank piano piece prelude choral and fugue Inspired by henselt etude No.3 B minor or Conversely*
GREAT VIDEO!!! maybe Chopin's Prelude no. 24 is also influenced by Czerny? or the finale from Hummel's second piano concerto? Czerny is so underrated. Everybody knows his Études, but his works remain unknown. I think it's time for a Czerny revival.
I don't think Henselt nor Czerny were influenced by one another in this case, given that the etudes were published in the same year and, though their motifs are very similar, the etudes overall are quite different. The Rach is glaringly similar to the Czerny. Both are great though I'd say the Rach is slightly better.
Do you mean the D-minor Storm Prélude? If yes, I can Just agree. It was a favorite piece of mine since 2001. I Love the harmonic progessions and of course the melody. But I think it's pretty dumb to say that Chopins is "better" than Czernys Etude. Both are very beautiful and majestic. Let's Not dicuss. Let's just listen to that amazing pieces! Do you agree?

Marvelous!!!! Great combination of masterpieces!! Amazing!
Nice objective treatment of this topic. I like!

Very interesting comparision.
Interesantísima comparación, es evidente que el genio de Czerny inspiró a muchos pianistas posteriores a él...
Henselt was already published 1838! When was Czerny op.692? You need to include this info!

@@czeynerpianistproducercomp7155 so he composed in the year 1146 already?!! 🤔
@@Alias-Steff Lol, he was actually saying Czerny composed op. 692 years before 1838. But still, I had to chuckle, lol.
Thank you for posting this.
An important contribution to the History of the Piano.
Lugansky is like the only pianist who ever gets the dynamics right on this Rachmaninoff piece
He is not.

it's just your opinion for me Czerny and Henselt are better
Nice music. Chopin clearly got some inspiration from Czerny but nevertheless he is better composer.
Hmmm
Quien es el pianista?
De Czerny Kyotani Teruma, de Rachmaninov Nicolai Lugansky y el otro no me acuerdo
but, Chopin op.28-24 is better than.
No
@@czeynerpianistproducercomp7155 i want to know the reason you said "No".those are exciting, and very interesting compositions of course.

@@r0mmm You need to know that the uploader of this video leaves comments saying Chopin is shit all over the places.
@@tobigtosuk Yes I know that dude. And not like him. But I'm tired of commenting on his stupidity. That's why I said to stop discussing
