One of the oddest baseball careers to me is Brandon Webb. He acrued a 30+ war 3 straight all star games and a 3 straight runner up or better performances in the Cy Young race. And just like that he pitches only one more game and he's done. I know he got injured but to never try the come back trail is just different.
I've started looking into players who were at the top of their game and we're gone in the blink of an eye. Another one was Mark Fydrich. There's something about being at the top and skydiving that's fascinating.
I’m a Brewers/White Sox fan so I’ve got plenty of experience with my teams sucking. However man these last couple years have been great. Even got to see game 163 when the Brewers beat the cubs at the dump called Wrigley! However man the losing years where every ‘next big thing’ was hyped up were brutal. The only pain now is the inevitable loss of star players in a couple years to teams that can pay (at least for the Brewers).
The key is just to appreciate everything while it's good. That's kind of what I'm doing with the Phoenix Suns right now after so many years of watching them suck. Like I said, going through the valleys makes the hills that much sweeter.
I'm from San Diego and Padres ownership has been horrible since 98. We lost the Chargers, Rockets and Clippers. We have zero championships. I'm 38 and would like to get at least one before I die.
it's my cricket team(we don't have baseball here), my team always have one of the best teams in the league and we always somehow either don't qualify or lose in playoffs,we have a slogan which is mocked "ee sala cup namde" which translates to "this year the cup is ours" , but we take pride in it as the more we get mocked by the slogan we know that we are more relevant then other teams but seriously underrated channel which i would not know of if one of your videos were not in my recommendations
This is the 5th video I've watched from you. RUclips started recommending you, most likely due to me watching Jomboy, Foolish Baseball, and SB Nation/Secret Base. If RUclips's almighty algorithm has decided to start recommending you to those viewerships, I'd expect to see your views and subs start increasing quite a bit around now.
