Cheers Mike I travel 44 flights a year on BA , Emirates and Air Canada and TUI to Mexico. Needed to refresh myself on Gatwick North as it’s been a year and needed to remind myself of the shops or lack there of.
You are very welcome and thanks very much for watching If it was useful, would you mind please, giving it a like as that will help the RUclips algorithm push it to others who may also like it and also help me grow my channel Appreciate your comments. Thanks again
Nice one Mike, we used this last year for the first time (vs MCO and Sanford) and found it to be so easy to navigate, not too far from the Orlando area and clean/friendly. It was relatively quiet and when we arrived, sensibly a new system was in place where we collected baggage first then onto customs where there was a trickle of tourists instead of the massive arrival queue. Back there in 8 weeks, happy days.
You are very welcome and I'm glad it helped. If you haven't already, please can you give the video a like, as it will help RUclips to push it out to others who may benefit from it. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. It is a really relaxed experience at this airport and a lot less hassle than at Sanford. Have a safe trip
Wow....I used to fly to MLB in the 80s when I had relatives in the area. At that time only Eastern flew into MLB and there were no jet bridges and only one level. Looks like the airport grew up.
@davidhamilton1881 Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed the video? If you did, please give it a thumbs up as it will really help my channel. Really interesting hearing your comments. We have always flown into Sanford the previous times we have been to Florida, but not any more 😊 MLB is really lovely, quiet and plenty of room to shop, eat in peace and relax before your flight. Excellent and quick for arrivals too. Thanks again for watching

Wow that's incredible. I've not heard that before, as its usually an easy journey. Thank you very much for watching and for your nice comments. A bad accident at home stopped me posting my Florida videos recently, but I'm back on the case now and posted my most recent one yesterday of Disney All Star Movies. Its been frustrating for me as I've tried hard to start growing my channel and could have done without a 7 week interruption, but people like yourself taking the time to write a comment, helps with the motivation. Thank you very much We loved Animal Kingdom Lodge by the way when we stayed there
@Mikes_Travels I think it's because it called in all of the value resorts en route as well as Coronado Springs too. Yes Jambo House is fantastic. Get well soon.
Hi and thanks very much for watching and for asking after me. Sadly I am, as I did a lot of internal damage in the accident, but things are slowly getting better and I'm hoping to be able to be back to near normal by the end of the year I'm also hoping to begin to edit and post my USA videos from last month over the coming weeks Take care
@m9ldo593 Thanks for watching and for your comments, much appreciated. Good to know about the car hire 👍 We found the overall airport experience much better than Sanford
@@Mikes_Travels really enjoyed the vlog and agree the over all airport experience is better than Sanford and I’d extend that to MCO as well, If and hopefully when they develop the car hire pick up to allow a skip the queue they will have cracked it for me. Either way though this is our airport of choice now for TUI Newcastle- Orlando flying premium.
@m9ldo593 Really appreciate that, thank you. Comments and people liking the videos really helps my channel to grow through subscribers, so I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. We will definitely be using this airport in the future and perhaps give the car hire a go next time. Thanks again for watching
Melbourne is how Sanford was 20 yrs ago, just twice as far away from Orlando. It,s ok but I still prefer to fly into Orlando international which it over 12 miles to Downtown Orlando not the 6 you mention. I will be flying into both before next summer so I might change my opinion.
@ovy6136 Thank you for watching and for your comments. Much appreciated. I guess it depends on what you are looking for, eg, more shops and choices to eat etc at Sanford. Sanford is closer as you say, but with Melbourne, you don't have the crowds, the queues and the longer waiting times you do at Sanford. From my experience of both, I'd rather have the quicker in and out. Whilst Sanford is closer, I've found from experience that there is no time saving in travelling to and from Sanford, due to traffic, parking wait times etc. Be interested in your opinion once you've done both Thanks again for watching
@Mikes_Travels Sanford and Orlando International are two different airports . UK airlines stopped flying there 2 yrs ago despite only being 40 miles from internatial drive and was a quick drive. Orlando International is about 8 miles from international drive , it's busier but still quicker than from Melbourne where the average drive now is heading towards 2 hrs with traffic unless you hit lucky.
@ovy6136 Sorry I meant Orlando International. I've flown into Florida about 10 times from the UK and most of that over the years has been to Sanford. I've also been in and out of Orlando International and always found Melbourne quicker. Guess I've been lucky. For me it's not necessarily the journey time, it's the hassle free, relaxed environment and hardly any queuing. Thanks for your comments
Nice. This is the kind of airport you want. Melbourne is a nice town and Melbourne Beach is great. Fort Lauderdale is awful, West Palm is still good, Orlando is okay but car rental there are a rip off. I wish Americans could use TUI to fly to Europe and UK. You have to use a VPN and still cannot book flights.
@NormanStansfield1 Thank you for watching and for your comment. A lovely and practical little airport and town, as you say. It is a shame that Tui can't be used the other way, esp as a lot of the flights are half empty from Melbourne
@@Mikes_Travels … I’m weeks away from a full recovery, but doing my best. Nice to see you are well enough to put out a video … best wishes on your recovery too. ❤️🩹
@adventureswithfarmertroy to be honest, the video was more or less ready to go before my accident, so it took very little work to upload it. My medication is doing the pain relief work at the moment, but I'll be months away from being back to normal, sadly. Good luck with your recovery
Thank you for watching I didn't see the bus stops, but I understand that you can get a bus from the airport to Orlando / Disney World. Its best to probably Google the option, but I'm sure it does exist.

So much better than flying into Orlando international airport. Very easy place to navigate 😊
A lovely airport, quiet and really efficient. Definately my airport of choice when visiting Orlando.

Flew with TUI from Manchester Sep. Melbourne Airport is so much easier to navigate than Orlando.
Food menu was exactly the same.
Thanks very much for watching and for your comment. It will help those travelling from Manchester as well. 👍
