The club have bought some land this time so no chance of losing it again..They have made a start on laying track, but this Covid has put a stop on that for a time..Hope to make a visit next year...Again this video will feature in a "Gone but not forgotten" soon.
Like the look of the railway. A good run out on what looks a well-maintained track. Very good Taunton, and Chris, for producing another good film for us to view.
Nice club and railway, like most clubs Kay a friendly bunch of guys. The only thing that worried me was the M5 runs very close to the track, with cars flying past,if ever there was a crash, very much like Pentney no barriers!.......Chris
Got some great videos here, you just don't realise how many of these fine railways there are out there, thanks for bringing them to us. Look forward to 2017 season. Chris
We have been trying to ride all the standard, preserved/narrow and miniature railways of GB for the last 44 years, the videos are my record of each one so i'm glad you find them of interest,I have been told before that they never knew just how many railways we have in this country. We have many more to ride and film in 2017,Scotland and the North being our main aim.Thank you so much for your kind comment Salty........Best wishes Chris.
my interest comes from being the last living ex driver of the old green and cream trains on Southend Pier, I go back to when we had 4 trains and 2 operating signal boxes, great fun job.
Like you I thought the turntable very nice a lot of work has gone into the detail. The little 03 was quit an unusual model and preformed very well......Regards Chris.
Ah, i never knew they had a track in Creech St Michael. This looks a good one with plenty of track. Nice to see good Passenger numbers too...A very enjoyable watch both....Cheers....Steve.-:)
Hi Steve,This is why I share my videos, people just don't realise they have railways next door or very close to them, well worth a visit........Regards Chris.
You are right Henry. This line is now closed..They have bought a site of their own so no more Council problems. They are getting on well with it,hopefully they will have it open soon..The town park club railway is not on Y/T as I cannot find the video...Will have to visit that again.
Thank you David, the trips out will be slowing down now as the running season comes to an end,it will give me more chance to work and play on my own.......Best wishes Chris
Once again, another excellent video. I have a suggestion. Due to all of the awesome uploads in recent months would you make a sort of Whistle / Horn montage?
Will see about that Matt,we soon will be sorting out for 2017 season soon,I know Scotland is on the cards plus more of the northern area and we hope another southern trip.So we have some more great videos lined up for you all next year.....Best wishes Chris
Hi Robin..The club have closed this site and removed the track. They are now rebuilding it at a new location a mile or so away...If you check out the clubs website, that should give you more details.
What a fantastic miniature railway and what a shame that it's no longer there, hoping as much as possible has been saved.
