That og pair that lil circle loop you double back the laces in them. It was the best part of the OG. Waiting on the black with the reflective gold sides (2001) . That was the pair I had. The homie had a grey with red highlight OG. The best of times...
Glad to watch a video about D3 2001 in 2022! I still have both paurs bought circa 2004/2005 : the grey & yellow model and the black & red one! They are giant and a bit heavy!! I love the reflective parts, however the airbags turned opaque through the years.

@@DavidBluetile Shame they went out of business so quickly, they had a lot of interesting tech in their shoes for the time. I really enjoy your early in-depth looks at upcoming releases BTW, you deserve more subs.
Just like some of my favorite basketball kicks from the late 80s and 90s, I won’t wear them for basketball but damn they sure look good. Same with the Osiris. D3! The most super doped shoe of the era. Don’t skate these but rock the Ish out of them. as a sneaker head and a shoe enthusiast, these were definitely hot in 2001 and still super dope in 24!
Just a note on the Lanvin curbs. They took everything that made the D3 great and removed everything that made it shit. The Curb's are the most insanely comfortable shoe I have ever worn in my entire life. I practically live in mine. The D3's just are not as comfortable as people say, they feel a bit cardboard-y and the silhouette isnt that elegant. Also they wear out so much faster and lose their initial comfort. Lanvin fixed all of these. They are $1000 for a reason. The materials are equisite, the shape is perfect, they wear in beautifully and they last forever. All you have to do it put your foot in them and youre good to go, even the D3's needed some sort of tightening or else my foot would fall out. Also the foam on the tongue is much stiffer, thicker and tougher so it doesnt get all soft and floppy over time like the D3's. I really believe they are the most exquitely designed trainer I have ever seen and they look so much better than the D3's, in my opinion. Some of the colourways are terrible, but the single colours like the all blacks or the more subtle colour combos are really spectacular, especially in person.
