@@Chubby-chinZamboni @kcant65 check the post Alex made today about this most recent patch and the bugs that are still prevalent. Might hold back on a purchase for a bit longer until these issues get resolved. Maybe game will be on sale for 40-50% by then.

Thanks for putting me on to Midnight Fight Express. The camera angle really makes for a different beat-em-up experience, when they all seem like Streets of Rage clones.

PUPPETCOMBO - Glass Staircase looks like my kinda game. I’m old enough to remember buying my copy of Resident Evil 1 on PS1 from a classified ad in the newspaper.
Ghost song and Vernal Edge are definite adds to the library
Sifu and Red Dead Redemption...can't go wrong with either of them.

Vernal Edge is a great game that really forces you to evaluate your skill as the mechanics only allow for that to be the case.
Also, just placing it: Puppet Combo - not smart enough to really come up with a cool phrase or joke
I've been purposely missing these EShop Sale because of my backlog, Midnight Fight Express and Double Dragon Gaiden will be my Puppet Combo for my newly added backlog games. I'm currently trying to finish Chasm.

DD Gaiden is one of my favourite modern beat 'em up.
A lot of games here have been on my wish list for a while. Top of my wish list are Sifu, New Star GP and Vernal Edge.
Oh and: Puppet Combo.
Puppet Combo...Dunham/Peanut. I'd like to get a port of the Clocktower series, loved playing those games.
Midnight Fight Express is a really fun beat em up with decent difficulty later on. Also challenges for each level and unlocks give it replay value.
Just snagged Double Dragon Gaiden on PC due to a current PuppetCombo at Humble Bundle for $20.

Great video, I subscribed, I wonder if you remember one Switch game that just came to memory watching your video, it was a 2dgame where one can travel to future or past era to continue through the path, a bit like "Another world" or "Flashback"

If they still have the physical in stock on the My Nintendo store you can get Red Dead for this price. They price match all the physical games that they have on there with the eshop prices. I don't know why Nintendo is selling RDR but that's how I got the physical one time it was on sale last year. It's always good to check to see if they sell a physical of a game you are looking for because some like RDR are a surprise. That's for at least Canada, US and UK. I don't know about the other My Nintendo stores and price matching the eshop.
I also got the physical of Skyward Sword on sale at the same time though because at least in Canada they do have a minimum order price for free shipping which is the only real drawback compared to something like Best Buy. But the physical of RDR has not gone on sale yet in Canada at retailers for switch(just the PS4 version does which is all the time) so it was the best option for physical.
I love all of the puppet combo games, everyone needs to keep their eyes on them

Can’t go wrong with Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons if you like beat em’ ups
That game looks so good
It does have some rougelite design but a playthrough is more akin to a traditional beat'em up with limited continues then a rougelite to those worried. It's more if you don't waste money on continues you get more powerful, so the better you play the more powerful you get. If kinda just amplifies the old beat'em up recipe imo anyway.
That Vernal Edge deal is so tempting as disappointingly, I still can't find a physical copy in my country.
It's getting harder and harder to say no to ghost song, but I'm hoping for 50% off before pulling the trigger

The hand drawn artstyle for GhostSong really works well in this game. Will have to add it to my wish list. Should scratch that Metroid Dread itch. Puppetcombo

I have Hunter X and Hunter X Code Name T. I've only played the 1st one. It's pretty good. like it. I just finised Pronty(so good this one) yesterday and Salt and Sanctuary last week. So i think i'll take a short break from metroidvanias.

Ilove puppet combo games, they're my favorite horror game devs. Also I might pick up this game Athenian Rhapsody I played the demo it reminds me of that game underworld or undertail.. or I might pick up the Jurassic Park collection that's at a nice 20% sale.

Double dragon gaiden has a very cool art style, might have to buy it on sale. These videos are so bad for my wallet. As others have mentioned, the fixture is one of my favorite switch accessories; I use it often, especially while traveling
