Especially charming today.
Awesomeness. If at hotel across the street, he shouldn't use your parking lot.
If that’s the entrance to your office is that an actually parking spot where that antique car was parked? I love that Wedding Hydrangea I hope I can find it here 🇨🇦. Looks beautiful great job and video.
Great refresh Erin! You’ll have to give us an update when the hydrangea is in bloom and the annuals grow in a bit!
Erin, you blow me away...to learn that not only are you out gardening with such gusto but you also hold down a regular job! So, you aren’t a lady of leisure, even if the leisure moments were out in the garden! You go, Girl! You have my respect and appreciation! 👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️🥰👍
Hello, that’s what I just commented! We are on the same wavelength!
It’s amazing the amount of impact a few well placed gorgeous shrubs can make on a space. Every office has a plant lady/guy 😃😃. I enjoyed hanging with you Erin thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the video, Can you do some before and after photos? That would be great!!!
Love This! And I' sure yuoi have said but what do you do for work? Love your work? Enjoy your videos so much.
I’ve looked for the White Wedding Hydrangea sadly with no luck. Your entrance is going to be beautiful. Thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊
Erin, I have to tell you that after watching your video using your Power Planter auger where you planted a huge number of plants in an afternoon, I went to Power Planter's website and used the code for 15% off of a 5" x 28" Heavy Duty Power Planter. I ordered the DeWalt 60v concrete mixer drill at the same time, so now (they arrived yesterday) I think I'm ready to tackle this awful heavy clay soil! Got the battery charged up and ready for planting this evening once it cools down some. ~Margie💪👀
I saw that hydrangea in a HortTube video just yesterday and immediately put it on my Must Have list. I'm planning to put two of them, side by side, at the corner of the house. I'll be able to see them from the back porch.
get it its worth it. its going to make you feel so proud. its the easiest hydrangea and the best looking, better than any panicle hydrangea. limelight, limelight prime, little lime etc are good but this one is very sturdy and does not flop at all even when it rains.
I’ve had Forever Goldie in my mild Pacific Northwest for several years, and love them. Last year we had a heat dome and they got a little scorched. They do need a little protection from harsh heat.
So nice to see the makeover. ☺️ Love simple but striking. My sister just sold her condo across the street from you, I was so excited to get to “visit” the town for a few minutes, so thank you. ☺️
The refresh looks great, definitely update us at some point later in the season so we can see everything in its full glory!
Hello, I am searching for a battery operated chainsaw. Would love to see if you can do a comparison or team with a company like stihl or a more bargain model.
It's so important to have one and as a single woman I would love to know what's a good option.
Plus I'd love to see you get one for free. !
I bought 2 white wedding hydrangeas in early spring from Walmart garden center. I planted them in two large black square containers next to the entry on our front porch. They are now in full bloom and contrast beautifully in the black containers. I will add them to my garden in the fall so they can grow and be happy with all the other hydrangeas I have.
I did the same! They are actually my first hydrangeas I’ve bought..., I’m so excited they are a beautiful plant and I can see more in my future
What a nice improvement! Love the wire vine too! 💚 When you leaned in to tell us that the car moved, I had to laugh (though if I owned that pretty car I’d be cautious too). I felt like I was right there with you. 🤣
I am like you and did not think southern living plants would work for my zone 5 Indiana garden will have to check them out.
Now you’ve got me thinking about what might survive year-round in that planter… dwarf red twig dogwood? Much to consider.
I am the gardener for a wedding venue and incorporate plants that have wedding and romance names. I put six Southern Living White Wedding hydrangeas in the gardens two years ago. They had a few huge blooms last year but the plants were still small. I’m hoping this year they will be filled with blooms. Zone 5/6 SE MI
I bought the goldy thuja last fall and I feel it hasn’t grown much, maybe 6”, love it but I wish it was a fast growing arb. I love the color it pops so nicely and can’t wait for it to grow more and it is drought tolerant here in Texas but I am watering it more for its first summer hoping it grows more. Can’t wait to see how it grows for you!
Hey Erin ,it looks wonderful and when that hydrangea blooms, your going to thank yourself for planting it there.
That white wedding hydrangea seems awesome. I too LOVE the wire vine for containers! I picked up a few yesterday ( honestly).
Beautiful transition to the entryway. Can’t wait for an update when the hydrangea is in bloom. So pretty and just what I needed. Im in north Idaho and it literally has been raining for two weeks straight with very little reprieve. 🌧☔️⛈ my porch is full of flowers yet to be planted. Soon I hope 🤞
Love the fresh bright look these plants add to the space! Excited to see how they grow and fill in over the season! Thanks for sharing Erin!
Nice cleanup! Cool car. I would have moved it myself.
I am planting bleeding hearts and ferns in my garden today. I love your channel.
Wow, what beautiful plants! I'm going to check out that hydrangea! Loved the Goldy too, but won't work for my zone 4. Nice work, Erin, they're lucky to have you! 😉
Beautiful, keep safe and may God bless you always, i do DIY and recycling, friend from Philippines
Looks great. One suggestion/question can the pot by the front door be moved away from the building just enough to give the plants a bit of breathing room. Maybe six to eight inches?
Yes and I actually did exactly that the other day when I stood back and took another look it.
Can't wait to see the update on these when they are blooming and fill in!
Beautiful plantings for your office! So nice of you to do that. The car story made me LOL!
That’s funny that you said having southern living collections for zone 5 because I wonder about buying plants from that company also. I’m in 5b Cleveland Ohio and we are big in proven winners since they are Michigan base. Curious how well it does compared to PW hydrangeas
Hi Erin, thank you for sharing these awesome varieties with us. Could you please weigh in, as someone who has many different hydrangeas, is it possible to keep the ‘White Wedding’ at 3-4 feet tall maximum? Would pruning achieve that?
Erin, those shrubs are both gorgeous! I hope they survive the pedestrian foot traffic that cuts thru there. This is just a thought, since there is a walkway going to a front door there, maybe the business could have the city designate that by painting the bright orangish-yellow diagonal lines indicating that it's not a parking space.
I would love that. I doubt they would because parking is at a premium here but I suppose I could ask.
Great job, Erin! Your skill in container arrangements is well honed. I definitely can learn from you!🤗
wait! I thought you were in
Minnesota! I recognize those buildings .. huh. no wonder you are zone 5.
Love wirevine! And you can take cuttings in the fall and root them for the following year - such great texture and movement in a container:)
Paint lines on the ash fault so the cars won’t park at the front entrance😆
How fun to see a different location in your area. I'm in Georgia, Zone 8a, and I grow White Wedding Hydrangea, along with tons of other varieties. It's one of my favorite panicles. I have it in part sun and full sun. They manage great and bloom better in full sun. Nice strong stems so no flopping with these. One of the first panicles to bloom in my garden and I love how they fade to lime green. I keep the flower heads all winter until the daffodils start to bloom. Definitely one of my favorites.
Aww! I grow Forever Goldy too. I have two in pots flanking my front door. Super easy plant. It's on the northside of my house so not a lot of sun but it keeps that gold color. I've had them in those pots for about four years.
What kind of work do you do?
Would love to see a hedge of this hydrangeas along side of the building!
That would be gorgeous but I think it would a failure as everyone walks there when the parking lot is a snowy mess.
Hooooooow do you do it? I just assumed you were full time vlogger but now I find out you have a day job!!!!! My mind = blown!
I’m behind on a lot of stuff. Including sleep 😀
What do you use for fertilizer for annuals? How often?
I use Osmocote at planting and then Proven Winners water soluable every 1-2 weeks
Lovely plants!!! I am sure they will amazing once they mature. I just hope they will not get destroyed, especially the hydrangea, during winter snow removing! I cry, when I see plants demolished by plows.
I'm Zone 9 so ..
Just bought 6 white wedding hydrangeas for our front entry-planting this weekend. Not only is it floriferous, it is very upright and sturdy, with a beautiful natural vase shape. Great selection, and I can’t wait to watch the impact they will provide!
would the macrorhizum geranium that does so well ar your house be a good solution for the weedy city owned part of the bed?
Actually yes. That would be great there
I bet you could landscape that “weedy mess” area too and the city probably wouldn’t mind 😉
I’m certain they’d be ok with that. 😀
If the white wedding hydrangea is in the Southern Living collection but can survive cold, I'd presume that they can survive heat as well? I'm also in zone 5 on a 100 degree day.
Great video! I’m going to look for that hydrangea, since it sounds like it’s good for zone 4, as well. It’s beautiful! Love the evergreen too. I hope you give us an update on these later in the summer so we can see how they have done. Especially the hydrangea!!
Love what you've done! Do you think the town would agree to you perhaps adding some ground cover to their scraggly area? Something simple to complement the Hydrangeas? 🌻🌹 🌻 🌹 🌻
Great job, Erin! Love your choices...especially the wire vine! Very fun.
It looks great Erin. What about to the right of the sidewalk leading up to where you planted the arborvitae? Also, do you have a second planter box exactly like the one you planted to put to the left of the window? I think that would make a really balanced look. Great job!
Erin, love the planter. Only one problem: that double window needs a window box! ☺️💚
The 2 plantings have a major effect. The space looks less like a contractor's space and more like a place where people belong.
Ugh why don’t deer read the rules! Such cheaters.
I figured you were using deer candy here 😆 Oh I LOVE wine vine. It does what not many other plants will.
I didn't have good luck with wire vine. I had it in full sun. Maybe it was too much sun?
Good job!
Good job!
What? You have a day job? How can you do that with your amazing garden? Love your channel. 🌹❤️
Love the wire vine but cannot find it ANYWHERE my area - Zone 6 western PA!
I have the white wedding hydrangeas surrounding my pool in Iowa Zone 5a and they are GORGEOUS.
I have my southern living hydrangea white wedding in my backyard in full sun all day long. It’s doing extremely well, better than my Proven Winners Limelight sitting right next to it. (I’m in zone 9 Hou Texas)
Wow !!! Cute 😁 Your place of employment is so lucky 😉
It will so gratifying for you when you come to work. Love the shrub!
Looks like Port Washington. Was there last summer.
The white wedding hydrangeas look very pretty.
They make a difference. I hope you plant more plants there
That is really nice! I love the wire vine, can't find it where I live.
Omg that car is so pretty too
It was! I loved the color.
Great plant choice its amazing to see just two plants jazz up an area.
That’s a cool hydrangea. Good job!
Hi Erin - will it be a problem for the potted arborvitae backed against the wall without airflow or sunshine? Will the back turn brown? I've never planted a pot like this for this concern - maybe I'm worrying for nothing.
I did pull it out a touch and I do think long term that would be an issue. My guess is that one season won’t make a difference
Love wire vine in containers
Good Saturday morning y’all! One of my favorite places to hang out is with a hott cup of coffee You- Laura- Jenny and Janey! Gosh what I’d pay to see the four of you y’all ladies together ..... just saying ✨🤍
Very nice, Erin.
Hilarious Erin! That person with a historic car ticks me off! Why is he parking in your OFFICE PARKING space whilst staying at the hotel across the road??
People are so entitled and have NO MANNERS!! Why not leave the shrub (seems a tad tight to the brick wall) and decorate for Christmas instead of bringing her home? What a lovely IMPROVEMENT to the landscaping.
I should have clarified. It a public parking lot. The hotel doesn’t have enough parking so they have a deal with the city to allow cars to park in certain city lots.
@@TheImpatientGardener, Port definitely has a shortage of parking. When I come back to visit, it's a crap shoot if I'll find a place to park. 😂
Great video, Erin! Would you be able to remind us - what is the brand of peat-free potting soil you use? I'm having difficulty finding anything peat free.
She uses Organic Mechanics generally.
@@thyme2grow Thank you!
That first parking spot should not be for parking and should be lined off so it’s not used for parking especially with the walkway to the door. Love the planter.
I agree but it’s a city-owned lot so nothing we can do about it.
Why is the car parked infront of a sidewalk
It’s not a sidewalk. It’s the entrance to our building and that’s a public city-owned parking lot so they decide what’s a parking spot and what’s not.
