“Wake up With Watches” and host Tim Mosso! RUclips’s premier curated luxury watch safari returns with a stellar line up of top luxury watch brands including Rolex, Omega, Grand Seiko, A. Lange & Sohne, and Patek Philippe.
Rolex watches anchor Tim’s comeback episode. As usual, he strives to showcase unusual Rolex models with uncommon dials, bezels, and reference numbers.
The platinum 50th anniversary Cosmograph Daytona leads the line; this is Tim’s favorite Rolex not dubbed “Z-Blue” or “Oysterquartz.” A second Rolex Daytona from the year 2000 “Daytona Beach” quartet struts its yellow mother of pearl dial on our table. The GMT-Master II here is represented in its blue dial white gold form with Pepsi dial and its black-and-blue bezel “Batman” form (with Oyster bracelet). Rolex’s flagship from the 1978 model year, a yellow gold Day Date with ferrite dial, acts as our vintage Rolex entry for the day.
Omega’s Speedmaster series arrives in stainless steel and titanium. The former is a rare 2006 model year Apollo 15 35th anniversary limited edition with rose gold bezel, chronograph pushers, and crown. The latter is the Speedmaster ’57, a sensational and underrated 41.5mm titanium sports chronograph with swimmable 100-meter water resistance. For those who desire pure dive watch depth ratings, two 300-meter Seamasters are featured. The “electric blue” dial Seamaster Diver 300M 2255 shares table space with the vintage themed Seamaster 300M with a full Omega factory NATO strap.
High horology watches receive their due. A rare and discontinued Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph 5980 sports versatile size, durable stainless steel construction, a manufacture automatic chronograph caliber with flyback capability, and a charismatic blue gradient dial. F.P. Journe’s signature watch, the Tourbillon Souverain, recalls the very first Montres Journe product from 1999. Newcomer Laurent Ferrier demonstrates its mastery of watchmaking, engineering, and design in equal measure with the enamel dial Galet Traveller Cloisonne in white gold.
Finally, Grand Seiko stuns with two 2019 watches from its Spring Drive family of 3-day hybrid calibers. The first is the so-called “Skyflake,” a blue dial variation on the much-loved Grand Seiko “Snowflake.” The second is a 650-piece limited edition Grand Seiko Spring Drive tribute to 65 years of Godzilla, Japan’s most visible cinematic star.

It was the right closer. I usually pick some kind of crazy complication or independent brand exotic to cap the show, but the rule is "coolest watch," not "costliest watch," and the 407 was the coolest watch on the table today.

It Great to have Tim "The Time Wizard" Mosso on our RUclips screens again :D
I have to say my favorite watches from today's selection has to be the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Chronograph Black, and the Ressence Type 5 Diver

My favorite WatchBox show is back! Anyway getting back down to business...not really, just my humble opinion on some of the watches 😉
The Oris Clean Ocean in this case size and dial color has to be my favorite ‘affordable’ modern diver. I think it has the best tone and grain of blue sunburst I’ve seen. And the follow-up Panerai has to be my new favorite model from that brand too (together with the smaller cased forged carbon Submersible) I don’t think I’ve ever seen a blue sunburst dialed Panerai before, it really lifts the watch and at 44mm it’s not overtly large either.
Together with the Zeitwerk the Lange Pulsometer chronograph is my favorite model of the brand, but maybe not with this black dial, I think there’s a rose gold cased, white dialed variation too?
That vintage late 70s Rolex Day-Date is gorgeous! Nicer than a lot of the newer ones! Gorgeous Reverso too. The white dialed/titanium cased Omega chronograph is very nice as well. I’d wear that IWC backside up! A beautiful oversized movement. The red dialed GS is very nice despite the size, like the way the dial and faceted case play with the light.

I *love* the Brooklands, excellent choice. It's "Westminster Abbey on wheels", as Clarkson put it. Also, those high-end luxury cars like that tend to depreciate at a fantastic rate such that you can get a used one in excellent condition (they're usually well cared for) with something like 5-30k miles on it for maybe 20-30% of what the original owner paid. The VW Phaeton used to be one of these, though the newest ones if you're in North America (last production year was 2006) are a bit too old now in my opinion. I remember that thing used to sell lightly used for something like $15k 10 years ago, and the original retail was around $100k.

Speedmaster and seamaster is all you ever hear about when the true gem is the railmaster half you people with dive watches don't even swim. Same goes for rolex its all about the submariner when the rolex explorer I is the real beauty.

Please get rid of the sunglasses. I really like the content and your watch knowledge is amazing but I just can't take anything seriously anymore with those sunglasses on...

Can you confirm that? How do you think it will impact the market globally?ruclips.net/video/xlrcEEIhyis/видео.html
