Barry looks and sounds really good in this video. Secret Love is one of my favorite late Bee Gees songs. It’s so catchy, plus I love the message. Who doesn’t like to have a secret love now and then? 😉

@@kthor I just try to shut them down. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Oh how I wish I could just call up my ole friend, Barry, and he could set the record straight whenever necessary. Unfortunately, even if I did know him, he probably wouldn’t be free to be totally open and honest, as a star. It’s always notable how people who know a star, if they at all love and respect that star, usually don’t post much on social media. So if I did ever know him I’d be conscripted into secrecy, too. So people like these Robin fans are left to run rampant. Sucks to be a star. They should hire and pay people like you and me to clean up the social media sites.

Man this is awesome! Barry's voice was really powerful as always, Robin's range was incredible and Maurice's voice was so smooth! And it's really nice to watch their live videos because you can hear Maurice more!

Curious that Robin got 3 seconds of close up video (0:48 to 0:51) in spite of singing co-lead throughout the song and got none at all during his solo segment of the song. Why? Mo even got more, which is OK, and he had no lead vocal at all. That seems the usual pattern.☹Many of us love Robin.

@@ajoruram Rereading this makes me want to respond more. YOU adore and love Robin especially. YOU. Many Bee Gees fans adore and love Barry especially. Barry took and hoarded nothing. He was given what he earned and deserved, and what others wanted to give him. He didn’t take attention and respect. He commanded it. There’s a difference. He wasn’t complicit in anything. In fact, I’d argue he was very generous to the other two in what they got, and the opportunities they got. Barry could’ve been selfish. Robin’s rightful place was lead singer #2. They all said so. Barry’s was lead singer #1. He was also the rhythm-keeper, frontman, showman, leader, and chief songwriter. I just found a quote recently that you might dislike. Not sure what publication it was from. It’s about Barry: "You're selling golden eggs and you know he's the goose," said Bee Gees producer Albhy Galuten by phone. "It was obvious that he was the leader of the group in about five minutes in terms of his actions and songwriting skills," said album engineer Karl Richardson in a separate phone interview.”
It was clear to everyone who the leader was when it came to actions and songwriting skills. And who the goose laying the golden eggs was. It was clear to Stigwood who the frontman was. It was clear to everyone who saw him who had won the genetic lottery. He also kept their rhythm with his guitar skills and moves, and was a natural showman. And you think Robin’s rightful place is where? How about some rightful appreciation for Barry for once? All these things bring with them attention and acclaim. Stop being so stingy toward him, and reluctant to give credit where it’s due. Quit jealously trying to grasp it for Robin. Barry wasn’t in on some sinister plot. He was just blessed, both naturally and because of what he did and the man he was. The jealous hoarders are some Robin fans. Barry was exceptional, and still is. Accept it and admit it. K’thanks.
Finally, as far as who was the best singer, they both had great voices, distinct (but different) vibrato, and skill with their voices. But Barry had the wider range, his voice was more commercial, and it was his falsetto that made them truly famous and wealthy. But at the end of the day, who’s best, something Robin fans are so concerned with, is up to opinion and taste. Barry’s gorgeous vocals, his tone, his style of vibrato, his emotion, his control, his softness, his soul reach deep down in me.
