  • We got more pigs! Delilah and Sampson are both Idaho Pasture Pigs, which is a cross between Old Berkshire, Duroc and Kune Kune. A family wanted to trade us Maple for these guys and we couldn't say no. Maple is going to be their family milk cow once she is of age. Ive been busy Sheetrocking upstairs, hopefully we will be finished by march!

Great video, good to see another 2 pigs added to the homestead. Rosie has such a nice disposition, she is a keeper. The upstairs is looking good, it will be real satisfying when you have it all completed.

Wow! The upstairs is coming along quickly, looks good! Love your videos. I’ve been sharing here and there- want to make sure this channel doesn’t go away. This is exactly what people your age & younger need to be learning about. To make it easier on yourself, could you setup 3 or 4 cameras around the farm where you spend most of your time so you don’t have to keep moving the camera around? IDK… I have no experience with filming or how the whole RUclips video thing works- just a thought I had. I think you could just aim a camera on all of your animals and I’d watch all day long. They all definitely have their own personalities, so cute!!! Take care of yourselves you two.

That would be great! WE only have one camera for now, as our channel grows im sure we can upgrade and get more cameras for better angles/shots

My husband and I bought an amish farm in Southern Michigan 7 years ago. It was quite the journey but well worth it. Completely converted now and it's beautiful. We kept the hardwood floors (mostly) Added some carpet. We raise a few steers, layers and meat chickens. Love it here!

Perhaps he would be easier to catch with a yummy treat in your hand for the calf. Or a bucket of grain or whatever you use shaking it.. they learn quickly it means something good and come to you instead of you going after him

give the chickens 1x 1,000w light bulb closer to give them warmth and light a few hours a days (7-10h)timed to the season and you might get some eggs as there is not enough light and warmth during the winter months. I am not entirely sure about that but its an idea.

I could never kill any animal that I raised. I'd rather go vegan.....
Just leave the slaughter business to those who don't mind killing.

Totally understand. For me, I would rather raise them myself and process them. As a meat eater its important to me to know where my food comes from, how they were treated, and make sure they only have 1 bad day.
