Great suggestions. I will be using several such as decluttering emails and texts as the school year begins. I am a substitute teacher and have various small breaks throughout the day to do such tasks when kids aren't in my care. I really liked your comment about junk drawers. We have ONE. Just one. It has writing utensils, Scotch tape, measuring tape, scratch paper, extra keys, post it notes, flashilight, etc in it. It's beneficial to us. Also, as an associate working for an organizing company I have seen folks with EVERY drawer appearing to be a JUNK drawer, but we just have one and it works. LOVE your videos as they are very REAL. Not Pie in the Sky stuff that some present to having a perfect world. Love it!
The last time I took to declutter anything, I went through my sentimental box. I was able to get rid of some old papers, and I also made a pile of some things I knew my mother would want to keep, but that I no longer want. Thank you for the inspiration, Sarah! 😊
good ideas. thank you. i have done many of these things. there is one area that needs decluttering that very few discuss. i was diagnosed type 2 diabetic a few yrs ago, i refused metformin. i decluttered 98 % of potatoes, rice, soy, wheat. and got my A1c glucose down from 6.9 to 5.4. no longer in diabetic range. found dr. berry on you tube. i still have a long way to go. but diabetes is no joke. i will keep decluttering areas in my life. its all beneficial, not just mental but physical as well. Have a blessed weekend ✌🏻🙏🏻🤗🐢🍀🌻🦄
I am so glad you make these videos. 💕 In the mornings I listen to you or Vera at Simple happy zen. My body has a lot if pain and problems and everything can feel overwhealming. But when I listen to you two I feel calm and inspired. Maybe I even have the energy to do someting for some minutes between rests during the day. These videos make a big difference. Even if I don't fix anything some days, I feel more light and happy after listening. So you really lighten my mood. ❤ Our home has become so much more minimalistic and easy to manage since I started watching you. We gave away car loads of stuff to charity, because it feels good and is a fast way to get rid of much at the same time. The things that are hanging over me most these days are a big bunch of sentimental letters and diaries. I have a hard time letting them go, even thougt I never read them. I started digitalize them but am not sure I ever want to read them again or spend weeks digitalizing... at least I do know I do not want to keep the originals because they take up space. Old photos are the same problem, but at least those I want to keep. Thank you for your nice videos. I didn't care much about the backgroud, more about your content and your genuine personality. Those ten minutes you talk about here can make a big difference. I often do five and it can looks so much better after that. I wish you a nice day! / Stina 🍀
Awesome ideas Sarah, another area I try to use this 10 minute declutter rule with is my car. It is amazing how much unnecessary stuff accumulates in the car. I love your 10-minute rule, so easy and no stress!
Although I won’t be settled back in a home for 1.5 yrs I still watch videos on decluttering etc. I have really enjoyed your clear style of presentation and look forward to implementing the tips and tricks you give.
Thanks Sarah for the great quick ideas for decluttering. I have been working in my kitchen and I'm getting rid of a glass pie baking dish and a big glass measuring cup that we don't use.❤
Great tips I declutter my medicine cabinet every New Year’s Day the reason why I chose this day is because it’s a new year and Once I get rid of the old expired medicine I don’t have to worry about it for the rest of the year
Great ideas, Sarah!!! I couldn’t stand all the stuff on our coffee table. Hubby likes to see what he has. It needs to be in view. I, on the other hand, like things put away. My solution-I gave him an unused (because I Decluttered the contents) magazine rack. Also a letter sized basket. All papers are confined to the basket. The magazine rack is hidden between the couch and end table. Both are full, but it’s no longer my issue. He goes through the basket monthly, when it’s time to zone clean the living room. Thanks again for reminding me that decluttering can be done in a short amount of time. Even a little bit can make a big difference
Love this Sarah. Your new project sounds fab to create a place for everything 👍 So good you add digital as it fills up 😂 Another digital idea... if you make one off transfers in your bank account, to remove those details no longer needed so you have less to choose from next time!
I like the background, Sarah! Thank you for your tips. I just got rid of a whole bunch of bookmarks on my computer that I realize are completely irrelevant at this point in my life! :D
today i tackled old papers, medical, taxes etc, i bought nice vinyl folders in bright colors on amazon & a fire proof/waterproof roloway bag. and all my important papers all fit and no longer have silverfish food. and i put by my bed so its grab n go in case of emergency.
Another use for shampoo, I believe this idea comes from FlyLady, is that you can use it to clean the shower while you're in there. So if you don't want to use the shampoo on your hair perhaps it could become a shower cleaner.
Big fan of the snake plant in the background! I recently cleaned out my bag for the first time in 2 years since working from home. Your plan of doing it once a month sounds better! I found an expired Target coupon for $10 🥺
Tons of text messages I need to delete: multi-factor authentication texts by the hundreds, but unfortunately that is the way of the future with all the scamming going on.
I appreciate your list of quick tasks, Sarah. I feel so overwhelmed by my mess and stuff, and these can shrink my anxiety about decluttering.
You can do it, Susan! It's all about taking this one step at a time!

Good for you, Amy! Sentimental items and old papers can be some of the most difficult!
@@AbundantlyMinimal Thank you, Sarah! 😊❤
It's so true that decluttering doesn't have to take all day and you can work it into your daily life. Thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Good job for doing some research and not just going down the medication route, which doesn't really address the cause of the problem.

Late to the party, but I do like this set up! It's bright, and plants make everything better! haha

@@AbundantlyMinimal you’re welcome it makes it easy as you don’t have to go back and declutter old medicine until the following year
Thanks for all your helpful tips.
Thanks for being here, Kerry!
To clean my bookmarks will take more than a week!! For an info addict like me, it is a major project, almost as difficult as sentimental items.
Great ideas, Sarah!!!

I think a pretty shower curtain would make a great backdrop for filming🤩
Love your videos regardless of background😁
Thank you so much, Linda!

Seasonal clothes!
Love clean my digital trash etc.....
Do you have an art and craft or hobby decluttering video?!
If we knew how to clean up our browser. What is a browser?
It is whatever you use to browse the internet. Many people have outdated bookmarks on their browser, but if you don't, you can skip that project!
hey honey, the picture needs a frame. without a frame, it looks like a college dorm room poster ^^

That is very true!
