Becca!! This is so great that you're taking the time to share this. I struggle with these processes and so you're making it super easy for me to get it!!
Hey Rhonda! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video💖! In Canva, I do not use a template. From the start page of Canva I choose the button on the top right that says “create a design”. Then jump to the plus sign symbol (at the bottom of the list of templates) that says custom size. My backing cards are a perfect square, so I choose 3000 by 3000 px. You can actually change the px to inches if that is how you prefer to work. I hope this helps! I am so sorry I should have gone into this in more detail!! If u still have questions, don’t feel bad, just ask! I am seriously so happy to help! I do have a section in a video about this. Let me go find which one and the time stamp! 💖💖💖
m.ruclips.net/video/4Nl-AJA2ZAc/видео.html this is the video where I show some more about using Canva. If you skip to 4:14 that is where I start talking about it! 💖 Hope this helps!!
New to jewelry making but as an artist for years, this was incredibly helpful even though it was 2 years ago. My only fear is the printing. I have an HP printer and oh my gosh! The amount of money spent on ink refills is CRACEEEE! I'd love to have a color laser jet. Thank you so much for a great video! Super helpful!
Great question! Here is a link to the paper I buy on Amazon. It’s an affiliate link. Accent Opaque White 80lb, 8.5" x 11" Cardstock Paper, 216gsm - 250 Sheets (1 Ream) - Premium Super Smooth Heavy Cardstock Printer Paper for Ink Heavy www.amazon.com/dp/B06W5XY42R/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_StSMzJFgLvdGR
Love all your jewelry videos! I have a similar HP printer and now I would like to know what is your best/affordable way to buy ink for your printer. Thank you!!
Thank you!! I use HP instant ink! You can sign up for an amount each month and it has really saved me money!! Printer ink is so expensive, you’d think it was made from gold 🤣🤣
@@beccabooer They are like gold! Cartridges are so tiny! Thank you so much for the info. I actually buy my ink from there but I totally forgot about their monthly service. I will check it out now!
Thank you so much! So helpful 🙌🏼 do you prefer to save designs from canva in jpg or png? When I print on Cardstock the color is dull so I’m trying to narrow down what the problem is. 😅
Thank you so much for sharing! I asked on your packaging tutorial if how you make your cards, so please disregard if you see this first. I just ordered the same cardstock that you shared the link too. By the way, the link to the tiny hole punches doesn't work (in case you are getting affiliate links, which always try to support, especially when someone is providing valuable, free information.
Becca!! Did you insert a chart before inserting the picture? Looks like you have a background instead of a plain white sheet.....I'm trying to word wrap but it won't let me move the picture, maybe because its the free version of word???
Hey Suzi! No, I didn't insert a chart before. I have my settings in word to include a grid in the background. It does not show up when I print, its just a guide. I click on my picture and then in the format portion click "text" wrap and then "behind picture". I think it should let you move the picture in the free version, but I am honestly not 100 positive.
Hi! Yes, I use 80lb cardstock from Amazon. I believe it’s linked in the description of this video. But you have to check with your printer’s paper weight specifically to make sure it can handle cardstock. Hope that helps! 💖💖💖
No I'm not quite sure. Still looks smaller than 1/8" to me. Amazon offers 1/16 and 1/8 hole punches. I'm sure either one would work for this application. @@barbra429
Canva is now my new BFF. It's so easy and the choices are amazing.

In Canva, which section are you looking in? I.e. posters ect.
Also, are you using a template?
Did you say you did a previous video showing more about how to make the cards?
Sorry, I'm full of so many questions! Lol

Do you create your own poetry or quotes that go on the cards? I think I will not do good in this area, does anyone have any suggestion?
What type of printing paper do you use for your jewelry display cards?

Does anyone know what size font she uses for the message?
Thank you so much! So helpful 🙌🏼 do you prefer to save designs from canva in jpg or png? When I print on Cardstock the color is dull so I’m trying to narrow down what the problem is. 😅
Png files will generally be higher quality than jpgs. Dull color can also just be due to the printer itself.
Fantastic tutorial and great tips. May i ask what you use to cut the card perfectly straight?
I use a small paper cutter I purchased from Michael’s!

What size and how thick is the paper
Hi There, the link to the card stock I use is in the description below. 💖💖💖
@@beccabooer thank you
Why you didn't show from beginning to end on how t start making it and then the rest
Your problem with the thicker card stock is probably because you don’t select paper type in the settings 😉
I dont understand where your video before was? I am missing something? You are starting in the middle of a tutorial and I dont know how you got there.
Did you ever figure it out?
That must be a 1/16" punch, not 1/8", no?
