A thump would be very complicated with a rotating bucket as it would require all new hydraulics. Only a mechanical thumb would work.

I've always found it amazing how beavers to take a once tranquil beautiful spot and turn it into what looks like a bomb exploded. Like there's been a major war fought there the only thing that's missing is the bodies of human beings and blood flowing in the river. But instead we have bodies of one's beautiful trees laying on the ground like lifeless bodies and mud flowing through the water. People just don't realize how extensive Beaver damage can be. You guys have done a great job on the cleanup and removing the dam. It will be interesting to see how long mother nature will take to heal from this one.

The majority of these trees were saw cut. They traveled down stream from a flood and and got bunched up in the bend of the creek. All the piles of small debre that you see across the green grass are deposits left when water was over creek banks. No self respecting beaver would ever make such a mess. They are way more efficient than this miniature mother nature .
