Zoro and King put on a spectacle! This was the battle of two amazing and loyal vice-captains who strive to be the best versions of themselves for their captains. One of the best animated episodes I've seen, and arguably the best of 2023 💯
The hilarious thing is that you don't know how crazy it's gonna get later. Sanji vs Queen was incredible. Zoro vs King is peak. Luffy's final stand against Kaido will be like the second coming of Jesus came down and animated that shit. Godlike.

In Japanese, all of King's techniques are pronounced the same as food. The last skill is called "large bowl of curry udon," so extra-large is correct.🍛 King is good looking, so Oda has made his skill name lame. It's Oda's playful way.
To all bitching about the scale of techniques now and how 'old OP' was better in that regard, keep in mind that Oda had set the ceiling pretty much in Marineford, where old, stabbed WB was using techniques that would literally bend whole battleground, cause tsunamis, etc. Unless you thought Luffy would be fighting those kind of attacks using his bare fists and sandals.

This episode really brings a lot of questions about King up. Like where are the other Lunarians? Is he the last surviving one? Were they wiped out in the Void Century? I feel like if there were more Lunarians out there, Oda would make something like that known and it’d be something prevalent way earlier in the story. But just my opinion. This is all dope.
This is actually already revealed. The lunarians lived om top of the redline but got killed by the celstials and world goverment. We were told he was te last survivor.
I'mma need y'all to stop disrespecting Queen. He was the most consistently entertaining member of the beast pirates. The dancing, the viruses, the cyborg stuff, and his connection to judge King was honestly never fun to watch until this episode
King is a way cooler villain than Queen for sure. However, for me, Sanji's Ifrit Jambe, especially the manga version, is a cooler power up and he had a better finisher than Zoro. Not taking nothing away from my boy Zoro though. This was bad ass. I wish the conquerors haki was a bit more dominant in this fight. I'm also kinda tired of Zoro fights ending with a still frame of Zoro and then a cut to the villain spewing blood. That might be why I like Sanji's fight just a TINY bit more. Amazing 2 episodes. Can't wait for Luffy vs Kaido. Ya'll are gonna shit your pants.
I know it has been a year but honestly I'm not sure why some Zoro haters say the anime is bias coz the fight scenes were not like this in the manga, it was short and was not as grand as portrayed in the anime. First of all,I've seen and read the manga, and I thought their convo and fight exchanges were very similar. Second, it would feel fast and short in the manga since you're just dealing with non- mobile drawings and few panels.That's the good thing about the anime, not all the time the author/creator could convey completely all his emotions and imaginations in a just a few panels and drawings because all we see are strokes and lines, especially when they're showcasing their power. The anime studio is there to enhance it, give it colors and emotions and bring it to life.I think Toei definitely successfully animated what was in the manga. If Toei made this episode grand for Zoro, then probably because Zoro is popular and has been giving them good paycheck. 😅
