0:05 "The customer had what looked like used junkyard parts in the trunk that were also broken." Some Tesla models have a half steering wheel/steering yoke so it looks like the customer wanted to change to that one but damaged some stuff in the process. A clock spring spiral-wound special rotary electrical conductor allows a car steering wheel to make a connection to the controls on the steering wheel and also the airbag. Since they damaged that, it caused multiple warning lights to appear.
0:18 Not the best place to secure a child seat. Hopefully, the customer will fix that ASAP. With the door ajar light staying on, one of the modules most likely stayed as it noticed a door was open, which caused the battery to drain over time.
0:36 I've heard and seen car fires happen because of this. Always be careful where you lay the hood prop as this could have ended much worse.
0:48 They are not sure if it was actually the customer who did this or not, either way, what a mess! The brake disc should not have any of this on it, and it should just be on the back sides of the brake pads.
1:06 The shop and technician were not told what "other shop" did this, as they said they should get it warrantied by that shop. The car now needs a new engine.
1:18 Spray foam, signs, duct tape and hopes and dreams. The car also had a ton of other issues that were not shown but those were the most brutal. The clip was filmed in Australia.
1:38 You can start a car in Park or Neutral, but not drive.
1:48 First time seeing a fuel filter installed on an evaporator hose. As mentioned the car needed a new clutch.
2:04 For some reason the customer had spark plugs on the rear bumper of their smart car.
2:09 A bottle of body fragrance was upside down making a hissing noise anytime the customer put weight on the centre console.
2:31 A common issue on certain GM models from what I've heard but not sure of the exact issue. There might be an issue with the steering column, either way pretty unsafe way to drive!
2:42 Always compare old parts to your new ones when installing them.
    2:57 No extra info.
    3:11 Outro. Thanks for watching!

    This just rolled in
Dodge Durango towed in with a flat tire. Took the vehicle over the to closest bay and filled the tire with air, then drove it into my bay.
Inspection reveled no foreign object in the tire. No leak past the bead, no leak at the valve stem.
Tire was holding air like a brand new one would.
I also noticed all this tires were low, but not evenly low. Some were below 20 psi, one was 24 psi.
I come the conclusion that someone let air out of the tire or the valve stem core froze open in the very cold weather.
    It froze open.
Customer said it happened today when he was putting air into it, it suddenly just started hissing and it went flat.

GM columns have been doing that since the mid 60s. There are 4 bolts that come loose and you have to take the whole upper end of the column to tighten them. The good news is that you do not lose steering control when that happens. It takes less than an hour to fix.

The bodywork reminds me of what my father taught me when working on anything, be it cars, computers, electronics, anything. "If the repair does not look showroom or factory fresh, you did a piss poor job." He started off as a mechanic, became a QC inspector for Toyota. When he retired from there and worked part time for a dealership, so many cars that were brand new off the truck failed his QC checks. "Don't accept anything less than perfection when you're spending money, because there is no reason it should leave the factory otherwise."

The steering wheel thing reminds me of my first car, a 1966 Ford XP Falcon. It was a 3 speed column shift. It was a diecast housing that held the stick in with a pin and they were prone to cracking and failing. Mine cracked about 6 months into ownership and being 18, broke and stupidly overconfident I tried fixing it with a hose clamp. It sort of worked but when changing down to second I had to reach through the steering wheel and hold the stick into the housing. Drove like that for 3 months but in Australia we have annual inspections so had to get it fixed. 😅

It melted both batteries (diesel, so two batteries). Sucked, because I was approaching an intersection with a red light, and I had a trailer weighing about 9,000 behind me, and the brake controller quit too. I had to lock up the emergency brake. Thank you. I really like the way you describe what is wrong and how it should be. I don't know much (Hardly anything) about cars and your information is useful when going to a new mechanic who might try to charge for work that is not necessary or if it is then it's useful to know and understand more what the mechanic is talking about.
