I would love Spain as a region! That being said, I want to disputed your statement that Oregon struggles on the water/sea aspect. And yes, I'm from Oregon so I'm biased. Anyway, we have a lot of really big rivers all over the state. Portland is even split by a big river, each side with distinct personalities and 12 bridges going between them. Plus it rains in the northern part of Oregon at least 50% of the time haha. I would love to see how Gamefreak would turn Oregon into a Pokémon region, but at the same time one of my favorite aspects of the games is travel and adventure so it would be cool to see interpretations of different places I've never been to!
With an equatorial climate for SM/USUM, it would be great to see an upper-latitude area represented, such as Scandinavia or Alaska/Canada. Sure there would be no desert (there'd be tundra though, of course), but there would be both mild and cold areas to explore, as well as island areas. Australia is also a great candidate for a region; the fauna of Australia are already very interesting and there are plenty of varied areas to cover for all sorts of different environments.
Dual is something the pokemon company have never deviated from for main games. The real question is, how will they deviate from the regular dual game format? We saw in Sun and Moon that they could make the games more different than just exclusive pokemon with the day and night gameplay.
Henry Scott who knows maybe this is the Pokémon Z game we have been waiting for that focuses on Zygarde balancing the legendary of chaos in Spain and the legendary of peace in Italy. He is the legendary of order after all
there's actually an area in the south east of england where it can be classified as a desert as it's really warm, deserted and has quite a lot of sand. it's basically a small desert like area
I like the video a lot. But just a little thing, in Spain we also have mild clima, the whole northern part of the country is green and full of forests and water. so you could have all the climas.
There's an argument to be made both ways (1 or 2 games), but I think the 2 games argument is stronger. Obviously we expect a popular, main series game to release at 60 dollars on the Switch, meaning it would be way more expensive to buy a pair of games than it would have been on the 3DS. 120 dollars vs 80 dollars is a big difference, and this would annoy some fans who usually like to buy both versions. But at the same time, having the option for hardcore fans to spend that extra money would almost certainly sell more copies than a single game. Also, if there was only one game, then the max they can make per person is 60 dollars. That's less than the max from 3DS games at 80 dollars. For this reason, if you want to argue for 1 game, then I think you have to heavily consider the possibility of DLC being added. I very much doubt they would go from 80 > 60 dollars from game copies sold and not increase that maximum via DLC. And the only way I really see 20+ dollars of DLC being added to a pokemon game is to unlock bonus endgame stuff, which I think would see a huge backlash from fans of the series. So I think this is not very likely to happen. Another reason why they would want to keep the 2 games thing going is that a single game would make certain mechanics impossible. If they wanted to do something like in Black and White, where certain areas appear differently based on the version, they would need 2 games. Likewise, if they wanted to create a mechanic like the day/night thing in Sun and Moon, they would need 2 games. There's just so much more creative possibility when it comes to a pair of games. It's also easier to tell a story based on a pair of "cover" legendaries if you have 2 games. For example, imagine if we had never gotten Ruby and Sapphire and instead only saw the story in Emerald. It's missing that element of one team being the antagonist based on the version. If they want to tell another story like this that heavily involves one legendary out of a pair, it's going to have to be in 2 games. The only way I see a single game being released is if it's A) a gen 1 remake, B) a sequel to an already existing pair of games, or C) a game that has a very different format to the main series pokemon games we are used to, and also includes DLC.
Fire starters base on most of the time bipedal zodiac or similar to. Zodiac that left is Snake= reptile, goat=caprine, rabbit=lagomorph, horse= equestrian, ox=bovine.which one do you want to see in the new game?
I would be very disappointed if they did a UK region without making use of Arthurian legend, as well as Celtic history/culture/legends. There would be so much to use! And as for a UK desert: google Dungeness
I was hoping they’d go back to the America’s and do more than just Manhattan. Like they can go to the New England area and use Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire/Vermont, and New York state (not the city) as a premise for the area. We got mountains in the form of the Appalachian Trail, snow is no concern since they can bring back seasons and there’s plenty of snow in New England during the winter anyways, sea areas can be Rhode Island. Culture as well wouldn’t be hard since you’ll have things like that’ll relate to modern America (sports, cell phones, the education system (a sort of plot I’m thinking of for this specific region)) and even have the villains be based around a cult of witches and demons with some tie in to the Native Americans since the both of those were very prevalent during the early days of the New England area. And when I meant by the education system they can have something similar to Harvard University be a place where everyone dreams of going and if not make Harvard the Pokémon League.
I don't remember where in Ultra sun But there were MPC clearly visiting from Italy...or was it Spanish...crap I know it was near the big resort I don't have the game anymore someone find them!
If Switch isn't a dual game format it kinda wouldn't be Pokémon. It being on Switch might make it easier to add in the entire National Dex (Mythics/Legendry's /Ultra's aside) between the two versions. If they hadn't already decided otherwise, it would have been awesome if Gen 8 had come put with one game on 3DS and the other on Switch, like Smash 4. Ah well... (If it does turn out to be South Kalos, maybe that'll mean the two games are U & V? Though I still plan to call, them On/Off until we find out otherwise...)
Alan Wilkinson I think its more like the pokemon youre not use too. As Pokemon orignally used to have one screen. Im sure it will be fine as long as they take their time and be innovative.
I think selling 2 versions increases overall game sales, to be honest, so I don't see a standalone main series title coming anytime soon. Also, assuming it's a continuation of Kalos, wouldn't it just be called X2 and Y2? Black2 and White2 added new areas to the region that were only accessible post-game. So it was kinda like 2 regions (not really). Plus being a sequel would make more sense if Gamefreak plans on expanding Kalos like they did with Unova.
Depends on whether South France ends up as "South Kalos" or gets named something else like Johto did, I suppose. I'm leaning more towards it being like Gold/Silver personally, but we'll see...

Even though Spain is looking extremely likely right now, I would love a game based off of New Zealand, that would be great.

I'm half Italian and English! I want UK or Italy for a region
Spain because the team visited there
Next Episode's Topic - Format:
Will Pokémon Switch be single or dual games?
TheOneIntegral I'd rather single, but knowing nintendo it may probably still be dual.
Dual, undoubtably dual.
Dual is something the pokemon company have never deviated from for main games. The real question is, how will they deviate from the regular dual game format? We saw in Sun and Moon that they could make the games more different than just exclusive pokemon with the day and night gameplay.
Kalos connects to Spain southwest and Italy is to the east
Blackfeather 22 it would be legendary for the Switch my friend
Zygarde?
Henry Scott who knows maybe this is the Pokémon Z game we have been waiting for that focuses on Zygarde balancing the legendary of chaos in Spain and the legendary of peace in Italy. He is the legendary of order after all
that would be great but however i don't think that would happen but who knows though

This was a great video, as usual, but there's one more thing that every current region has that you didn't mention: a forest/woods/jungle area.
Spain and Germany are the most likely options, with Italy and Greece coming in the second tier.
i hope to see a pokemon region based on greece

Rabbit
I think you've just guessed a future video...
I would like to see 🐍 or 🐐
I would love to see the Pokemon Company do a new region based on Brazil
It got to be Mexico🇲🇽
i would like to see a pokemon region based on missouri and also i would like to see a region based on alsaka for some odd reson
We need a British region! Sea Spirit's Den being based off Jersey and Stonehenge in Kalos doesn't count

Africa specifically Tanzania and the Serengeti like in The Lion King.
i dont think that there going to 2 games at a time

You seem to have misunderstood the question. No-one is talking about screens.

My picks would be
1.Spain and Italy
2.Australia and New Zealand
3. India and other south Asian countries
4. Canada!
5. Egypt
Gen 8 is Spain m8. :)
Pokemon Switch should be single game format.
i don't that there going to change the format i mean it always been a dubble format and there going to contenu going to be a dubble format
New Zealand is an independent country not part of Australia the two are just neighboring countries and New Zealand would be a good region for Pokemon
NIGERIA🇳🇬 or KENYA OR MADAGASCAR PLZ.
Ireland 🇮🇪 maybe
I think it’s gonna be India.
