- Jay Postones interviews Amos Williams: Bassist for TesseracT.
This is an interview I've wanted to schedule for a while and I'm stoked that we finally found the time to do it. As you can imagine, we discuss a load of things from behind the scenes, life on the road and in the studio, and TesseracT's history.

His voice is the bass tone I’ve been looking for all these years
Every time I closed my eyes I saw my astral body in space
love how on any video with mos talking in it at least 70% of the comments are about his voice
Cool to hear from Williams on this podcast. Especially the more tender personal stuff.
Fingers crossed they get his sister Serena on next.
Mr Smooth, himself.
One of my favorite moments ever is when I met you guys in a soundcheck back in the Altered State tour in Monterrey, Mexico. Amos was the last one in line for the meet and greet and asked him a bass related question about how to get a metallic or percussive sound out of the bass. He was so great explaining to me and taking his time. I will always treasure that moment.
I can 100% tell you i have gotten emotional at a Tesseract show, haven't cried but i wouldn't be surprised if it happened. It's just the combination of the music you create, the atmosphere of your shows, and Dan's vocals which are really tender at times, it tugs at heartstrings. and that's not something i'm embarrassed of at all.
i met jay at a concert in phoenix post show, these guys are the real deal. genuinely fucking amazing
"Chasing this echo of a song that's already turned a corner" - The "Amos Williams" Effect
Every musician's creative nightmare whilst -
1. Waiting in traffic n your car engine makes polyrhythmic hymns, an idea blooms n dies in seconds.
2. Opening your book to study for an exam, n ur mind picks up the sound of the ceiling fan rotating n dive into a progressive groove.
And the list goes on (-_-)
This
All the time.
it's the lyrics and your singer's voice along with the general emotional tone of the music that makes me cry while listening. almost everytime on the first two albums to be 100.
Thanks for putting effort into the quality of this posdcast. Ya greebs!
Great conversation!! Really enjoy when Amos speaks!! Very articulate!!
Great Interview! Yes the noise you make and the art you make is always of interest to us, and thank you for making it.
Amos is so mellow I love it
His personality matches his bass playing, mellow, subtle, simplistic, yet very artistic. Dude’s got this really good aura about him.
One of the coolest bass player out there 👌
Amos you gorgeous man you !
Love you guys, hopefully yall will be back in the Dallas/Fort Worth area again. I try to catch you guys every year you're in town. Thanks for the signed drum heads I've gotten from you, maybe one day I can add another to the collection.
Amos is a handsome lad
I don't know if Tourniquet ever makes your live set list, but if it did, I gotta think that there'd be a few sticky beer-soaked venue floors washed a little cleaner from the emotions that one creates.
Thank you for sharing and posting this for us. :)
I currently live in spain and it has lovely sites. but man i miss Birmingham city (im from walsall and went back to uk to study in brum). I miss the colourful people with their crazy fashion. So many cultures in one place. so much hussle n bussle. I love it.
Love you, bois. This was great!
"that sounds like you are talking about condoms..." XDDD
Y'all have fans in the Caribbean also! Come visit trinidad!
Enjoyed the conversation 👏 thanks for putting this together
Sick interview
This mans voice, fucking hell, does anyone know which Darkglass he runs it through?
I am still praying for that gapless album. 🙏
Amos please gargle with warm water and pinch of salt
Jay lives in Austin!? way cool! Im down the road in San Antonio. I was in Austin this morning actually! :D Fellow Texans are always like family.
Yeah I didn't know Jay was a fellow Texan, Im in Dallas but its still quite a drive to Austin.
which plugins you use to get that sexy voice amos, tell me your pedals
When it comes to side projects, I'm surprised only Dan has one in the spotlight. Do the other members have anything going on, or is it just writing and waiting for Tesseract to come around again?
James has a band called Cage Fight. Metallic hardcore, couple of great tunes out.
Jay is also in Heights: ruclips.net/video/ZYsWVXVsVg0/видео.html
