In this in depth how-to tutorial, Tim Fiorucci of Fiorucci Fabrications walks you through step by step on how to fabricate and install one of our Lowbrow Customs Hummer Style Ignition Switch Kits into a 2.5 Gallon Frisco Sportster Tank. We know it can be a bit tricky at times to hide a key switch when building a chopper. So we thought to ourselves instead of hiding it, wouldn't it be cool to just put it right there in front of your nose just like those old Harley-Davidson Hummer tank used be. It can be a real hassle modifying one of those old hummer tanks to achieve this look so we developed a kit that you can use in any style gas tank and can be installed in a few short hours of work. This is one of our more involved tech tips but if you have some welding skills, some time on your hands, and the willingness to learn from one of the best fabricators in Cleveland, then this video is right up your alley.

I really appreciate him explaining how to purge the gas tank, that was the only thing holding me back from doing my work on the tank but no longer the issue!

Crackin job . Welding is an art that’s needed when tackling a trick job like that. Way out of my range but loved the video. Music was laughably.

You guys should put a kit like this together with the new capacitive style harley fuel gauge sending unit 😊 it would be a simple easy kit eith everything needed to put a nice electronic fuel gauge in our older bikes without the wires coming up out the top and being seen running down the tank to the underside😊🤘

The tank looks awesome, but the music you had playing while you were welding was the shit it’s the same stuff I like when I’m working.

I hit Like. I want to hit LOVE. Excellent job. Very inspiring, considering you are doing it in a garage, the way many of us would do it at home. Really dig the cafe racer in the background!!!

what if you happen to ride in the rain , doesn't it fill up with water?

Nope, the tube for the wiring also allows water to drain. I'd be more worried about splashing gas into it and a small electrical arc when u turn the switch.........KaBoom!

Dumbest idea I've ever seen. I've rode choppers since 1972........Since then I've seen hundreds get stolen that had a keyed switch. What a waste of valuable time and $.
