You're becoming the go to for FF7R vids.
Do have any tips on handling the Tonberries? As they constantly kill instantly. Maybe warding materia? If ff7 hate them, I bet many new players cant handle them. So a little strat on them would be good.
Found someone else with a vid on him.
Protective Boots equipped to prevent Stop. For healer so can revive party.
been watching you for years for NMS content as a fellow content creator what are you using for your thumbnails text?
@@ThePresentation010 Yeah that was pretty much it. Also starshower (tifa) and cloud's sword thrust are good to constantly keep him under pressure and stagger.
Underground parking lot is a good place for ap on hard mode not bad
Chapter 16 for to add ok be good
Chapter 16 farm you do not have to pass through the door at all. Once you kill the past enemy just load up the chapter again it will automatically save when it loads up. I maxed out all my materia fast this way.
I just want 1 million gil so that when Madam M goes "it's obvious you all don't have that kind of money".
"erm, actually..."
xD
3:25 is it just me or Tifa actually got blown away? LOL
On the colosseum runs, cloud with first strike, atb stagger, and the magnify fire. My best time (just fight time) was 28sec. Just spam firaga. Even on final boss.
thanks for this!
A somewhat lazy way to farm AP if you're kinda busy. . . After beating the game, go to the simulator in chapter 17 and pick the "Three Person Team vs Team Ragbag" fight in Classic difficulty. In Classic mode, your characters will automatically fight the enemies and so long as they're strong enough, the enemies will be dead within about 5 minutes and you can simply hit triangle button to rechallenge, set the controller down and go back to whatever you were doing. I did this while making breakfast and doing the dishes. Granted, the AI controlled players will only use basic attacks, and they take around 5 minutes to win compared to the 1:30 it takes me to win. But, if you want to take a break to grab a beer, smoke, use the bathroom, or are busy cleaning the house, you can farm away and only have to hit a couple of buttons every few minutes.
The sewers are a great spot to train cause when you leave a few rooms and come back the monsters respawn
wondering if all are materia is going to carry over to part 2
If its anything like the original ff7 for the ps1, it will
@@bostonguy8576 and
@@emesde408 ...and when you play part 2 it will load the previous save and load up your progress. Just like in the original it will ask you to insert disk 2.
I think so
I don't think so because they said that people could play rebirth without playing remake and then they could go back and play remake if they wanted they also said people could start rebirth as their first FF game if they wanted
Woah. Thanks!
Very helpful for FFVII Remake Endgame.
Do we have to restart the chapter every time for chapter 16? Doesn't seem as fast if we have to keep running through that beginning portion of chapter 16
Base from.what i observe twin stinger with elemental materia paired with enemies weaknes element cause faster enemey pressure and stagger build up than hard edge
"bUt WhAt iS gIL eVeN GoOd fOr At EnDgAme!!!??"
ffs people, we all know the only thing to grind is AP for materia & uploader knows this too, he was just being thorough in his explanations. XD
After building up my Materia to max, I have about half a million gil.
Having a lot a of gil will benefit for after you leave Midgar, actually.
If you can take it with you to Ff7 Part 2. I don't get the Gil materia, too 😂
I recommend the Abandoned Factory in Sec 7 on hard mode run between 3 mob spawn areas and there is a rest area to recover hp.
Ok, but why though? You’ll be maxed out level in like an hour, no matter where you play in the post-game.
And why would you need gil in the post game? You can’t even use items in hard mode. I don’t think I’ve needed to spend a single Gil since I first finished the game.
@@Noplayster13 it is not about the gil obviously, it was just a suggestion to an ideal area quickly gain xp and ap. The Abandoned Factory is early game and there is a rest spot. Use it to level out some materia then move on to ch4.
GenusAlpha ah, I forgot about AP. Yeah, that’s reasonable enough.
i use aerith on the 2 person vs shinra thugs arena. magnify firaga and cloud triple slash. my best time is 17 second for all 5 levels but 20 is pretty common. the huntsman is in round 4 and 5 and worth 30 ap by himself. only 2 people which is annoying but still faster getting AP in my trials. Aerith with magic up one shots the huntsman even with his shield.
To be honest you can “farm” anywhere in this game. After beating normal I got my remaining 15 levels in sector 7 in chapter 3on hard mode. It’s not hard to max level this game at all. It’s harder to max out certain materia but once you have all that you can get, extra max lvl materia is only good for good for gil, and gil is practically good for nothing in a second run besides battle holograms.
It's sooo easy to level up anywhere. You sir are correct!!
In Colloseum, I got that fight to 1 min. Use maxed first strike, Blizara or Bilazaga + Magnify, atb boost to refill atb then a second blizara. Inbetween spells I send a Firara(?) to the ghost and the helicopter dude.
Blizaga twice on the the Grashstrikes is usually an instakill, ending the fight in seconds
Ant D question, why isn’t it giving me as much rewards as him? I only get like 255 XP and 11 AP per round
@@TJCdoesArt Beat the game first.
Hey I’m new I would just like to say your content is wonderful and have a nice day
Subscribe to his channel I did
Has anyone played the re-mastered game, then added and played the Yuffie DLC, does it wipe the slate clean or do you have the materia from the first game, I wonder if they will reset the team in part two when it comes out, or you just continue.
I dont know about selling items, only because I'm hoping those items will carry over in the next installment. This is me also being optimistic about my character rolling over to the next installment as well....
Didnt happen with 13 so I'm doubtful
If the accessory for defeating pride and joy wasn't so broken, I would be hoping for carry over. But there is no chance they let us bring an accessory that lets us limit at the start of every fight.
I disagree with the mentality that FF13 did it one way, so FF7 will do the same considering remake is only addressing a single game, not 3 separate games made with limited consideration for subsequent sections.
Carry over? You mean disc 2? The story continue play the original if you wondering what happen next.
I am unsure about the Chapter 4 method. When I did that during story, it only allowed me to activate these robots in the training facility once (or was I doing something obviously wrong?).
you can activate them as many times as you want, not sure what was happening in your game.. maybe a bug?
I'll try this method for gil. I wany my items to be x99 though it would be hard for other items like elixir etc.
Question. Can you chain multiple materas like you can in the origional. Let's say I have magnify materia linked to fire materia, the on the same character I have MP absorb materia linked to fire materia. Do I still regenerate MP for casting fire on all enemies?
So should we just play trough the first time without worrying about getting everything because on the second you get better rates?
There’s even faster way to grind in chapter 17 without losing any gil on VR combat choose Mayor is the best one (the very first one) and have Aerith with Thundaga + Magnify, 2 Magic Up and First Strike and and Equip the cloak that give ATB from that start once the batthe start use Thundaga on the Left Hand of the cutter the closest to you it should stun both of them and then use another Thundaga and it should kill them both if they somehow don’t die switch to Cloud and do the rest
And u r saving the Gil for?
Sycho Cho saving gil is just bonus the point is that it’s a lot faster than chapter 16 method one due to no loading screen and each fight you get 1440XP & 30AP in 5 secs if things go according to plan
How do u get gil in the colosseum
My brain melted watching this video..
how did you start off each battle with full limit gauge?
The item Götterdämmerung.
can i go back to the training dummie on normal run through? im low on gear and nowhere to farm...
Do you need to finish the chapter for the exp to count?
Nope.
Cool
For those complaining about Gil, you'll need it when you do the hard mode combat sims because that shit requires several attempts. Granted, you don't need much gil and you gain more and more from winning, but it's good to have.
@CasperMelchiorBalthasar yeah. I have over 100k. I don't need gil myself, but for those who need it, the method is there.
What do you need Gil for actually? On hard you can't use items anyway...
For disc 2 and 3
@@Drallion_Tyanu what disc?
@@vampiszon6620 The original game was divided into 3 discs. The remake contains only 1/4 of the first disc of the original game. The comment above means that we may be given the opportunity to transfer earned gills from the first episode of the remake to future episodes (it would be cool if the developers do this)
@@Kuzminshow ok got it. The reason I didn't catch at first is because I don't buy disks since years xD Only PSN:) and yes, I played original in 1997:)
Aaron9 what? I told that story in remake is 25% of story which was on first disc of the ORIGINAL game.
Ok, but why though? You’ll be maxed out level in like an hour, no matter where you play in the post-game.
And why would you need gil in the post game? You can’t even use items in hard mode. I don’t think I’ve needed to spend a single Gil since I first finished the game.
If you go back to chapter 17 to play the virtual fights you need gill to play
J Sun That’s true. I did spend gil there.
Why am I not getting as much rewards from the coliseum
Beat the game first.
If they do allow things to transfer to part II, I would think they'll do an exchange rate system. Such as 2 levels for every 5, 10K Gil for every 100K, and so on. However, this is pure speculation on my part. They could also do both extremes of transferring nothing or transferring everything (but that'll probably ruin the challenge of part II).
Bro you can't go into the next game with 9999 HP, half a million gil, 99 Mega Potion/Ethers with a bunch of maxed out materia. How do you even play at this point?
@@zZiL341yRj736 I mean you can do that in literally 90% of FF games anyways so why does it matter?
I personally go to the final chapter and just beat it for money because if you have gil up then you get 20k or more gil for beating it
Literally zero fucking point in doing that. Even more so when money is practically useless in a hard mode run. Overall, this is a dumb method
I just farmed roughly half a million gil in 5hours for fun. Sure gils become irrelevant late game but I found a broken method (glitchless) so why not exploit it for the sake of it 👌
Infinite 3000gil hand massages bro. It's all about them hand massages.
How do I reload the chapter 16 enemies? Start the chapter over?
Yes. Be sure to go past the doors to save your progression though.
Where to get the AP Materia, the XP Materia, the Gil Materia?
ap up materia is earned after you walk 5000 steps with pedometer materia. its purple. XP up is after completing the shinra battle simulator in 16 i think. Gil, I can recall where that was.
Gil and xp are both in the battle simulator in chapter 16
Is there a need to farm gil in hard mode since u cant use item there is little use of gold
The only time I found gil useful was for buying some of the shop weapons and repeating some of the harder challenges that cost gil to take part in. But people are searching for that so I thought of adding gil too.
So that I can farm ap much quicker in the shinra combat simulator lol
Edit: I think the beginning of chapter 16 is probably the best way to farm for everything overall
Hand massages bro, hand massages. After all that work you deserves some 3000Gil hand massages
zZiL341yRj736 a lot of hand massages 😂
Gil isnt even that useful after beating the game on normal
And by not that useful you mean completely worthless.
Maybe it'll be useful in Part 2 . ..
Enko yes but I wouldn’t expect pt 2 for atleast 1-2 years if it comes out fast as possible and after 100% the game and getting the platinum trophy, just cant play for hours on end like before hitting 100%
Totally agree unless u can bring over gil to part 2 .
Hand massage bruh, hand massages.
eh whats the point of leveling more if you already finished the game,... if you want to farm and level fast just get the exp materia and use magnify with ur fav mag attack and do easy ragbag sim. you can finish 5 rounds in 1:40 sec.
What's the gil for endgame?
That's a great question
My guess would be potential carry-over to the next one.
Bro.."what is gil for endgame?" When the open world comes or disc2 you will see that you need gil. And you didnt beat the game its just a to be continue on disc 2
@@ranmaruthompson930 people are concerned that weapons/items/materia/Gil/levels won't transfer over from part 1 to part 2. That's why he's asking. At least, I think that's why he's asking
The gil is for buying costa del sol in the future 😂
Can you backtrack to chapter 4 if you missed the training area?
yes, you come by it at the end of the chapter as well
@@mcmarkmarkson7115 I’m in chapter 14 at level 50. I grinded the colosseum in chapter 9
Grinding and farming is pretty much a moot point in this game. Materia levels up ridiculously fast during hard mode, and with ap up, the super expensive materia will be ready by the time you reach chapters where you'll need them maxed out. Slot an exp materia and you'll hit the level cap by chapter 3, and gil ceases to be useful pretty quick. I bought up all of Chadley's materia and still had a huge surplus of gil with nothing to use it on.
Have fun with the top secrets arena than, you need a good build for that fight which means much grinding
@@XxSilentCell lol what's left to grind? I'm on chapter 13 of hard mode right now, all my characters are max level, almost all of my materia is mastered, enough so have three of everything I need (outside of a couple which will be done by the time i finish the final chapter in hard mode,) and all I need are the manuscripts, which again come by finishing hard mode. So seriously, what's left to grind? Is there a hidden level cap I don't know about? Some ultra materia that's hidden behind mastering every materia in the game? There's literally nothing left for me to grind. You do hard mode with AP materia and exp materia, swap out materia every time you master something, and there is literally no need to grind.
@@devildogwhite Yeah I got all the manuscripts and the platinum trophy without farming anything. But for some speedrun challenges I might have to farm some AP on some materias I didn't max out.
Other than 10k gil for barret's weapon inside the shinra building, why farm for gil when hard mode can't use items?
Fastest way to lvl up. But you need to finish game first. 🤨
Im watching you spam casting firaga with magnify on a hard run. 😱😱😱😱😱😱whowhatwherewhenwhy aren’t you running out of mp in a minute ??????
If you're talking about the Colosseum part where he kept casting firaga on the Shinra enemies. I'm also new to this game right now and i just got to the Colosseum part of the game. A the reason why his MP is not going down is because each round of battle/phase, you'll gain back 50% of HP and MP. So if you don't use more than 50% of your MP, you'll gain back a full MP for the next fight.
There are 4/4 Skills that can be learned by cloud via the Enemy Skill Materia just by fighting the creatures that posses the skill when they use the skill on you while equipped. About half is MP and HP related. For example The something Aura skill buff when used allow any enemy hit in range to give you back HP. But I do believe though not completely 💯 that their is a Siphon skill or another that drains some MP from the enemy. However, the commenter McKnight above is also completely correct as it relates to the coliseum.
Selling useless items for useless gil is worse than keeping the useless items. Your stats won't carry over to FF7 Reunion as it is a new game. Other FF games have had something to buy that required a large amount of gil and I'm guessing that feature was used on Barret's EKG Cannon which was only 10,000 gil. At least if you replay the game in normal mode you get to use items so items have more usage value than gil does. You only need about 80,000 gil to buy everything the game has to offer.
How to farm ap for the revival materia 😂
So annoying
Why do you need gil?
I dont think gil is very important in this game
Arvin getting the equipments i guess. And potions
@@rsvng
Not that much
Equipments, items and materias are not that expensive
I have every weapon, 4 armor and 4 accessories for each character and still have lot of money before final boss
People are planning for the next chapters with the exception they can transfer data from this game.
If so having as big of a head start at the beginning of it would be nice.
nervnerd then just equip gil up and run through a chapter. Simple
Not arguing that, just saying why some are farming gil once they get every weapon, armor, accessories, 99 revive earrings, and a set of mastered materias.
Personally I have more than enough money from playing the normal mode and hard mode myself and I've leveled some vanity materia like a set of hp up and mp up for everyone in my party, so 4 sets mastered.
I have to think 🤔 of the many people on the team that built the game knows full well that their isn’t much to spend Gil on at the endgame. Besides that one quest option to bribe for 10K Gil for assistance which gives Barret EKG Gun their isn’t much to splurge on for Gil. Everyone at endgame knows this. Thus I would like to believe the team that made the game knows this and with some future DLC or add on part 2 to game will add some content where stuff actually cost a lot of Gil.
Tell me pls why should i farm Gil in this game? 😅
MegaDanjuro weapons cost quite a bit for example there is a weapon for barret which costs 10k
for next episodes
@@farmerchris4665 There is literally 3 thousand gil in a chest down the hall from that weapon. There is no reason to farm gil in this game outside very narrow circumstances of wanting immediate equipment. There is nothing to really save for.
Nah, i’ve got 600k gil already and got all weapons, and i have ton of materias to sell, so yeah, the only Final Fantasy game where gil is totally unnecessary :D
First!
Edit: also thx for the vid :D
Potato
Almost none of these are useful prebeating the game it's a final fantasy I want to be max lvl fully geared before I set foot in the third chapter from the end of it.
♡♡♡♡♡
I don't know why I'm here I haven't been able to play FF7 Remake
Bro does everyone talk like this or are they just copying joraptor?
FF7R is ticking weird. I've never seen a RPG that had you grind after you beat the game. I mean what's the fucking point if you finished the game already.
That’s because of part 2 bro I believe you will keep all of your exp points
@@Jesudi2527 yeah bro that's what I'm thinking grind for the part 2
Why would I want to farm after I bear the game I want to that during the game ...its pointless as an Endgame function..its asking how do you win the Superbowl right after you won it😂😂😂
Um......there are new enemies and bosses in the Training Simulator and Colosseum, hard mode, and new weapon skill books to get.
@@zZiL341yRj736 the story and in-game activities have always been more interesting to me..i never need multiplayer or mini games for a game or stuff like that give me a full game
It makes Hard Mode and certain VR battles much easier if you take some time to max out some of the more useful Materia. Getting both Elemental materia orbs maxed out, for instance is a huge help during later levels. I am maxing out several in order to fight Pride and Joy.
@@doublebrewski1855 I actually got Bahamut in chapter 14 they act like you have to beat the game in order to do it...im not really interested in hard mode seems like alot of hair pulling and I'm a bald guy😂😂😂
@@jasonbarkley4586 I also got Bahamut during my first playthrough on normal mode in chapter 14. However, with a little bit of patience I built up my Materia and Hard Mode was actually easier than Normal Mode. With maxed out Materia and conservative tactics with MP, Hard Mode is not that bad at all.
This game shits on my dreams. ruining my childhood with shitty episodic rip off fashion.
This is completely unnecessary. After you beat the game gil is completely useless on hard mode. You get double XP, gil and AP. There is no point in buying items and materia of most kind are all over the place. You will be level 50 by chapter three on hard mode. However, grimoires are what levels the weapons beyond level 50. I love this game because there is zero grinding require. Mastering the combat system and choosing the right materia for your playstyle is what matters.
to max out some of the materia, AP grinding is very very helpful. Even in Hard. Uploader was just saying the Gil and EXP gained as a 'BTW FYI', pretty sure as someone who has conquered the game they know it's not useful.
You just gain Gil regardless as a byproduct of playing and fighting the hard enemy. It’s a thing that drops regardless and just adds up over time on every fight whether their is anything useful or not to spend on in game.... currently. It’s possible in some future part 2 of the game or DLC patch the game makers could add some things that cost a lot of Gil. But currently no one knows if that will happen. But, I highly doubt that the game team creators are totally oblivious to the fact that in endgame that their isn’t anything useful to spend money on... currently.
