I love your channel, my boyfriend is from Newark and we appreciate you showing the world some of our favorite spots. But just a tip, make sure you ask people if they want to be recorded, or simply blur them out when editing. There is a child in the background and as a director of the YMCA in Montclair, some people opt to NOT have their children recorded or photographed. So if you're not doing it already, please tell people that you are filming and/or ask them if they want to be filmed. Much respect to you my brother, keep up the exposure of Newark! Word..is..born!❤
Tops never disappoints. Our go to spot for great breakfast or dinner. On Fri. & weekends get a reservation to avoid waiting because it gets packed. Great coffee & bar drinks, & desserts (treat myself to a red velvet cheesecake at times), and DJ’s playing fun music (sometimes Afrobeats too 😆).
i watched there video on YT about there diner it shows they are not playing games they have sum staples ,. sum kind of crazy french fries dish. ,. there looking like a good dinner foods, .
1. Is "East Newark" really a thing? Or is it just a cute way of saying "Harrison"? 2. I wouldn't have recognized Tops Diner. Haven't been there since pre-covid. Looks like its all re-built. 3. Tops Diner is often listed among the best in the state, but I think that might just be because they have better P.R. people than other diners. 4. My criteria for a "real" New Jersey diner (and they're getting harder and harder to find): a. Open 24 hours. b. Must have a counter. c. You can get any meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner, any time of day. d. Surly waitresses who call you "Hun". And extra points for: e. Greek owners. f. Outstanding cheesecake baked on premises. Know any that still ring all the bells?

Brother last time I had a seafood type bisque. Out here near Frisco, I was not happy. And I have worked at sum fine restaurants. And it was a top notch place, they just let it go too long. Way over power of fish.

We were there from Texas they treated us just like family everybody got along. The staff is great like one of the best diners ever been into.
