Tried something similar on different PLC. Although it worked, due to the slow speed of the VPN, using our own OpenVPN server seems to be significantly faster. Maybe with more VPN servers in America, I might recommend for US clients, but not presently

We want to send measurement value ( i.e. =/-0.020 MICRON ) to siemens controller but doesn't able to find proper communication procedure. for Fanuc we can do it through Rs232 to Honda connector and sending m99 file string but with siemens we are not able to find solution.

Good question. I am also interested in this question. Since for the 3rd day I can’t reach PLC with "Accessible devices" toll in TIA. Dear Teltonika support team maybe you know how we can handle this issue?
When setting up a router's IP address, you use a private IP address or a server's IP address. Another issue I encounter is that when I connect to OpenVPN, my PC goes to the blue screen of death :(
When configuring the RMS VPN hub, you select the PLC's IP address, which is later also being set on the PLC itself. Regarding the BSOD, you should refer to the OpenVPN forum.
Make sure that Teltonika Networks devices has internet connecivity and is online in RMS. No further configuration on the router is needed if you are using RMS VPN.
I have similar issue and I seriously need help solving them… in my own case we have a private LTE which is to be used in this connection.. The Router model we got was RUT 200 because it’s one of few devices that supports our private LTE type (B40).. Security policies makes it difficult for us to connect the directly with the public IP, the configuration process so the PLC and our virtual server communicate is the issue..
Could you please specify if you are still experiencing any issues? In case you have any questions or still face any issues with Teltonika Networks' equipment, please get in touch with our engineer team at Crowd Support Forum. (community.teltonika-networks.com/) They would be more than happy to help!
3:26 Is there any specific configuration I need to do so that I can see my PLC on the scan device list? Mine is saying "No IP's available on selected device"
To begin with, it is important to ensure that the PLC is properly configured. You can then check if the router is able to communicate with the PLC by using the ping command to send a test message to the PLC's IP address from the router. If the PLC IP address still does not appear on the list, please get in touch with our engineer team at Crowd Support Forum. (community.teltonika-networks.com/) They would be more than happy to help!

So the remote router must have some sort of public IP to establish the VPN tunnel. Can you explain ? I assume the remote router is dialling up to the hub ?
A public IP is only required if you want to access the device directly through a custom VPN tunnel. With Teltonika VPN, a public IP is not necessary; only internet connectivity is needed.

RUT240 and RUT241 devices share many similarities, with the primary distinction lying in their hardware components. The software remains consistent across both devices. Is RMS a substitute for OPC UA or Modbus TCP? I have a TRB245 router and an Siemens S7 1200 PLC. I want to integrate the two. I configured the s7 1200 as an OPC UA server but I'm having trouble accessing the PLC data when I try to configure the TRB245 as an OPC UA client. Kindly assist.
well do i need arouter with my pc and another router bside my also to make avpn tunel right, so i need to buy two rut240 routers? also i want to ask you about somthing else i have a plc s7-1500 here in my location and i do have et-200 in another site is this methode could be good one ?
Hello, Regarding the RMS VPN, you can create a VPN tunnel with just one device, on the RMS you will create a VPN server, and the VPN client can be your computer. And you can use just one router to reach either of your PLC remotely from your computer. IF both of your PLCs are in different locations then you will need two routers.
The RUT240 is a versatile router that supports a range of industrial protocols, including Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU, which are commonly used in SCADA systems. It also supports various VPNs, making it suitable for secure remote access and control.
I'm trying to use this service for SCADA which is located away from my plc. My concern is do i have to connect to teltonika vpn service everytime my pc is turned off/on or it will be connected automatically

To enable remote access to your devices, a public IP address is indeed necessary on your SIM card. However, if obtaining a public IP isn't feasible, leveraging RMS VPN offers a convenient alternative for remote access.
Any Teltonika Networks router is a perfect fit for this task. With RMS, you get the convenience of accessing your devices from anywhere around the globe, as long as they're connected to the internet and active on RMS.
Hi, it doesnt work for me, i followed all the steps, everything correct, but my computer doesnt ping PLC, I am in Ecuador, maybe there is no coverage for this country? or what could be happening.
Check if Teltonika device is reachable from your PC. If you can reach Teltonika, you should be able to reach PLC in local network as well. In some cases Masquerading has to be enabled for LAN interface as well in NETWORK -> Firewall -> General Settings.
