Thank you for the tip. I set up a 3 piece piezo setup. I placed on both forward and aft as you stated. The third disc,I placed it just below of the bridge plate. She sounds balanced absolutely ! I can't thank you enough Sir !
Hiya, I found that for my Tenor guitar, a Schaller Oyster works great. Very well constructed and substantial build with an excellent cable that is fitted properly. Some of the cheaper ones have substandard soldering and fittings. Mine was £25.00 in 2019. Thanks and take care. David.
Sounds good! ..... I never really like the sound of those built in piezo pickups under the bridge - always sounds tinny. I recently saw vids of these stick-on pickups and the spot you mentioned here seems to be a good one according to those vids. Sounds a lot better than the under the bridge ones . Anyway, may I ask what your guitar here is tuned to? Is this standard tuning or some other (like an open tuning or something else)?
Not sure what pickup it is as it's been kicking around for a while. I hate under saddle pick ups. They have that awful fizzy, unnatural, sound which can be noticed in some performances.
I'm in process of installing a LR Baggs Lyric Classical (actually a mic) to replace a piezo. They say place in front of saddle. In this video you refer to "in front of the bridge" as between the sound hole and bridge. Do you or anyone here know if that is always the case? Is "in front of the bridge" always between the sound hole and bridge? Thanks. Nice playing too.
I would always assume that 'in front of the bridge" means between the bridge and sound hole. Do they give any drawings with it, to give a more precise position,as to how far in front of the bridge is best. maybe there are fitting demos on youtube.
I don't remember the brand. it was bought from a music shop some years ago and used on other instruments. It is of heavy brass about the size of a bottle cap. It is my experience that the cheap piezos ,that look like a thin metal disc, have an awful thin ,toppy sound, so maybe better to pay a little more for something more substantial, but the big name brands are very over priced for what is a very cheap and simple piece of kit.
I have only ever used one, but some guitar brands have two as you suggest but on the sound board forward of the bridge on the larger part of the sound board. For DIY installations ,I would always suggest hooking them up and experimenting with placement on the outside of the guitar first to find best tone and volume.Maybe with pieces of double sided tape as a temporary fix.
Sounds excellent…thanks for the tips on installation.

@@kennethskaggs2832 you are welcome. Happy that you have achieved a good result.
I have a Old Kawi Classical on the table that going to get the same.
trying possitions on the outside of the guitar is a great tip :)

Installed mine right under the bridge plate and it's giving me all sorts of problems... Thanks for the video. Very nice playing!
I'm guessing you maybe getting too much bass,.Also not getting the true sound of the soundboard. Good luck.
TAV pickups advised me to watch this video. It's really nice.
Piezo Pickups actually sound much better on Nylon string Guitars.
kremona kna is the pickup easiest to install and to give best sound.
they got several models (ng1 ng2 sg1) for acoustic or classical guitars.

Just standard tuning. Thanks for your comment.
oh I see ... thanks!
Nice
Hello, will it be a Schaller Oyster passive pickup? Or maybe the K&K pure?. I guess that it is not an undersaddle piezo pickup.

What brand of pickup did you install?

If we have two transducers, could one be the best place above the bridge and the other below the bridge?
