Man, I remember my first time hearing Megadeth. I was 8 years old and sitting in the backseat of my mom's beat up Toyota. I remember watching her insert the Countdown To Extinction cd. I remember thinking the cover looked scary. But I remember that first song and my ears were in heaven. If you're still here, thanks for going on the nostalgia trip with me
I was 12 and the first song I've heard from them was Symphony of Destruction. I was more into Guns n Roses kinda vibe at the time and I found the song pretty ok but then I googled "best megadeth songs" and the first one it was suggested was Tornado of Souls. The solo was simply mind-blowing for me and I instantly fell in love with Megadeth. I'm 21 now and Megadeth still my favorite band.
Mine were 99 ways to die and kill the king at 15 and i thought it was weird but somehow catchy. As i kept listening more songs it eventually become my favourite band and still is
There's a flashy Kemper in most of the videos. It's on the expensive side, but you can even do full concerts with them. If I'm not mistaken, Trivium use them live and their sound is huge.
Peace Sells was my introduction to Megadeth ever since I first played the song in Rock Band 2 (still one of my favourite songs to jam on), but I think my favourites are a three-way tie between Peace Sells, Rust In Peace and Countdown to Extinction because you can’t go wrong with those classic albums
@@leerobbo92 it was honestly a toss-up for me between those two songs. I just really enjoy the album as a whole, definitely one of their most underrated
For those who think that the pre-solo harmony to Washington is Next is too insane of a stretch… …just tap it. Seriously. It’s not a bad tapping lick in terms of stretching.

My first impression is that Trust specifically and Cryptic Writings in general was their last truly iconic riff-based record. Prince of Darkness is fine, but everything after 2001 just devolved into random shred riffing - everything before that was ground breaking.

That transition from holy wars to symphony was fucking clean 🔥
That sneaky 4th horsemen lick though
