This video left out tons and tons of information especially compared to the Judas Priest evolution video. Here is a lot more info that you should have included: -Kerry King wasn't really ever in Megadeth, he played a few shows when the band was first forming but decided not to join the band because he liked being in Slayer better. He also really disliked Dave and couldn't see them working together. -Chris Poland and Dave were constantly butting heads which led to him not playing on The Killing is My Business Tour, a guitarist named Mike Albert played on that tour but Poland came back right after and recorded the next album and did the Peace Sells tour. Albert played way more shows than Kerry King, so neither of them should have been included in this video. -Chuck Behler was Gar's tech, and Nick Menza was Chuck's tech. There are videos on youtube from 1988 of Nick Menza on stage working on Chuck's drums. -Mustaine hired some other guy to replace Chris Poland but the only reason he hired him was because he was a drug dealer, when Mustaine realized he wasn't a good guitar player he decided to hire the guys teacher, who was Jeff Young, because he needed to hire someone quick for an upcoming tour. Mustaine never really liked Jeff Young and fired him after only a year. Mustaine said it was because Young was trying to hook up with his fiance but Young vehemently denies that and says Mustaine is a compulsive liar. -Dimebag refused to join the band unless his brother Vinnie Paul was hired to join as well, but Mustaine had already hired Menza so he didn't hire Dime. Eventually Marty was hired to replace Jeff Young (I think we can all agree that turned out pretty well). -Nick Menza was replaced with Jimmy Degrasso at first as a temporary replacement because Menza told Mustaine he had a tumor on his knee. Mustaine ended up liking working with Degrasso better and didn't invite Nick back into the band (Dave said Nick lied about having cancer, Nick said Mustaine just didn't want him back in the band. He said-she said situation). -Dave also didn't care for Al Pitrelli and when he re-formed the band after his injury didn't even think about hiring back Pitrelli or Degrasso, he wanted to hire Nick and Marty. He actually did hire Nick but after working with him for a few days fired him right before the first tour, and he could never come to terms with Marty. The reason Shawn Drover was hired was because Nick needed a drum tech so they called Glen Drover's brother Shawn to be his tech and Nick got pissed and cussed at him on the phone, so Dave fired Nick and with his back up against the wall decided to hire Shawn (similar to Jeff Young situation, right place at right time). However unlike Jeff, Dave actually got along with Shawn (probably because of his passive personality), so Shawn stayed in the band for a long time. -The System Has Failed was intended to be a solo album but he still owed the record company another Megadeth release. He recorded the album entirely with studio musicians he hired just for that record, Macdonough and Drover didn't play on the record. Oddly enough one of the hired guns for that record was Chris Poland. When he made the record he decided to bring Megadeth back and hired Macdonough and the Drovers after the record was released. -After Broderick and Drover left Mustaine once again got very close to hiring Marty and Nick back into the band. After a highly publicized audition it looked like Nick was back in the band, but then he got real pissed off with the contract offer and publicly stated Mustaine offered him a raw deal and he wasn't going to rejoiin. Its also generally understood that Marty wanted more $ and control and they couldn't come to terms either. Mustaine then decided to try and get Chris Adler and another guitarist. -Chris Adler never officially joined the band, he helped Dave with Dystopia and was a session musician on the record. Dave convinced him to tour with them after the record was released (hence why they toured with Lamb of God around that time, so Chris could do both) and Dave made an offer to join the band full time but Chris turned it down. He always maintained the fact that he was LOG's drummer and just a temporary fill in for Megadeth, though Dave used him in all the promotional materials around that time. Chris actually suggested Dirk as his replacement and after a trial period of a few shows Dave made the offer for Dirk to be Megadeth's real new drummer.
Chuck was fired for fucking around with Dave's girl and Jeff left because he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Nick was the drummer in Warrior and I've never heard of him being Chuck's tech. Marty was hired because Jeff Loomis recommended him. Dave wanted Jeff but he was still just a teenager. That's how Broderick got the job as well.
@@lupita132 Nick was announced to be the drummer for the System Has Failed Tour (he did not play on the record, he was hired after that), but when they started rehearsals there was conflict between Nick and everyone else. He never played any shows after "re-joining" just did some rehearsals.
@@Powermad-bu4em And Jeff was fired for "fucking around with Dave's girl," not Chuck. Dave says this in Megadeth's behind the music and in his autobiography. Although Jeff Young maintains he never did anything like that and Dave was just a drugged out asshole. You are correct about Loomis being too young Dave said that in his autobiography, and he was surprised Marty wanted to play in Megadeth because of his appearance (he had dyed orange hair, which Dave found odd for someone that wanted to play in a band like Megadeth). Dave actually made Marty dye his hair back to being fully black as a condition of joining the band. When Marty was interviewed about this decades later he gave a really weird answer about being poor which is why he had orange hair, not because he thought it looked good (makes no sense, but that's what he said lol). Rust in Peace is their best album and line up...... by far.
Was watching this when Megadeth published a RUclips Video announcing their 2021 tour
Chris Adler?, woow, I didn't know that, super cool
Very good job Ale 👌🤟.Congratulations

dave was beautiful, gorgeous, perfect, hot, and an amazing vocalist all the way up until 1992
ONE OF THE BEST ROCK GOD'S EVER
GO DAVE. MEGADEATH FOREVER.
Nobody wants to think of our metal heros getting older, because that means we're getting older too.
Slayer 🙏🙏🙏
grate job
Honestamente como fan de Metallica debo reconocer que Dave llevo a Megadeth a otro nivel..por eso me encanta hasta el disco United Abominations..
Es qué los discos siguientes no te gustan
Can you do one On Frank Zappa? :-) Very awesome Job!!
Can a youtube video be that long?
MEGA DAVE RUUUUULES.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Mustaine, Ellefson, Friedman and Menza were like 2009-2011 Barcelona team. When they were in their prime.
so far so good so what is their best album no contest for me
Guess this was made before all the drama with Junior started and he was booted.
Still breaks my heart to see that happen.and how it all unfolded
Legendary band ! That's my favorite one !
RIP Nick Menza..
Seen Megadeth:
1991, 1995, 2017, 2021. 🤘🎸💀😈
Of which song is the solo guitar in minute 4:56??
The songs are in the dang description
Great!
Dave viu que com o Kiko o buraco é mais em baixo e não conseguiu demiti-lo. Pois ele poderia ser demitido da própria banda.
2:50 what's the song pls?
Reckoning Day
@@garlic3030 thx
The songs are in the description
Goodness, that's a lot of members in Megadeth. No wonder I only recognize Dave Mustaine.
Now Jr has been fired
You mean David Ellefson
@@WhoisVinnie He's been always known as "Jr" by Mustaine.
4:14 If Megadeath and SOAD had a child
LOL
Megadeths best lineup was with freidman and Nick menza . That's when Megadeth put out their best music . Although I am a fan of Chris Poland and he's a great guitarist but when Friedman was in the band that's when they were at their best
Fucking nice, long live MegaDave!!
50 seconds in. You rule.
2021 JAMES LOMENZO RETURNED
Best band ever! I’ll always love Megadeth no matter what ❤️🤘🏽

I discovered recently that I enjoy metal a lot, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden and Motlëy Crüe, and I particularly enjoy Megadeth but I don’t know a lot of their songs and I was wondering if someone could suggest me some of their best songs/albums that I could check out
Thanks in advance if someone ever finds this
