  • Lifting and hoisting operations are among the major causes of fatalities and serious incidents in process and production activities. Despite the vast number of regulations, standards and guidelines that apply to lifting, incidents continue to occur. One of the important documents necessary during the lift is the lifting plan. A lifting plan is required for every lift. If the lift deviates from the plan, make it safe and stop the job. A lifting plan provides a systematic approach towards planning a lift and ensures that the lifting operation is properly managed. For example, a lifting plan would ensure that the crane is safely deployed and operated, and the lifting crew are clear about their roles and responsibilities.

07:02 it is not to the ground level but rather to the base of the crane. That crane can't point at ground level.
Another thing, why make the height so high? and why boom out so long?, you did not mention any obstacles to negotiate to justify the boom length of 32mts, that is more than double the radius.
29 metres is insanely high for a radius of 14 mts
That is why the graphic is not to scale, which is a fail lift plan in the UK.

We can use the trigonometric formula to calculate the boom angle... I will make a separate video on this subject soon.

There is lot of difference between Reading the lifting plan and teaching the lifting plan. Learner will suffer difficulties to understand this video lecture. Try to teach, not to read. Thank you
