My God the speed of alcaraz is something else, dude rundown almost every drop shot of Nadal except those in last set where Nadal just was untouchable at net.
The way in which Rafa managed the key moments of the match, at the end of this, was absolutely outstanding, how he kept the mentality when they were playing points under pressure in the last set, how he knew what he must to do at the moment of going to the net and defining the points quickly because Carlos looked with much confidence and accuracy when they playing rallies. To know how act and what to do according how the match is going on, is something what to define to true champions like Nadal.
Nadal came into these semifinals with a 19 match winning streak. Rublev with a 13 match winning streak. Alcaraz with 10. Only Nadal’s streak is still intact.
What a close and exciting match. Nadal is the goat. And Alcaraz will enter the top ten in the next months. This guy is here to succeed the big three. He is the big deal

Nadal wasn't over celebrating when winning amazing points. He's like a mentor to carlos and was very gentle with it all. He loves this kid! Amazing guy!
Rublev is the Son Goku of tennis. This time he lost due to emotions. But man what I love about him, is that he can stay really cold blooded in important points, and goes for big winners. Hitting the ball so hard and fast. I can´t believe it´s not Rafa vs Andrey final not again.
I think Nadal gets to that lob at break point in the second set if he's not worried about hitting the back wall at speed. This kid Alcaraz is the real deal. Everyone is taking about Nadal in the highlights but Alcaraz was the true gem of this semi final. His anticipation at the net was matched by Nadal but throughout the third set Alcaraz was causing a lot of problems to Nadal and 3 times he was within millimeters of breaking Nadal. Most service games Nadal was facing break points, while Alcaraz had comfortable holds. Nadal can feel lucky to have made it alive. It is one of those windy games that can go either way. Congrats go to Alcaraz for nearly causing Nadal's exit. Man, I'm starting to honestly believe Nadal has an argument for best hands at the net in tennis history!!! I've been watching since mid 1970's and don't think I've ever seen anyone better!!! I know their will be some who say Rodger or McEnroe, but I have to go with Nadal. The net play I saw today was arguably the best I've ever seen!!!
At the end of the second I was sure Alcaraz would win the match. The weather conditions were impossible and Carlos was adapting better. On the other hand, Nadal had so many problems to control the ball because of the wind ... suddendly at the end of the third set the wind stopped a little, Nadal decided going to the net and won the match easily, as simply as that. Unbelievable. Carlos used some great dropshots, love shots, angles, his drive was more powerful than Rafa's and reached many "impossible balls"; he is not the future, he is the present. The most important thing, imagine Medvedev vs Kyrgios playing this match ... childish complaints about the sand and the wind, broken rackets ... Carlos and Rafa are behaviour models.
It is surprising that Carlos handled the wind better than Rafa. In more normal conditions Rafa wins in 2. Carlos is the real deal but Rafa managed to break him way too often. The serve needs to improve.

He wasnt all that great in ATP Cup of 2020 and AO, Thiem Quarters, with those nasty tiebreakers.

Nope
This is why hes the G.O.A.T. He has the best Tennis IQ to adjust and figure out the opponent. Always a step ahead
Rafa net game at 3rd set was out of world
Nadal played a great match. Alcarez has a great Tennis IQ. He is only 18 and will get better in the future. Rublev should have played better.
His time will come soon.......congrats to my umtimate idol Nadal

I am sure, if he stay fit, Alcatraz will win 1 Clay Masters this year.
That first set was Alcaraz playing with no tennis IQ. He was simply pounding the ball as hard as he could and he should've taken more off the first serve because his first serve percentage was very poor. After the first set, Alcaraz played pretty smart.
I hope best of Rafa is yet to come!! El gran Campeon!!
What an incredible match by the GOAT!
This match was a lesson for us all that you can play a top notch intensely competitive tennis match while respecting and caring for your opponent.
What a gentleman of Rublev giving Fritz a hug after losing the match.
This guy is just joking us in 2022 so far 😅🤣😳 what is going on with Nadal. If he will stay away from injuries this season, what could we expect on clay from him in 2022? Just unreal and a true joy to watch! Crazy, nothing but crazy IMO! 😻
He might not be injured...
I have the feeling Fritz will cause the upset & Nadal will lose for the 1st time in 2022.
I love rublev offering his game to God whether it is a win or lose
Rafa has to be the mentally strongest player on the tour. He's never fazed nor does he give up till the last point. I think the only time I saw a reaction from him was when some lady in the crowd yelled "Rafa, will you marry me? " Even he couldn't hold back on that and had to let a laugh out. He can easily outlast anyone in a rally without hitting winners. Truly magnificent.,
the other one was when another lady was showing middle finger towards him xd
@@KangurPL hmm. I didn’t know about that one. Need to check it out.

Fritz is definitely showing signs of becoming the dominant US singles player of 2022! Rublev still needs to work on his mental game. He’s definitely top 5 in the natural ability and skill set areas.

Sir, please make extended highlights of great matches between great players like Nadal & Alcaraz.
Fritz is learning to come forward and his volleying is improving.. so many players are uncomfortable at the net it’s a problem especially in tie brakes and big points 🎾

Eterno Rafa.
Carlos has made such an impression on the tennis world. Rafa played him with absolute respect.
loved Rublev's reaction and the way he hugged Fritz, a true sportsman!
All 4 deserve high praise for such a high level match without drama. What a class for both esp. Ruble after losing to hug the opponent.
My God the speed of alcaraz is something else, dude rundown almost every drop shot of Nadal except those in last set where Nadal just was untouchable at net.
The best 3rd set of tennis I have seen in a long time. Incredible tennis. Rafa has my vote for GOAT.
Just remember that Alcaraz is only 18, this kid has a great career ahead of him!
Rafa rules. Rafa history maker. I respect him and his level of hardwork.
To know how act and what to do according how the match is going on, is something what to define to true champions like Nadal.
nadal iq on court is just out the charts, he adapts his game to the rival so well, always finding a solution to win
The mentality of some1 constantly grappling his a hole

Great win for Fritz, and Nadal is just next level!. Amazing win!
Mais comment fait-il Rafa, phénoménal joueur. Et Carlos, si fort aussi. Exceptionnels !!! 👍👍👍
Nadal wasn't over celebrating when winning amazing points. He's like a mentor to carlos and was very gentle with it all. He loves this kid! Amazing guy!

Carlos should be proud of himself. He could have won this match. Nadal won this match because of experience.
Presente y Futuro del tenis Español ¡Vamos!
Rublev is the Son Goku of tennis. This time he lost due to emotions. But man what I love about him, is that he can stay really cold blooded in important points, and goes for big winners. Hitting the ball so hard and fast. I can´t believe it´s not Rafa vs Andrey final not again.
ALCATRAZ did not get out of jail this time against FenomeNadal.
But he is inching ever closer to making an escape soon.
🇪🇸🇪🇸🐐
I think Nadal gets to that lob at break point in the second set if he's not worried about hitting the back wall at speed.
This kid Alcaraz is the real deal. If anyone's made Rafa really feel his age, it's Carlos. Nadal perhaps only now realizes he's not going to still be playing two years from now.
Savor it while you can. All things considered, The Bull really is the GOAT.
Alcaraz had BPs early in the 3rd set but couldn't capitalise it.
It was a very close match till the end
If Rafa and Carlos both play doubles together, that would be something.
What the hell, now Rafa has some crazy-good net fame?!?? Amazing. Never stops improving. Hats off. Also, how great is Alcaraz!!
Rafa has always been rock solid @ Net. The man can do it all. 😎
I always thought Nadal dodged the net because of his speed. Today’s champions must have an all round game which is what Novak seems to have - a Rafa fan by the way. On the other hand Alcaraz might just be that player with time.
@@nthabisengmanentsa5185yep, usually serve and net game are the weaknesses of very young players and develop with time. However Alcaraz is improving faster than light, he will undoubtedly be top 10 by the end of the year.

Rafa is an incredible warrior. Right now, the hard court is working his body over. A friend of mine is working at Indian Wells, and Rafa is not quite ambulatory after the matches, and one day was carried by Tony and his trainer after the match. Rafa’s net play is amazing.
Taking a set off nadal itself shows the level of alcaraz. But it still feels that he is in awe of his idol and he isn’t competing at his fullest potential. He made a statement before the match that he is happy even if he loses to nadal .
His press conference goes in more detail. It's not all what you think.
@@707ladytee I love nadal and alcaraz is the future . All I meant was that there seems to be little hesitation from alcaraz when facing nadal . He completely dominated all his opponents in these last 3-4 weeks . But with nadal , he seems to be starstuck which isn’t his fault though
Alcaraz choked.
Nadal está a un nivel que con ganarle un set aunque pierdas el partido ya es un logro.
His problem solving abilities are through the roof, no doubt playing against Nadal in a competitive game will have supplied him with a lot of useful insights for their next confrontation, like use his superior lob instead of forcing at the net twice in a row.
Rafa net play was crazy, unbelievable! Really?
Man, I'm starting to honestly believe Nadal has an argument for best hands at the net in tennis history!!! I've been watching since mid 1970's and don't think I've ever seen anyone better!!!
I know their will be some who say Rodger or McEnroe, but I have to go with Nadal. The net play I saw today was arguably the best I've ever seen!!!
Stefan Edberg?
Many have said it; I'll add myself to that list: Nadal is a world-class volleyer.
07:47 and 07:50: Rublev's average volleys.
