This was exactly how a guided tutorial should be! You explained literally everything you were doing and made it very visible as to where you were moving your wires to and where you were turning things
And you made it clear as to why you made every bend/curl, thank you for this!
I am going to use this to attempt my own wire wrapping for the first time :)

Tools explained, technique shown and most importantly, what WIRE GAUGE and softness DEAD SOFT. I was not sure how soft the wire had to be. Marvelous! New hobby coming up. A big thank you, Oxana!

Your videos are always really interesting, thank you so much for sharing. I just wanted to pass on a tip that I thought was great from the book "Wirewrapping: The Basics and Beyond". To figure out how much wire you need, measure the circumference of your stone, double that measurement and add 2 inches for the bail. So if the circumference of the stone measures 2.5 inches, doubling that is 5 inches, plus 2 inches for the bail comes to 7 inches. You would then cut each strand to 7 inches.
Just a tip...keep making your awesome videos - the wirewrap world needs you.

Thank you so much Oxana. I gave up wire wrapping years ago because I didn't have a good teacher and I found it too difficult. I have recently decided I wanted to donate to a charity for adult survivors of childhood abuse. The only way I could do that was to somehow make money. I came to the conclusion that I could make jewelry if I could learn. So I heard about you and low and behold I'm doing much better because of your teaching !!! You make things so clear and easy to understand!!! Thank you again!!!

I tried this myself! Definitely need to use the kind of wire she recommends. Round wire just doesn’t look as tight, is much harder to work with, and if it’s too stiff the loops and bends won’t look round.
Still though, I managed to make a practice pendant pretty easily and without much frustration. That’s a win for me! And next I’m going to try it with the kind of wire she suggests.

Mine came out really nicely. The only thing that was a problem is that you didn´t say at 8:17 that it´s important to leave the wire longer for the hook later. I had started wrapping it quite narrowly because I use 925 silver wire and didn´t want to waste any. In the end when you took the bit from the beginning that you had left hanging out and closed the hook with it, I had nothing left so I had to impro and wrap a separate wire around the hook to fixate it which didn´t look as nice. Gladly the little swirls in the end covered that up. I hope it´s understandable what I mean lol Anyway thanks for the great tutorial.

I've ordered some of your pliers, cause you make it look so easy! But I do think you were wise to use needle nose pliers for detail like this. I have small round nose pliers, and although they're dainty, they don't have as good a grip. Thank you for this tutorial, it's been really helpful.

This is a great tutorial and I feel like I could follow you and have a great looking piece of jewelry. Love the way this turned out and if this was a simple little piece I wonder what your more complicated pieces look like? I want to learn more
