I didn't think they were trying to advertise Monster as much as make fun of the bands who do advertise them in their music videos (such as The Word Alive). The fact that the guy interrogating him immediately slapped it out of his hand after he tried to drink it was probably hinting towards that.

I think Monster knows people are hating it, which is why they're making it so obvious. Zack from The Word Alive literally looks right at the camera jokingly and takes a sip in their recent video

Crown The Empire is my favorite band and I am so proud of their progress ^-^ I've known them since almost the beginning of their music career, and they are just wonderful.

+Levi Jaymes Honestly I dont think Danger Days was much better than this (lore and video wise anyway, I assume that's what youre talking about?). Some of the characters looked pretty cringy (on top of sometimes having awful names), the story didn't make much sense (though I didn't really look that far into it to be fair) and the music itself wasn't really my thing for the most part. I'm more of a fan of the Bullets/Revenge era but I might be a little biased since that is the era when I found out about them: D
James Lewis I think for me it has to do with the fact that MCR didn't take themselves so seriously with their concept, but these guys are acting like this is some super serious shit and that they're actual heroes or something. That's the problem I have with it I think, it's just pretentious to me. I respect your educated response though.
