i am amazed by the laser focus of the young guys at the table listening to Reagan talk. I would love to interview them and know their thoughts after the passage of time.

As a high school freshman I had a classmate who's brother had graduated during my freshman year and went on to join the Marines. I knew him as well due to it being a small town in Ohio (4,000 people) at the time and my classmate Scott would bring pictures of his brother Troy to school and Troy was assigned to President Reagan's detail, which allowed us to see him photographed with President Reagan and many other people. From talks I had with him that was one of the reasons I chose to join the military. President Reagan really loved and appreciated the military and all they stood for.

Always impressed by Reagan, especially how he asks if they have any questions. It's true: he did act as though he were honored to meet you.

I am transfixed by watching this entire video; from the way he and Nancy interacted with the recruits even to the blissful walk in the surrounding forest. This president and his confident were eloquent, sympathetic and down-to-earth souls that positively impacted the people they came across.

Nice guy, I'm sure it's reasonable to assume (and observe, from his recorded personal interactions while president). But if one adjudges him a "great president" or even a "great American," it seems one must take into account that he instituted government of the rich, by the rich, and for the rich. If you consider that a good thing, then so be it.
