The storyline buildup around the time prior to No Mercy 2002 was one of the greatest rivalries I've ever seen back in the day involving Brock Lesner vs The Undertaker. And the PPV itself was one of the best and most brutal climaxes in wrestling history, and the theme tune makes it twice as good!

Such a shame WWE quit using this as well as the PPV, No Mercy was always one of my favorites. The ending to this song alone is beautiful, nice piano solo to end it.

I still have this PPV on DVD. Crazy art with Kane’s mask empty. Card overall had some bangers on it, most importantly, Taker and Lesnar’s OG HIAC encounter. Gotta love the RA era.

I had just turn 6, so I asked my dad to order this pay-per-view for me. I would never forget that night, seeing the hell in a cell match between taker and lesnar was just unbelievable guys. This song definitely fits for that match. The rivalry was insane and personal. I was shocked at the beating undertaker received, seeing undertaker wiping off his blood away from his eyes because he couldn't see! it was truly brutal! at the end you will see undertaker, laying down in a pool of his own blood... looking up and Brock Lesnar, standing on top of the cage with the belt rising high.

This was a badass theme for a badass pay-per-view. Favourite match of the '02 No Mercy would have to be either Benoit/Angle vs Edge/Mysterio for the WWE Tag Titles or the Lesnar/Undertaker Hell in a Cell for the WWE Title.
Smackdown was the number one show at the time!

vengeance was always my fav. i liked the big V on their stage platform.
aside from 2011, I really doubt they'll bring Vengeance back, considering that it's now about as attached to Chris Benoit as Over The Edge is to Owen Hart

The opening when Kane says to Undertaker (So how was your week) Its such a simple line to come up with. But everything each of them had going on with there characters stories was perfect!
EXACTLY. When characters actually converged on a substantial level using a basic overlay. It was rare to see Kane and Taker together after the brand split so this was a treat

I get goosebumps when I hear this in the promo when Brock is up close Stephanie Mcmahon in the ring, and Undertaker charges him, out of nowhere Brock turns around, bam spine buster. Epic moment.
If No Mercy is coming back as an annual deal for NXT, I hope they bring this song back for a future year. But I doubt it because of licensing

My favorite PPV of all time and not because it was the greatest necessarily but because it was in my home state of Arkansas and I was there. The only PPV I've EVER gotten to see live. The Smackdown Tag Championship match: Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit vs Edge and Rey Mysterio was AMAZING. The Hell in a cell match for the WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar vs The American Badass version of Undertaker was another incredible match. What a night.

For time has pased us in a hurry... once it was a new thing, a new era... a new day. I listen to this song and just imagine how things could have been in general to different things. It was great knowing everything was put in the right places at this time in era. Brock added attitude to this event. Masked Kane was nearly unstoppable... Triple H at his finest, Undertaker... everyone that was involved on this event and in this era- the list goes on... GREAT piece of work here!

Undertaker used once this song once as his entrance theme before No Mercy 2002. Perhaps Jim Johnston wanted to give a little peak of the song using it as Undertaker's entrance theme. He often alters many songs after they've used for the first time. I don't why he does so many versions of each entrance theme.
It wasn't his intro song. This was the theme for the PPV and was used in the promo for Taker vs Lesnar at the PPV.
Yes it was but only one time on SmackDown! episode in 2002 yet it was an instrumental version. I even have my VHS tape somewhere with Undertaker using this song. It wasn't OFFICIALLY his intro song but he did use it once...

both main event were great in that no mercy because both members of the brothers of destruction were in world title matches. kane vs hhh and undertaker vs lesnar in hell in a cell. they both lost but damn they were good matches.
