Man I remember pay per views like this that had such powerful themes that almost made me tear when I couldn't watch it.. I remember my family struggling, we couldn't afford cable and we had some old box that would pick up signals and i remember watching old pay per views on it and it was the best thing.. it bonded me and my father more than anything. I've always been a taker fan.. i was like 8 when this ppv happened and seeing taking beat lesnar that bad.. Man Memories.. Now PG era is horrible.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I'm just a couple years older than you and didn't get into watching wrestling until the fruit pebble Cena era had taken over. Really wish I had been able to experience 02-04 firsthand.

Still think Shawn or orton should have ended the streak. Shawn because Taker had never really beat him up to that point at Mania 25, or Orton because he was in his "Legend Killer" stage and it would have elevated his career and made him wwe's top heel.
They tried to make Orton end the streak in 2005 but he refused out of respect
Bray Wyatt should've ended it. It would've made him a huge star.

I know the attitude era gets all the hype and rightfully so, I barely missed that era I was only about 6 when that era ended but the Ruthless Aggression era was amazing the ppv theme songs from 2002-2006 were on point as well and I think imo it was best of both worlds attitude era style still pushed but with better matches just missed Austin and The Rock but Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, HBK, Benoit, Brock Lesnar, Cena, Orton and Batista were tremendous and Stacy Keibler as Booker T would say “ mhmm..mhmmm mhmm, sop her up with biscuit”
