You've done a great job as a parent, lol. My daughter's 25 and when I first put this on for her when she was little, she frowned. A few minutes into it and she was laughing hilariously. Mel Brooks is both of our favorite movie makers. She'll call randomly and say it's movie night and we watch some W.C. Fields to warm up and kick it into high gear with a Brooks flick. The man never failed to find humor in ANY situation.
This movie...this cast...this script...this screenplay...this lighting...this production...this musical score...this acting...? RIP Peter Boyle, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, Marty Feldman, and Gene Wilder...you are all in my memories as being part of one of the greatest comedies in the history of cinema. And to you Mel Brooks, at 96 years young? May you live long and enjoy your accomplishments! Halloween just past and I'll be traditionally watching the original 'Frankenstein', 'The Bride of Frankenstein', 'The Son of Frankenstein', and finally 'Young Frankenstein' in the coming days...
@@stuartwray6175 Jesus...does it have to be spelled out for you? There are many that don't really consider this a masterpiece of comedic filmmaking... My question mark was meant to challenge those who oppose this great film as a top effort.
I have just come from the cinema from seeing "Young Frankenstein" and it was one of the most wonderful experiences. The whole cinema was laughing its head off, Gene Wilder was off the screen and Marty Feldman is going to be the idol of many tonight. A genius Mel Brooks, one of the few born in a century, for me he will always be the best. Thank you Maestro!!! P.D: This year, 1974 promises to be a good year!
Every actor in this fit perfectly and the special effects and black and white film made it even better. The perfect comedy, and everyone involved really respected the classic Frankenstein movies.
Her range was incredible, from this and High Anxiety to The Last Picture Show and even up to Adam Sandler's remake of The Longest Yard. She had it all and from what I gather, she was a really nice person that never went "Hollywood". That's pretty rare in her business.
I've hosted triple-features, showing a trilogy of the original, the original bride, and the Young. While these cut scenes were fun to watch, I've gotta admit that Brooks' final edited version is absolutely perfect. ❤
Priceless scenes from the greatest comedy in cinematographic history. Half a century after first seeing it, these wonderful actors still crack me up without fail. Jeune Frankenstein, je t'adore.
Talk about having an all star cast of comedy giants...my appreciation for comedic geniuses such as gene wilder , cloris leachman , marty feldman just keeps growing the more i watch them...gildna radner , mel brooks , buck henry , the original snl cast , etc...wow
My favorite scene of the movie is when Wilder goes into the cell with Boyle and gives the others strict instructions not to open the door. I nearly peed myself watching that as a kid with my dad and my daughter said the same when we first watched it together. "Open this door you bastards, I'll kick your rotten heads in!!"
Young Frankenstein was the best and funny movie from my teens!! I love the line…Roll Roll Roll in the Hay!!! Plus, Wow, What Knockers !!! Love. Laura from NH
I absolutely love these outtakes. I think they should have left the scene in the Puttin` On The Ritz number when Wilder says the line to Igor, "Where`s your hump...... and Feldman says, NEVER with TAILS". It was hysterical.
I actually think this is the funniest film EVER made. I saw it when it came out in 1974. A friend of mine showed it to his young daughter and her friends (aged about 13). They didn't like it - thought it was "boring". I don't know what to say....
comedy wise yes, but number one is...... Halloween....chi chi chi chi chi .... cha cha cha cha cha cha cha with the Scream Queen herself, Jamie Lee Curtis
I'm driving on the 101 freeway... going Eastbound.....the East part of the San Fernando Valley ..about Laurel Canyon.. it's like a Thursday..10 Am... I'm in the number one lane.. The number two Lane?... There's a 1974 ..older gold Rolls-Royce..BUT?.. the license plate says ."COMEDY"???....I'm thinking ... WHO THE HELL IS THIS?!!... I'm going into town.. past Universal Studios.... but I'm intrigued... there's only ONE plate like that...in the ENTIRE State of CALIFORNIA!!.. Somebody had it originally ..but if you have enough money?. you can buy it.. I catch up?..It's Mel Brooks Driving the car..with the " Comedy" California plates...lol..!!.. his shoulders ..barely over the door...and his wife..Anne Bancroft.!!.. in the passenger seat!..I was like HOLY CRAP!.. we continued on the 101..past Barham...and the Hollywood Bowl.. into Hollywood!!.. To my left?. ...was the Hollywood Sign!...BUT?... To my Right?? Was freeking Mel Brooks!!!..and Anne Bancroft!!.. it was Wonderful!
Here we are in 2023 and Young Frankenstein is still the funniest movie I've ever seen! My kids can quote this movie word for word.
I agree😂

Don't forget Naked Gun.
So great to hear about the wonderful movies 🍿 being turned in to family traditions:( classic's NEVER get old !
These outtakes were funnier than a lot of comedies today.

The Sound, the scenery,......
You list many of the component parts that make this a great movie, so why the question mark?

It's so cool to hear Mel Brooks out of camera :D
Cloris Leachman was absolutely nuts. She was awesome.
Her range was incredible, from this and High Anxiety to The Last Picture Show and even up to Adam Sandler's remake of The Longest Yard. She had it all and from what I gather, she was a really nice person that never went "Hollywood". That's pretty rare in her business.
When I was a kid in the 70s and saw this movie, for years because all of the make-up I thought she was much older than she really was.
This remains one of my favorite movies. So much talent here.
Cloris Leachman should have won an Oscar based on these outtakes, dammit !
It remains one of my favorite movies after 50 years. Incredible attention to detail which I uncover more each time I watch it.

Bringing smiles to people is truly noble work. Thank you, Mel and everyone else, for yours.
Terri Garr is absolutely adorable throughout the movie
Easily among the top five most beautiful women ever on screen.
Ann Bancroft was the love of Mel’s life. She left us too soon.
I could watch 400 hours of Marty Feldman at the piano he’ll, 400 hours of Marty Feldman anywhere
Hearing Brooks yell action gives me goosebumps 😎
Makes me sopping
Why?
@@sarcasticallyrearranged A legend doing his craft that made him a legend?
More of Marty Feldman’s scenes should have been left in!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! For posting this video ❤
Marty's face belongs in a Hall of Fame of some kind.😅

Marty was the best. The entire cast did a fantastic job. Mel is a genius Icon who will keep audiences laughing for as long as reruns exist.
A riot is a terrible thing. And it's about time we had one !!!!!
Hoping they've included these outtakes in re-releases of this movie/best Mel Brooks item ever done, my '2 cents'
First movie I cried myself silly watching in the theater back in the day. 🤣

I nearly peed myself watching that as a kid with my dad and my daughter said the same when we first watched it together. "Open this door you bastards, I'll kick your rotten heads in!!"
One of my very favorites, too, but the line was "Open this goddam door or I'll kick your rotten heads in!" LOLOL
"Mommie!"
as a kid with my dad and my daughter...😮
(comma) - as a kid with my dad, and my daughter said the same...
"Never with tails" I almost fell out of my chair !!!!
It's funny, but it's not THAT funny
Mel Brooks best and funniest movie.
❤
Young Frankenstein was the best and funny movie from my teens!! I love the line…Roll Roll Roll in the Hay!!! Plus, Wow, What Knockers !!! Love. Laura from NH
"CUT schon!" Brooks is a national treasure.
Seinfeld fans- keep an eye out for Mr. Pitt as a villager.
GREAT movie.
How many retakes it took for each scene. I couldn't keep a straight face. 😂
My parents introduced me to Mel Brooks. I still giggle at the end scene of Blazing Saddles
Really thought the casting in this film was sub-standard! However the set design was magnificent. Made the movie IMHO! Just kidding… Mel call me!
Absolutely best movie
THE FUNNIEST MOVIE EVER MADE. 😆😂😅
Now at least we know why Frederick was holding a blindfold at one point.
That's Froderick!
I didn't realize Lou Cutell was in YF until seeing this. Rip Lou, you were a mensch.
I absolutely love these outtakes. I think they should have left the scene in the Puttin` On The Ritz number when Wilder says the line to Igor, "Where`s your hump...... and Feldman says, NEVER with TAILS". It was hysterical.
"Never with tails?" I don't follow. 😕

I've always wondered why Hans's brain looks like it's been squished compared to the others.
Greatest Halloween movie of all time
comedy wise yes, but number one is......
Halloween....chi chi chi chi chi .... cha cha cha cha cha cha cha
with the Scream Queen herself, Jamie Lee Curtis
It's "Fronkensteen"!
Clovis Leachman, Gene Wilder, Madeline Khan, Peter Boyle,
It looks like removing these scenes was a very good idea. These weren't working. The movie as edited turned into perfection.
Agreed, allowing the viewer's imagination to fill the gaps is very important.
ABBY NORMAL!!!🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
A cara q eke faz é a melhor de todas!!😂😂😂😂😂
Olha!!!! Q legal!!! Eu adorava ver os filmes deles muito bom!!! O outro ator não sei o nome!!!
Its a hoot
Great mivie
Madeline Kahn was such a Sexy Lady… Teri Garr was no slouch… but I’ll always be a Kahn Man.
He married Mrs Robinson in real life.
what i hated with this movie was that when i rented it,the photoes on the front and the back of the cover had colors in them
When I rented this, I was peeved that the packaging wasn't monochrome, like the movie
'Photos' - photoes, looks a bit like potatoes.
Funniest movie ever to be sure...ever.
