Had my Sync 3, on a 2016 c-max for about a month now - and v handy it is too. Love the navigation part of it - although it can send you down some narrow country lanes . It's greatly improved from the Ford voice control I had on a 2011 model - that was like talking to a brick wall for the most part. My version is 2.2 and I'm putting off updating, because I understand that it can take up to two hours to do - with the engine running for all that time.
Anyhow, this nice video will save me from having to read through about one hundred pages in the paper manual - thank you for the time and effort

Text messaging with out the lead works in mine with out needing to have phone in hand need to change a setting on ur Bluetooth on the phone to enable it.
Thanks sir. All I needed to do was switch the source of the screen to my phone! I was playing through spotify and selecting Fiesta on there but nothing was coming through!

Can SYNC 3 Mirror image from the phone so say you can watch RUclips etc?
Hi Barrie, are you aware if the car has connectivity before you bluetooth connect your phone? Or, can you get live traffic, navigation, infotainment, etc. without connecting the phone? If you can, my follow up would be, what is the process to get the car connected (without the use of the phone)?

Just bought ford focus 2018, there is no sat nav. Only screen and radio etc. I want to install sat nav. Is it possible?

Sorry Barrie,but I think it's your accent the Sat nav had trouble with, when you say Chorley,it hears Chawley, you aren't pronouncing your R's, possibly,you need a good Scottish accent, great videos, very helpful indeed.
I think you’re right, when i say im sorry my iphone thinks i am saying “Hey Siri” and when yo have to say im sorry as many times as i do, it becomes a nuisance
Don't you have to install the Sat nav information yourself using USB ?
not if you have it as an option, or you can use the sat nav on your iPhone
Does it have to be a phone eg apple ipad
