    I imagine it is so satisfying to be working through your fabric stash and making items you love/ that fit well on top of it all! Go you! 😊 After a six month making slump you have been motivating me to work through my sewing and knitting WIPs before my fifth baby arrives in October. Plus now I want to make 3 Hinterland dresses for nursing postpartum!

    LisaR: Didn't realize Id been smiling the entire time til "Bacall" :) The sewing projects -Hit all the buttons- (right fabric perfect weight , drape ,color &of course pattern/ fit :) Your outfits came together beautifully . The photos are super - very photogenic! The jumper: piece I'm happy to see back in modern iteration! Lots of potential- I had similar made in many fabrics for every season and occasion . Linens , light denim , twill , light woolen with a half lining , satin , silk , lightweight stretchy velveteen , baby corduroy... Oh my ! I wish you continued success in living a creative life . Keep your candle burning bright ,light one end❤

    The framed sweater is beautiful and you did a great job. I love watching you because you are so positive and are tempting me to start sewing again. I also love linen. The Framed sweater will be above my ability level and very heavy for me to get enough use out of, but I loved seeing the yarn for Collette Vest since I’m thinking of the Collette T. Thanks so much, I hope you are all feeling better and I agree with the comment about Hillbilly Elegy, it was a very well done film.

    Your sweater is beautiful! And I love the gorgeous yarn acquisitions. It’s so funny. My husband and I have just finished watching all the seasons of Monk. We love that show. Hope to see another Virgin River season soon. If you haven’t seen Hillbilly Elegy, the J. D. Vance memoir directed by Ron Howard, I recommend it highly. It’s very good. A bit rough on language, but realistic of his upbringing. Glad you’re feeling better! Hope all will be well soon! Knit on! I enjoy your podcasts so much!

    Framed is absolutely beautiful ❤️ and I love the colors you used. I'm currently working on the Petite knit zipper sweater for me and Moby sweater for my twins but I think imma cast this one on too! It'll be my first attempt at color work.

      @@YoungfolkKnits yes you are right, probably a very cool one with white would work for summer. But still, I would not gravitate towards it when picking something to actually wear. Yellow pants and yellow shoes maybe, or yellow with a white shirt under it could work. Or: I just really enjoy the color on other people😉

    That was a great episode. You know almost every summer I knit less. It just happens. Andrea Mowry’s new quilt sweater is gorgeous but it would be way too warm for me. I would love it in a lighter yarn. I very rarely wear worsted wool . Portland Oregon just doesn’t get cold enough for worsted or heavier.

    THANK YOU for the tip about the double knitted bands. I have not been happy with my double knitted arm bands/button bands and will be doing a folded over hem on future projects! It also killlls my hands so I’ve been avoiding basically all cardigans 😂

    Did you know that Sewhouse Seven is a Portland Oregon pattern designer. Her patterns are named after Portland landmarks. Burnside is a major street in Portland the Burnside Bridge is the oldest bridge over the Willamette which bisects the city. Just a fun fact.

    Try out Louise Penny’s Three Pines Series for great audiobooks. The first is called Still Life. I started watching your channel for the knitting but you’re tempting me to get my sewing machine dusted off with all your linen creations! We seem to have a similar sense of style and also very similar body shape so I love seeing your finished garments on you. Simply stunning!

    Curious, in past episodes you shared that one of the reasons you weren’t fond of sewing was because of the hassle of getting the machine & accessories out and having to put it all back. Have you gotten used to it or did you find a dedicated space for your sewing adventures?

      @@jamiethrogmorton2540 I completely understand! I’m a big fan of yarn substitutions on her designs! I think this would look great in knitting for olive worsted - cascade 220 superwash - Malabrigo rios - cascade wave

      I completely understand! I’ve been recommending cascade 220 and cascade wave as great alternatives!
