      Has 1g Ram, horrible

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage  2 года назад +2

      @@christophermcgill39 I agree, 1 gig of RAM doesn't sound like much in 2022...... But keep in mind these Android scan tools are usually running much older versions of the Android operating system and when you consider what the task is, (it's just a scan tool) 1 gig of ram is probably more than you need. It's not like we're running the latest and greatest iPhone or Android device with tons of applications running in the background, or watching high res videos while scrolling through 27 different browser windows at the same time. The scan tool is just text on the screen, no pics or vids whatsoever. The scan tool software and it's software updates are relatively small data files. My first real desktop computer in the early 2000's had 512MB (half of one gig) and it worked just fine. When you run only the most basic of software, it doesn't require much hardware for it to run properly. My desktop computer today is a 24 core AMD Threadripper (3960) with 128GB of cl-16, 4 channel ram...... I rarely ever see my resource monitor go over 10-12 GB of used ram even when I'm rendering 4K video. My point? Even if the scan tool had more ram, that doesn't mean the software would USE more ram. It only uses what it needs regardless of how much ram is available. Thanks for the comment.

    Got problem I forgot my password on nt809 bt. Any help what to can't open it now thanks

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage  Год назад +1

      You should be able to request a password reset like you can with pretty much any other password protected account. I know I've personally had to do this with my NT809 so it can be done. You just need to have access to your email account that is associated with your Foxwell account. It might be easier to do from a PC computer rather than from the scan tool itself. Go to: www.foxwelltech.us/ and see if you can reset the password. It worked for me....

      Yes, I believe it should. However, I do not have a 2009 Honda to plug into to verify that options appears in the menu. Maybe a quick email to the Foxwell's customer service email address listed in the Amazon listing would verify either way, just to be sure. Thanks

    it has air suspension callibration function?

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage  Год назад

      Probably. It depends on what vehicle you're plugged into. If this scan tool is plugged into a vehicle that does NOT have an air suspension calibration function, then that function will not appear on the screen of the scan tool...... and since none of my vehicles have that function, I've never seen it. If you plug into your vehicle, than it will probably appear as an option. Keep in mind, the menus and options you see on the screen of any scan tool GREATLY depends on the vehicle it's currently plugged into. For example, if you're plugged into my 2006 1500 GMC truck and you study the menus and option on the screen of the tool, then 1 minute later you plug into a 2019 Honda Accord (for example) you're going to see 100% different menus and options... Nothing will appear the same, and nothing will be worded the same. So, to answer you question.... Does it have air suspension calibration? The answer is "probably". I don't even know the make and model of vehicle you're asking about. Not that it would matter because there is no way that I can memorize every feature and function on every year/make/model of every vehicle ever made. You could try the Foxwell diagnostic coverage list on the Foxwell website. It's a feature that lets you look up a specific make and model of vehicle, then look up a specific Foxwell scan tool and it should list every function available on the tool for that specific vehicle. I'm not sure if it's 100% accurate, but it will give you an idea. Thanks.

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage  Месяц назад

      Have you tried more than one vehicle? Have you tried using generic OBD2? This is 100% dependent upon the year/make/model of vehicle that you're currently plugged into. What you see on the screen of the scan tool can and WILL be different every time you plug into a different vehicle. If you're still not happy, then simply return the device back to Amazon for a refund. They offer free returns....

    How does this compare to the nt710

    • @SlipFitGarage
      @SlipFitGarage  2 года назад

      First and foremost, this one is Bluetooth wireless, and the NT710 is corded..... However, other than that I can not honestly answer your question because I've never had the chance to use an NT710. You could send a quick email to the Amazon seller, or to the Foxwell Support email address that I have listed in this video. Sorry I did not have a better answer for you. Thanks.
