I never had the pleasure of reading any of Lovecrafts works and boy I now see the errors of my ways! I have deprived myself of some truly remarkable storytelling. Thank goodness Dagoth-Ur of the Sixth House decided to narrate these prolific works of art for us lowly N'wahs!! He truly is a merciful God!!
@@OscarDaOtter1317 I was a huge fan of Lovecraft in High School. In college I had done what I could to spread the literature to lovers of the macabre. I've tried to show it to the current generation of college students...and uh...they're kinda caught up in their rhetoric. No one under the age of 25 wants to read his work.
Never could I have imaginged in my wildest dreams that 23 years after the defeat Of Daddy-Ur at Red Mountain that I would be binge watching videos of Dagoth-Ur reading books to me, and actually be so intent on hearing the whole thing! For of course I am but a fool and he is a "God" of course I enjoy his voice, how could you not enjoy listening to a "God" narrate to you!
I just realised somthing. Do you remember quest in skyrim where u need to collect pages of poem writen by ghost in cairn of souls. It might be inspired by this story.
I do remember that quest! It's in the Soul Carin in the Dawnguard DLC. The ghost you're helping is Saint Jiub, who is actually from Morrowind. I had never thought of the connection but now that you mention it, it's entirely possible! :)
Indeed, the pages we collect tell the lost story of a genius/hero, who wrote them down then died to a otherworldly entity, and he is lost in a dark void. Very similar notes.
My favorite Lovecraft short story, narrated by Dagoth Ur. What a time to be alive.
Are you me??? This one left a mark on me in High School.
