Got some good BAD CGI to react to: Steven Seagal's Code Of Honor... it's all bad BUT specifically the final fight scene 1) jumping through the skylight 2) the helicopter and the force ghosts on it and 3) the explosion EDIT: ACTUALLY DO A WHOLE EPISODE OF JUST SEAGAL MOVIES BECAUSE IT WOULD BE AWESOME *2nd EDIT: AND ALSO DO A WHOLE STUNTMEN REACT EPISODE TO THOSE MOVIES TOO

I've been watching The Gilded Age, set in 1880's NYC, and you *know* they couldn't have built an entire city on a studio lot so it's fascinating to try pick how far back the practical sets go before they CG in additional background buildings. Half the outdoor scenes I'm ignoring the story to squint at the most distant extra I can see walking around and whatever shadows they're casting on nearby walls and surfaces.

Still hate how they butchered the insane events from the book in the film. They flat out replaced the horrific alien-consuming events with a weird artsy drowning in black-goo scenes. The entire book is extremely graphic and to replace all that with a garbage "artistic perspective" ruined the entire concept.

And even then, they'll probably wait an extra couple of months to pass, for enough people to have watched it for it to generate a solid buzz.
So, try asking for it again, say, 5-6 months later. Perhaps then, they'll seriously consider it.

I've actually genuinely been putting a lot of thought into recommendations for you guys since you started this series and here's what I've come up with: Fractals. What am I talking about? Computer-generated landscapes using fractal technology. Famously that's what they used in 'Genesis Simulation' sequence in Star Trek II and it was groundbreaking. But I loved the episode you guys have done where you've attempted to recreate 'classical' CGI using modern technology and it just seems like a great challenge. Can you recreate the incredible fractal landscape from Star Trek II using modern software? Other points of interest aren't movies but Rescue of Fractalis and Lair both used fractal processing under the hood in ways that were extremely impressive for their time. Don't need nothing but a hearty thank you. Also I just love when you look at old analog effects so would love to see you talk about good and bad matte painting over the years, maybe Dykstraflex & computer-controlled multipass miniatures filming in general, or a "retro" episode with like pre-70s effects movies like Fantastic Voyage, Forbidden Planet, Journey to the Centre of the Earth & War of the Worlds. I think everyone talks about (the very awesome) Ray Harryhausen but I think it over shadows some other optical achievements of that time. Or the silent films of Fritz Lang (his german films are basically all effects heavy science fiction or fantasy) especially the launch sequence in Frau im Mond. Peace

The *last agni kai fight from ATLA* would be perfect for for the Animators React. It's so stunning!
For the VFX series you gotta react to *Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia!* Also at the end of second one there's a big water creature, so it might be cool to see what you think about that. Maybe also, Max Schneider's Gibberish music video, the editing kinda breaks my brain there.

I don't see a better place to discuss Tenet so I guess I'll put it here. Wouldn't fighting someone who's moving back in time be incredibly simple? They're locked in a loop that forces them to take actions that were never meant to react to your actions, they can't see what you're going to do so wouldn't it be as simple as shooting or curb-stomping them the moment they fell to the floor or otherwise weren't reacting to your actions?

4:10 the reason they had to shoot it twice, which the movie explains, is because the building is already blown up. It has already happened (which is a theme the protagonist learns as he progresses). So no matter what the reverse people have to blow it up because to normal time, it already happened. It’s a lock in time that can’t be undone. It’s happening an infinite amount of times.

The 4K one some of the textures and stuff do look better, but the whole "cinematic" (literal) feel is way off due to the 60 frames thing.

Arcane is amazing and won 11 animation awards. I'm shocked they haven't reacted to it at all yet.

I really hope they don't do it, Riot is such a toxic employer that they don't really need more attention...

@@esaedvik Not gonna argue with that, I got problems with Rito too, but don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Fortiche did incredible work on Arcane and deserves the praise.

You guys should do some of the oat studies vfx, I’m only two episodes in but I’m already blown away by how grounded it all feels
