Honestly I was triggered too. Esp b/c one of my friends is yellow-green color blind and often relies on the names and descriptions from friends or websites- he puts these descriptions in his swatch sheet.
Ultra marine that is purple red triggers me. I understand.
I have a set of markers that are similar to these but a different brand and I have a fresh green that’s yellow too, it’s always been kinda funny to me
I think that it's called fresh green because when the green leaves of trees become old it becomes that colour and I guess, old is seen as fresh in some point 😅

Those Ohuhu Brush Markers are nice. I only own like 6 Copics, the Ohuhu, and a few Artist's Loft ones (I think like 19?), thr Ohuhu ones are way better than the Artist's Loft ones.

Hi!! I was wondering have you ever thought about using a felting kit and maybe make blub fish, then you can have a real life blub waffle mascot. I have trouble with the length and where to place it so it looks normal
I have but one thing to offer that could help. Look at pictures flip them upside down and draw what you see, not what you want to see. By flipping it upside down it helps you really look and not interpret as much.
And please how to draw a hair and eyes It’s really hard for me😅
Use references, pictures, photos and stuff they help y'know

I think it was Emily Artful who did a "style" tutorial, but she recommended printing stock photos of people and try tracing for a bit for practice and toying around with how you want to draw things but get a more realistic effect. She said once you do it for a while, your mind gets a better idea of how to do proportions as like a memory. But reference pictures are great even without tracing. I also like to do multiple drawings and sketches if I dont like something so that I can compare them and see why.

I drew bunny slippers on a punk/rocker chick the other day... Still chuckle to myself when I look at it.
Most of my characters are barefoot, this is the problem i face and it annoys me when i look at them and they have no shoes and I wish they did but i forget to put them there.

@@drawingwiffwaffles I have a question, so I'm a pretty good Sketcher myself and my parents want to get me better art supplies but they want to know what's best. So what are the best pencils? Sometimes my pencils draw to light or to dark. I already am getting Ohuhu markers I just need pencils I have everything else.
@@simplybrylee1360 @CupcakePlayz I'm really not familiar with pencils. They aren't my favorite medium so I kind of avoid them? The only ones I use are Col-Erase for sketching. but they probably are not the best for actually coloring. Sorry I couldn't be more help! 💜

I use soft pencils so if I need to erase I can for example the legs. I usually use a fine point sharpie for outline then erase the pencil anyways so thank you! Buy them from Amazon and ship for free. Make sure it’s fulfilled by Amazon and not an unfamiliar 3rd party who charges extra $$. Ohuhu is what’s hot right now. They’re releasing their 72 brush set tomorrow!

i would not recommend these markers. i'm really sure the markers themselves are actually private labeled, and i have the same markers at home from a different brand that sold them for way cheaper (flying tiger). the box they come in is pretty cool, yeah, but i don't feel like it justifies the price. and the nibs are very brittle, too! personally, i would opt for ohuhu markers. they've served me very well, the colors are much better (in my opinion) and it's cheaper :) hope i could help a bit!

The character turned out great by the way. (You may have created an illo spokesperson lol)
Here is a little behind the scenes about the illo HUE Markers. We did decide to leave out the black marker. In art school they teach students to never use black when painting because it immediately flattens your painting, and we figured artists could mix some of the darker colors to make a rich black. (Just as you mentioned:) ) The square barrel was chosen for better grip in your hand and on the table, plus we sort of like squares if you’ve noticed ;)
The case was one of the features that we thought would set us apart, we’re interested to see how important keeping your markers organized is to artists (I’m personally a little OCD)
We’re super excited to keep making these better and better with all of your feedback. More pastel colors was definitely noted :)

can i ask how you deal with the marker bleed through? the illo book bleeds so badly for me
I don't have a problem with bleeding unless I really layer my markers (bleeding is when the ink transfers onto the next page underneath the page you are working on). I do have a serious Shadowing problem. which is when you see the marker on the back side of the page. I usually either ignore it and draw on top of that, or skip that page.

I think what I really admire about Rin is just how well she knows her medium. She knows all the tricks and tips to know about markers and it really makes her art something else
