Thanks for posting an update video! We were glad to help out and yes you may of paid retail but we do stand behind our machines if there is a major problem, we will make it right, that's why you are paying retail. They machine was checked out originally by an ex employee who we had let go right after he looked at that machine. But that is not your problem, at the end of the day its our name on the line and that's why we made it right with you. I would also like to note that this is an 8,000 hour dozer and not the normal low hour ones we sell. Yes I agree Deere needs to let go of the software to work on these machines. They are getting older now and it doesn't justify paying a dealer or a field tech to come out and fix. Normally the people buying these older machines have some mechanical knowledge and could do some of the testing and calibrating there selves if they could get the software. I am actually making a video today on how to calibrate the transmission on a Deere dozer so hopefully other people can do it. Thanks for feedback.
Thanks for everything Clint and team you guys do business the way to should be done and very Appreciative of that. Would highly recommend you to anyone.
Good comment Clint. However, Mike as a retail purchaser WAS the recipient of the shoddy PDI (pre-delivery inspection) done by C&C Equipment. Even though your shop manager should have caught, some of the issues, he didn't. And, you are the end of the line of any problems. Best stop being complacent & more active... as you have shown!
C&C Equipment definitely has shown their character of what they will do when things do not go as planned. I highly commend them on doing the right thing as soon as they found out about it. It says a lot. This video puts the timeline in perspective of when who found out about what. Thanks DP
It's great to see others talking about the right to repair. One thing we can all do is call and email state and federal representatives, let them know that this is important to you. With mid-term elections coming up, if you get the chance go to a rally or town hall meeting and ask them about it in person.
Right to repair is a huge deal. These RUclipsrs have an amazing platform to reach people about right to repair and the rpm act. Would love to see more advocacy before this way of life is taken away.
I had never heard the term "right to repair" until this week in a news article. I don't know if the State of Maine or the Federal government are looking at it but someone is talking about it. Again, I had never heard about it before. I'm an old carpenter not an equipment owner.
Let's be fair; incompetent owner/repairmen can screw up pieces of equipment far worse than ever happens "naturally" (originally). (Mustie1 "Other shop gave up" ruclips.net/video/ZpbShk6fMco/видео.html ) That said, many repair services/shops are just as incompetent! (See Car Wizard "How did the Dealer miss this?" ruclips.net/video/jCRd2jkp5Mg/видео.html ) You should have access to what you need to repair your own equipment!! The solution to the problem of botched repairs should NOT be that only the agents of the manufacturers can repair them! The solution should be that the necessary information to do a repair properly is made widely known. Software, a major source of problems, already does this with open source software. Lots of folks get to see the code and fix it as well as neaten it up and make it more understandable, even if only by comprehensive comments embedded with the code.
It's great to finally see youtubers like to help push "right to repair" especially since many in the US government are in the pockets of big corporations and not willing to allow farmers, Big equipment operators all the way down to phone repair shops fix anything. It is more like you are paying for items for a long term lease and can only pay the same company to repair the item instead of outright owning it and being able to fix yourself
Mike, thanks for the honesty of the problems with the 850J, and giving credit to C&C for them standing behind their business to keep the reputation as decent dealers.
@@SandBoxJohn yes I have known about him for a long time, but I would like to add it was farmers that got the "right to repair" started long before Lewis was in
I was stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany working on the Air Force Vehicle Fleet. We had a ton of BlueBird and Thomas busses with Caterpillar engines. Every time there was an engine issue, we had to park it and have Fleet Management coordinate a contract for a Caterpillar Dealer Technician to come out to troubleshoot and repair. On average, the vehicle was down between 3-6 months. Caterpillar would NOT provide the test equipment and tools to do the repairs ourselves. They did offer to train some of our technicians at the governments expense (about three times more than a non-government student). They would only train a government technician who would be assigned to the shop for at least 10 years and ONLY that technician can use the equipment and tools. Not feasible with the military technicians since we move and deploy often. The local civilians contracted to work with us tend to stay much longer, but none of them wanted to be responsible for the equipment and maintenance unless their contracts were amended to include the special duties as well as an increase in pay for those special duties. I don't blame them. They deserve to get paid for what they do. Anything extra is required to be added to their contracts and paid appropriately. But our local leadership didn't want to do it. Needless to say, all this BS was up channeled to the pentagon and a recommendation to utilize LOCAL vehicles would be cheaper and easier to maintain. Costs would be about 60% less. Unfortunately, the Pentagon will only honor its current contracts with the long time Big Corporations and feels that changing contracts would be catastrophic for the relationships with those companies. In other words, those we rely on to ensure we can do our mission cared more about their backdoor deals and reach arounds. So, our busses continued to sit for up to half a year for a 2-3 hour test and repair service at an astronomical cost that siphons too much of our annual maintenance budget. The newer the vehicles get, the more complicated they are to work on and the less WE are able to do without the manufacturer. Not exactly the type of equipment we want to utilize in a wartime situation or peace time emergencies.
There are a lot more theses days fighting the big manufacturer to let the farmers and other service tech into the computers. This was the same when cars starting to have more computers they didn't want the small guys to be able to service the cars but ended up losing that battle. The same is happening AG an heavy equipment. Why should you be down for 8 to 24 hours for a fix that take 15 minutes that most mechanic can do them self. People are really fighting for right to repair. They understand they don't want them to be able to do everything but to do the basic stuff there shouldn't be a problem.
The computers and emissions are the biggest troubles with newer equipment. Had to change a heater control valve on a tractor. We done it and still didn’t work. Called a friend that’s a dealer tech. He said has to have the part number installed in the computer to work. So had to dig old one from scrap which was still on top and they had to come out and do the computer gig. Service call fee then the mileage and then a computer fee added up to like $500 to simply change numbers in the computer to make it work. He wasn’t there 10 minutes to complete it.
Ye that's just thievery Kenny. It also puts independent mechanics out of business so should be called out under restraint of trade if you have anything like that in the USA.
agreed , every new vehicle manufacturer does the exact same thing, biggest example with almost all new vehicles going to drive by wire when one goes, it is the same procedure, buy the part yourself , then install and the same code comes up on the dash, so you book the appt , take it in and the put in the new serial # of the part and its get programmed and then the ECU gets updated its does a test, and the you get the green check mark on the test equipment and away you go, so the part was $1200.00 and the programming is 1 hr equals another 130.00/hr and taxes = $1500.00 and then they tell you next time just buy it we program it for you and you take it home and change it yourself using a 3 or 4 mm allen wrench, 😎
Am remembering that this machine was turned in on the other 850J C & C had. They had gone through the whole machine and rebuilt it. That was smart on your behalf to turn this one in. Sometimes, machines are just continually problematic. The 2nd 850J doesn't seem to have as many problems even though you've worked it beyond normal hours, what with all the field tile you've plowed in, boulders contended with. mud so thick an excavator has helped drag it along..........Thankful the relationship between C & C and Dirt Perfect is now a strong bond and a 2 way street. And "Clint" is on speed dial in you phone! Loved you comparing the J to the B. The cab and less noise on the J win me over though Jerry may think differently, HA!
I agree! When they sell the equipment they charge us for every part. If we own every part, we should have access to every part. Fairly simple, until lawyers and politics get involved. None of which are bought with the equipment. Great video and salute to C&C equipment! 🇺🇸💪
Hey Mr. Dirt, Your in-depth explanation of the 'j' issues certainly filled in many gaps! Much appreciated! Looking forward to your next project. Stay safe. Jim in Phoenix.
Hey there Mike, look up something called Right to Repair. It's a Bill that is trying to go through the govt. that would allow people to work on the electronics of their machine. It is also in the electronics industry that would allow second parties to repair certain brands of electronic devices. This is really an oversimplification but if you look it up you'd be able to see what it would allow end users to do. Farmers, independent mobile equipment mechanics , etc. would be allowed to access to the software allow them to work on the machines electronics without having to get a dealer service call.
To C&C Equipment: You guys are absolutely awesome! I subscribed to your channel specifically for the way you helped Mike. As a real old fart, it is good for me to see old fashion honesty and integrity still exist in this world. I have the same opinion about Mr. DP Mike, I am glad you two are working together. Thank you all!
Right the repair is a big thing I'm glad you're on the side of the Angels. They also log your operator data and use that to improve their machines and then make them more automated to get rid of you. On my new cat excavator I had them disconnect The Cellular connection so they can't steal my operation data.
Hey Mike, great synopsis of events, and I’m glad you got the assistance you did. The proprietary position JD has taken has a lot of resistance from many owners. Thanks, John
Thanks Mike, you did a great job catching everyone up on the dozer situation. The older I got ,the more I appreciated the newer and more operator friendly equipment. I sat on old stuff for 8 - 12 hours a day, once I hit 50, I could tell it wasn't very enjoyable. The newer was much better. Thanks for carrying us along. 🇺🇸
MIKE - DP - you have been known to talk AFTER you've done your homework based on FACTS and that's why you're loved in the business. You share your problems BUT share the why involved. This one was well over the top and thank you! I'll go so far as to say to C&C, good job for MIKE - AND - I don't believe you did it SOLELY for the bad press on RUclips but rather TRULY who you are - CLINT & C&C. Thank you (all) Sonny
I really enjoyed this video. While I understand the You Tube dynamics, most videos are a bit superficial. This is why I enjoyed this video and enjoy this channel. Mike presents an issue (not the Microsoft coined "issue") and then proceeds to demonstrate it, explain it and solve it for us. This is really interesting. This is a "worth your time" video on a "worth your time", inoffensive channel. Thank you!
Glad you and C & C Equipment got things worked out. Interesting perspectives between the two dozers. I’ve operated the 700 k and 750 xlt dozer but never the 850 B or J and I like John Deere. Thanks for sharing
Great explanation of your time line with the new dozer. Clint and crew really did a great job taking care of your problems. This is the kind of dealer that gets the great word of mouth advertising that most dealerships only dream of. I have since subscribed to his channel and enjoy his repair work. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for the info on the 850J. Hopefully it's done with all the headaches. At least on the unsuspecting ones.. it's really surprising that both dozers are so similar but yet so different. Now we know why Jerry doesn't want to give up on the 850B 🤣
Excellent video Mike. Great to see cooperation between you Mike and Clint to resolve these issues. Also Mike in explaining the differences in the 850B and 850J.
Great explanation on the dozer differences. Glad to see both you and C &C didn’t get “petty” with each other and worked the problems out. I’ve viewed their channel and they are a cool couple of guys and not your typical “used car salesmen”. Back to the dozer differences, blade shapes & geometry dictates the type of work they’re suited for. I’m “old school” and like the term KISS (keep it simple stupid) as for as electronics vs mechanical operations. Never did like newer equipment using DEF fluids and will never buy one that uses it. At 65 any equipment I would use would outlast me! Sorry for the younger business owners that won’t be able fix their own equipment because of the greed of equipment manufacturing companies. When you purchase new equipment and have to go back to dealer for repairs, you’re actually renting it for life, not buying it. Thanks for keeping it real!!!
Thanks for giving us a update about the on the equipment love your channel I am retired I used to Weld on big Equipment keep it up l have seen most all your vietos Bean from Va
Thanks for the video DP. It is not just heavy equipment and Deere that will not release their computer stuff. This is an issue with all makes and the Agricultural models also. Just think what it would cost if the dealer was the only one that could work on your car. That is what Farmers and Equipment owners are facing. Thanks to C&C Equipment for taking care of our friend, You guys are top notch in my book. I know a lot of used equipment dealers would of said as is and not done anything to help. Those bad dealers give good dealers a bad name also.
The C&C channel is quite interesting and entertaining with everything from rebuilding an engine to the Crown Vic races. Seem really knowledgeable about everything related to heavy equipment and have a well equipped shop with nice tools.
Like the logo stickers. Man, you and the seller have been Hell with this machine, but in the end, it works, patience prevailed, that's a good thing. Thanks for the clarification, good video.
Thanks for the explanation to what transpired with the “J”, and you are right on the right to repair, the only way those machines make money is if they are moving and the other thing on the cost of what I call the soft cost, that’s the operator, the operator on a machine that’s not working properly or broke completely broke down, cost or adds to the cost of the job not to mention the frustration. You mentioned the cost of the machine, then add in the operator, fuel, maintenance, and insurance( which is flat rate so to speak, running or setting it cost the same), then you have transport cost job to job, and on and on it goes. More to this than just seeing a machine rolling dirt. C&C worked to get the customer producing and resolved issues to best of their abilities, profit needs to take a back seat to a customer’s satisfaction, because a satisfied customer will come back, service first, money second.Thank you young man appreciate your update.👍
As we are aware the original add by C&C said the dozer was in good shape. Turned out the technician who checked the machine was fired shortly after he had checked machine. With the price of the machine it has to work hard to pay for itself. Hope it continues to provide you excellent service. Running a business is a demanding job. Keep up the good job.
Dirt Perfect up the whole fleet boss👌 Mike your the only guy I don't miss a video from you and your crew r just some real, humble, hard working honest men just like some of us up here in VT. Thank you so much for taking the time to do these films on top of running a awesome business and being a great Dad and husband.
That's why I hate new Equipment. All the computer crap. No access to the system and the dealers wanna rake you over the coals, financially, for repairs. I had a situation where I bought a piece of used equipment, and a section of the Hydraulic valve assembly was bad. The company wouldn't stand behind there claim that it was 100% and ready to work . They basically ignored all my phone calls and emails. Cost me $3,000.00 to fix the problem. The first piece of equipment I bought from this company has never given me a problem, but I'm sure if I had, they wouldn't have remedied the problem. Great video, Mike!!
Clint from C & C sounds like a legit kind of guy who went the distance to satisfy his customer. That means everything for return customers and a growing business. The problem you explained about the manufacturers locking out equipment owners to make adjustments is the same problems that farmers globally have fought and eventually won in a major court battle. The manufacturers tried to stop farmers from using their computers with hack software to make changes to their heavy farm equipment. It will take the heavy equipment owners collectively coming together and filing a class action like the farmers did to take control of the equipment you own, thus removing the manufacturers from holding you hostage on your own equipment. Just Saying Mike….
I enjoy your videos so much. Your personality is so pleasant to listen to. Especially during a time when things are so f**ked up in the world today. I want to start operating heavy equipment so much, however, just can't find a job. I know a lot of it has to do with my age. Oh well, I can keep looking and hoping. After 37 years of driving rigs, I'm DONE!!! Be safe.
Michael it's all about supply and demand. They demand you to supply them with your money to work on your computer on your machine. I agree, there should be a class action suit started against all manufacturers who will not allow owners access to the ECM on equipment purchased.
Mike I can say that your honest and give an honest opinion no matter whose feelings get hurt, but you also admit when your wrong, kudos to C&C for making it right it takes alot as a company to admit when you have a problem and to take the steps to fix the problem.
I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say, thank you for the update and explaining the issues. C&C stepped up and took care of the issues even though I assume you purchased the dozer "As Is". Great video Michael.
Great video DP!! Glad you and Clint were able to get the 850J's problems worked out. Now you have to talk Clint into letting you use the 1050K. Think Jerry would fall in love with that beast!
Hello DP Your videos are very good, I've been watching all of your videos for a few months now. Today's November 4th, 2021 is the best I've seen of you. What impressed me the most was that you apologized to C&C Equipment in this video for the video you made when you first talked about your new acquisition and all the problems that came up. Now they should. who attacked C&C like wild animals and gave you a hard time, sorry to C&C (my opinion) As you can now find out for yourself, the medium video and RUclips are a powerful tool to judge someone without them knowing the background. Keep up the good work and don't let yourself be dissuaded from being successful. Matt from SEFI
Wow! It is starting to sound like the list of stuff you didn't need to replace/fix is shorter than what you did have to deal with. I agree that C&C has acted as a responsible used equipment dealer and it was lucky that you bought from them.
C and C equipment sounds like a awesome company to deal with , i can assure you that I have not got that kind of service on used equipment in AL,,, you bought it now it's yours is the norm around here, shout out to C and C for being there for you;;;;;;;
Let’s hope all the issues are done with nice to see c&c step up seems like you have them in your corner maybe they can find you a awesome skid steer thanks for taking the time to talk and update us new stickers ( logo ) looks great wells done Mr DP a hay from Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦 big Al
Hmmmmm... As someone who has taken many engines and equipment apart and repaired and rebuilt them, I would like to know if your crew has found any locations of the Discombobulator Valves yet? 🤣🤣 I also agree that owners and personal mechanics should have access to all the data and settings for the equipment they own/service! Stay Healthy and Safe and clean the windows and shop! LOL 🤣🤣
You have to speak up. We all need to. This isn't just your problem or Chris' problem. It is OUR problem. One voice is like a falling leaf. Doesn't make a difference, usually, but a bunch of them falling at one time gets attention. And may I add, you are an excellent teacher. Thanks.
If I were in the business and in your area, I would most definitely not hesitate to do business with a company like C&C. I don't believe for one moment that them stepping up has anything to do with the RUclips videos. Thanks very much for summarizing the various issues, a used piece of equipment always brings some level of risk. As C&C indicated they had some issues with employees. I have owned several businesses and understand the issues. For employees, it isn't their money, the business isn't going to going to make or break them, but we have no choice but to put faith that they are performing as we hope. Sadly, this is not always the case and not the owners fault, unless they do nothing about it. I would say that C&C most definitely stepped up to the plate.
Mikey…. That was a mouthful!!! You did a rather darn nice job of chronicling who knew what and when… the real story was who did what and when! And, I must say, C&C certainly did an upstanding job… after all, you bought it ‘used as-is’. My local John Deere dealer paid a lot less attention to my issues on the brand new ‘under warranty’ problems that I had on my Gator… Buy something else from them when the time is right…. They deserve it!!!!
I have seen farmers dealing with this for a while now. I thought there was some sort of right to repair lawsuit a few years ago that has opened up the ability to have other service reps be able to recalibrate in stead of having to go to John Deere direct. Worth looking into. Good luck
I hope you've finally gotten the issues with this dozer settled out. I've been watching C&C videos on You tube and they seem like they're a good company. I would probably buy something from them if I needed to purchase a piece of heavy equipment.
Thanks for talking about the over heating issues. My next move was to remove the radiator even though I have cleaned it inside and out. Probably same issue with mine. With those stacked in there it is almost impossible to get to every part of it. Thanks for sharing.
There is one new (to me) fact coming out in this video, that may explain a lot. The 850 J spent the first 8ooo working hours in a coal mine and exposed to crystalline silica dust. Coal dust is electrically conductive and over time can complicate a machines electronics. I'm a retired Paramedic and not a Mechanic but as I listened to Mike reviewing the issues, I thought coal dust was worth mentioning. Cheers from Canada.
Mike, I can't blame you feeling the way that you do about the EGR, being able to set it up with the computer yourself. I have repaired appliances for years and if the makers had to go out here and repair some stuff, they would design them different on some things. So I know a little bit about what your talking about. As much as a piece of equipment like the 850J costs an owner should be able to do that stuff theirself. Your 850B is like a dozer that I ran for a couple days, years ago and I really liked the way that the dozer operator . They are nice dozers and we sure know that Jerry knows that don't we. Another great video, see you later. As always, Jeffrey !!!
Thanks for updates, good on C & C for standing behind the machine. You will never know a used machines history, some people aren't big enough to tell the truth about it, they just want it gone, or as in this case, it's been owned by a organisation ,so the management May never been e aware of issues. Hast the law been changed by the DOT, that EGR issues can be legally overridden, because of supply issues . All John Deere has to do is issue you with the program to go in and sort issues and calibrate, it they value their customers and repeat purchase ethos, they would. Cheers
Mad Props to C&C. Communication is vital when it comes to great service. Happy to see everything worked out as it did. The proprietary programming thing also gets under my skin. I have observed this updating equipment on airplanes. We have our Einstein politicians in DC to thank for their endless wisdom. There is no rational reason an owner can't connect a laptop and perform maintenance or repairs. It's all about who owns the software and how it's used. The politicians would have you think they have your best interest. They Do Not. Cheers from Louisiana.
If I had a business, I would have the company name, website and all contact information on all of the equipment.....along with the RUclips channel as you did. Agree about "right to repair". Nice summary. on the 850. Glad it all worked out. But, as is, is as is. While the RUclips channel no doubt helped, seller had no obligation to do anything so kudos to C&C.
Still waiting for Kubota to make it "right" for you....in 3-2-1. lol. I purchased a deere 35-g with - about 600 hours on it- from a friend a few months ago. His son-in law (who is a Deere mechanic) was maintaining it for him. It had no primary air filter ( which was inexcusable!), 500 hour service obviously not completed, grease zirks on boom not taking grease, etc....none of which disclosed. I believe he really didn't know to be honest. Luckily no issues with fuel, oil or engine, so I caught it all in time. Definitely a teaching moment for me to look over equipment more thoroughly when I buy (even from a friend), and always, ALWAYS, do a post-purchase service. I also mentioned he may want to have a talk with his son-in-law. People generally have good intent- but the term "trust but verify" is a saying for a reason. Good on C&C for making it right. Enjoy the channel.
C & C did fair honest business once you let them know the issues. i agree with your assessment. and they went a bit beyond, but that is what makes people want to buy from a company. oh yeah, those fellows can look themselves in the face in the mirror for sure.
Mike just like you say you're a good month behind in posting videos? I'm a good year behind in viewing. Believe me when I say, your job is extremely harder than mine lol !! Mike your knowledge is Amazing !!! And fun for us to see your mind and trouble shooting work. Brother we might not be working on an 850J ? But the things you teach ? Cross over to Many other projects !! Thank You For Sharing Your Knowledge !!!
Out on the west coast and farther north, we have names on nearly all equipment and so yes putting your sticker on your equipment makes great sense. I hope that you do it on all the equipment including the service truck.
So maybe the cylinders weren't the only problem with the blades, but at least I was right in that they replaced them. Without seeing the hydraulic schematic, and not being a heavy equipment mechanic, and not seeing the bad oil, I would've had no knowledge of the Fast Down valve. I'm glad C&C stood behind their work and machine. I'd have no problem doing business with them. Honest mechanics are GOLD!! We all know that. I strive to be the best mechanic I can be. Hopefully that beautiful dozer is fixed and ready to push Dirt Perfect!!
hey mike, love the video showing the operation of the dozers. also the update on the repairs to the machine. where is the ripper on the 850J ????? we know you got it on there. LOL Keep up the great work. minus 15 degrees and snow up here in Ontario Canada right now
I'm sure you are aware of this: regarding your decelerator pedal on the 850J, you have a toggle switch on the dash as well as settings available to you 'on screen' to vary the function of the pedal. In 'engine' mode, the decel pedal reduces engine rpm when depressed. Engine rpms and transmission speed will be reduced so there there is power loss as the engine slows--much like operating older dozers. In 'transmission' mode the transmission speed is reduced when you depress the pedal, but the engine rpms do NOT change. In 'transmission' mode you essentially have a varialbe speed controller or inching pedal without the loss of any machine power. This 'transmission' mode is my preferred setting and I rarely use the decel pedal as there isn't even the necessity to use the pedal when going from forward to reverse (the computer handles the inertial moment and the settings are adjustable). In either mode, the pedal functions as a full stop ****OH SH**#T***** pedal when fully depressed. You have a hydrostatic machine and all hydraulic machine functions so it is to your benefit to keep all those pumps maximized by maintaining the engine rpms. Anyways, nice video as always
I’m glad to see this video i didn’t know what really happened Cause C~C Equipment is a great company but i heard bits and pieces know i know but if you bought it as is i understand why you didn’t get a hold of them right away but when more issues kept happening you should have got a hold of Jay it must have been kinda bad when Jay got a hold of you i think communication is a must in any situation good or bad both you guys are darn good people glad it worked out and I’m glad to see this video and it helped a-lot 👍😎🇺🇸NY
DP good review on the new dozer in comparison to the old one I hope now with all the problem solved they give you some good service stay safe God bless
The fact they fixed anything that was sold as is I’m amazed I have a brand new cat 306’ has had many issues cat has not been helpful at all and it’s under warranty. Love the channel and thanks for the update glad to here c&c is a reputable company maybe I should tell caterpillar to go stuff there selfs and go talk to c&c
@@DirtPerfectJust know we know the pain equipment these days isn’t the same I have a old John Deere 1010 dozer from the 60s it has been more reliable then my cat d4 any day of the week my kubota sl95 utter junk and caterpillars new excavators ...need to do a reboot and go back to mechanical parts on equipment. This new emissions crap and electronics it’s a joke.
Ive been operating equipment sense I was 16 years old. Ive operated alot of different types of machinesand sizes , CAT, Komastu, John Deere, Terex and so on. I have to say John Deere, in my opion is the best dozer As Far as pushing and Steep hill climbing and ease of operating and grading winching in certain applications, and the 850 Series are a Great Dozer.for all it. The 850 K LGP with a 6 way blade is a Absolute Bull/ Billygoats..As fad as clean up and Climbing abilities The 850K LGP. Is an awesome machine for it.Now working around tight spaces cleaning up the 450 , 700, are great for that. What Im trying to say is John Deere really came a long way. Now this is all PRE DEF Systems. I would much rather operate a John Deere then any other. But thats my Preference. I think you will be really happy with the 850 J. And if You ever get an opportunity to operate a 850 K LGP with the 6 way blade. Do it for sure. Youll understand what Im saying. The DEF systems are all JUNK and useless and just another money grabbing bullshit like the EGR valves are. And its bullshit that an owner of the Equipment cant go in and Change things in the computer to set stuff up. They are All the same way when it comes to that and it needs TOO CHANGE. Well enough ranting and babbling. Great review and video. Thanks for sharing..
Great video Michael honestly telling your side of the story and saying you should have called about the problems and nice of C&C to make it right on their end and if you have bigger stickers made I would buy a couple in a heartbeat if you decide to sell them hello from northeast Georgia
Well the new iron is nice to spend 10 hours in but they just dont make them like they use too. I have spent thousands of dollars after thousand of dollars keeping my old iron runing and i still come out on top. Love the videos and keep them going.
Another thing to remember this was a military machine and the military never knows where this machine will be sent or how it will be used for so many things are over thought for the private sector!! So great luck and you guys stay great and havefun!
You guys did some serious work to make things right and that's a sign of a great shop. Thumbs up to you guys !
@@DirtPerfect There are groups that are fighting for the right to repair. This one of them- ruclips.net/video/cjCmrPuLyhQ/видео.html
Thanks DP
Right to repair is a big issue world wide. Louis Rossmann on here fixes electronics but is a big right to repair advocate, worth a look.
I second this, Louis is pushing hard to get States to pass right to repair laws not just for household electronics but for all industries.
(Mustie1 "Other shop gave up" ruclips.net/video/ZpbShk6fMco/видео.html )
That said, many repair services/shops are just as incompetent!
RUclipsr Louis Rossmann has been routinely bitching right to repair for quite sometime:

Thanks Jim
Communication is always key, I'm just glad it's fixed. Stay safe.
They are awesome for sure
That was a very informative video thank you for taking the time to explain
MAN BEHIND THE SCENES still rocks 🪨
MIKE - DP - you have been known to talk AFTER you've done your homework based on FACTS and that's why you're loved in the business. You share your problems BUT share the why involved. This one was well over the top and thank you! I'll go so far as to say to C&C, good job for MIKE - AND - I don't believe you did it SOLELY for the bad press on RUclips but rather TRULY who you are - CLINT & C&C. Thank you (all) Sonny
Thanks Sonny Appreciate that
I really enjoyed this video.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing and thank you C&C for fixing his problems it says a lot about A company who is willing to go the extra mile which you did
Glad you and C & C Equipment got things worked out.
I agree
Thanks for the info on the 850J. Hopefully it's done with all the headaches. At least on the unsuspecting ones.. it's really surprising that both dozers are so similar but yet so different. Now we know why Jerry doesn't want to give up on the 850B 🤣
its a much better explanation of the machine and the timing over the last several months Thanks
Excellent video Mike. Great to see cooperation between you Mike and Clint to resolve these issues. Also Mike in explaining the differences in the 850B and 850J.
Thanks
Thanks buddy
Have to say one of your best videos, well presented and very well said. Lovely to see this day and age. Thank you DP
Thanks
Dirt Perfect up the whole fleet boss👌 Mike your the only guy I don't miss a video from you and your crew r just some real, humble, hard working honest men just like some of us up here in VT. Thank you so much for taking the time to do these films on top of running a awesome business and being a great Dad and husband.
Thanks Matthew appreciate that
That's why I hate new Equipment.
I agree thanks
This was a enjoyable video. I appreciated your explanations of your dealings with C & C and how each dozer differs.
Glad to see things are working out. Big shout out to Clint at C&C equipment
Hello DP
Your videos are very good, I've been watching all of your videos for a few months now.
C and C equipment sounds like a awesome company to deal with , i can assure you that I have not got that kind of service on used equipment in AL,,, you bought it now it's yours is the norm around here, shout out to C and C for being there for you;;;;;;;
Mike great video, you’re setting the record straight with C&C they seem like great guys! Thanks for sharing. Kevin
I started watching your channel after seeing you on Let's Dig 18. Good content!! I have enjoyed watching you and Jerry!
Thanks appreciate that
Hmmmmm... As someone who has taken many engines and equipment apart and repaired and rebuilt them,
I would like to know if your crew has found any locations of the Discombobulator Valves yet? 🤣🤣
I also agree that owners and personal mechanics should have access to all the data and settings for the equipment they own/service!
Stay Healthy and Safe and clean the windows and shop! LOL 🤣🤣
I like it simple anything watch c.c. Your dirt perfect example of good clean family shows you guys work your tails off I learned a lot from youal
Thanks
Everything runs and cycles and I'm glad things are going your way finally and the green machine is functioning perfectly
Great video, Mike. Excellent cooperation between you, Mike the buyer, and Clint , the seller making the machine right.
That was outstanding service from the auction company, kudos to them Thanks for sharing!
You have to speak up. We all need to. This isn't just your problem or Chris' problem. It is OUR problem. One voice is like a falling leaf. Doesn't make a difference, usually, but a bunch of them falling at one time gets attention. And may I add, you are an excellent teacher. Thanks.
Thanks
They are awesome
Mikey…. That was a mouthful!!!
You did a rather darn nice job of chronicling who knew what and when… the real story was who did what and when!
And, I must say, C&C certainly did an upstanding job… after all, you bought it ‘used as-is’. My local John Deere dealer paid a lot less attention to my issues on the brand new ‘under warranty’ problems that I had on my Gator…
Buy something else from them when the time is right….
My phone changed the word.
It should have said , the way that the dozer ( operated ).
Lol thanks buddy
Yes awesome company check out his channel
Love you guys, dirt perfect and c and c I'm glad it worked out
Love the green one .glad they made it right . Glad your happy with it.
Who knew pushing dirt around could be so complicated? Thanks for sharing!
Lol
C & C did fair honest business once you let them know the issues. i agree with your assessment. and they went a bit beyond, but that is what makes people want to buy from a company. oh yeah, those fellows can look themselves in the face in the mirror for sure.
Great video. Texas Dan. Add cameras for blade view and stick up rods at edges of blade. .
Look forward to your next pond project bro, good video by the way. Safe travels up your way
Thanks buddy
Great video and thank you for sharing, im 62 and i know which machine i would be operating.
Great to see things are working out. 👍
Need a LD18 decal on the Volvo to make it work better lol. Great video Mike
Nice job explaining all the problems with the dozer
Thanks
C & C is a stand-up company. Three Cheers for them doing the right thing after the sale.
Thank you for the updates Mike 👍
Now I have been shown how to operate both dozers, very much doubt I could use either one though!!!! 🤔🤣
hey mike, love the video showing the operation of the dozers. also the update on the repairs to the machine. where is the ripper on the 850J ?????
we know you got it on there. LOL
Keep up the great work. minus 15 degrees and snow up here in Ontario Canada right now
Thanks stay tuned
Yes have played with it some
Great job with the different camera angles!!!!
I’m glad to see this video i didn’t know what really happened Cause C~C Equipment is a great company but i heard bits and pieces know i know but if you bought it as is i understand why you didn’t get a hold of them right away but when more issues kept happening you should have got a hold of Jay it must have been kinda bad when Jay got a hold of you i think communication is a must in any situation good or bad both you guys are darn good people glad it worked out and I’m glad to see this video and it helped a-lot 👍😎🇺🇸NY
they certainly have done more then enough for a used piece of equipment lucky u have them
I agree
You maintain your equipment very well, I have a great respect for the from past experience. 👍
Thanks
The 120 deserves a dozen stickers and the old 850 as well. Ol faithfuls need the love
Great explanation of both machines hope the 850j serves you needs
Mike nice overall review of the 850J, like the review between cab controls too. 👍🇺🇸
Thanks
DP good review on the new dozer in comparison to the old one I hope now with all the problem solved they give you some good service stay safe God bless
Me to tanks
have fun and keep doing it the dirt!
Great video mike thanks for the updates and information
Nice looking machine hope it works out for you and all the bugs are worked out
Clint at C&C sure puts out good videos! I really believe that he is sharp on those bulldozers. I almost believe you need the Bigger Dozer he had.
Yes he is
The fact they fixed anything that was sold as is I’m amazed I have a brand new cat 306’ has had many issues cat has not been helpful at all and it’s under warranty. Love the channel and thanks for the update glad to here c&c is a reputable company maybe I should tell caterpillar to go stuff there selfs and go talk to c&c
Thanks Jon
@letsdig18 would probably suggest a decal to cover the counterweight scratches on the 140 lol.
Wow ! Now I know how to run a dozer just enough to either smash something or hurt myself. Lol Great video!
Lol
He would have to show me the starting sequence. The master switch and such. Very informative and interesting to watch. Thanks Mike.
Great video Michael honestly telling your side of the story and saying you should have called about the problems and nice of C&C to make it right on their end and if you have bigger stickers made I would buy a couple in a heartbeat if you decide to sell them hello from northeast Georgia
Using the word "EVENTFUL" is an understatement of the problems with that dozer! If you are now Happy, that's all that matters!!!
Well the new iron is nice to spend 10 hours in but they just dont make them like they use too. I have spent thousands of dollars after thousand of dollars keeping my old iron runing and i still come out on top. Love the videos and keep them going.
Yes I love old iron
Another thing to remember this was a military machine and the military never knows where this machine will be sent or how it will be used for so many things are over thought for the private sector!! So great luck and you guys stay great and havefun!
