My major complaint was with the Guarma mission/chapter it was a wasted opportunity in my opinion, instead of being stranded in Guarma they should’ve landed in Mexico then had to work their way through Mexico into New Austin so Morgan can actually explore the two districts while building on the established lore in Mexico with Bill/Javier and maybe run into Landon Ricketts or Red Harlow?
I just wish they would find a way to make Red Dead Revolver actually part of the story versus all but ignoring it as if it never happened. I mean, R* pretty much only bought Revolver from Capcom just so they could eventually do their own GTA meets the Old West which they have with Redemption 1 and 2 but still.
@@alucard624 my favourite theory is that Red Dead Revolver is essentially Uncle being an unreliable narrator for his younger years...
Red Harlow IS mentioned in both RDR and RDR2 so we can assume Revolver exists in some form, and in RDR2 Uncle says that he was known as "the one shot kid" in his youth, which is a nickname shared with Red himself...
It's just a fan theory, but it's a fun way to justify Revolver being canon as Uncles youth, just glorified beyond belief over countless retellings over the campfire, making it almost entirely fictional.
They failed on so many levels with this glorified horse riding simulator.
Uncle is Red Harlow
@@pauperslament3467 how?
Only thing I hate in RDR2 is someone running into me and I get charged with assault and then murder
It sounds like they put in a California "justice" system...
A you mean the Commiefornistan Just-Us system.. vile overly complex thing, that.
"Hey partner...ya gawt a laicense fer self defense ave ya? Na!? Well looks like we're gonna have ta shoot up tha whole town to bring you ta justice"
Can you infect people with HIV instead of shooting them to avoid the law?
The C-93 pistol is in this game
It can't be California, a semi auto handgun is available for purchase with no magazine embargos.
I haven't seen RPG vidya with a crime system that flatly says "you're a mass killer, go fuck yourself" since Morrowind.
I fought tooth and nail to keep bandit "my four legged best friend" alive through the whole game. From when I got her at the beginning of the game. So when they killed my horse at the last mission. I was so pissed i couldn't even see straight.
What breed was your horse? My first and second playthrough, I was all in on the Turkomans, but as time went on I started disliking how thin they were and how cowardly they were. At least in my experience. My third playthrough, I went with the Chocolate Roan Dutch Warmblood. I like it way more. It hurt when she died in chapter 6. Buell's technically better but I couldn't get over her.
......You put the Sabaton at the beginning to shut up everyone asking you about it, didn't you?
Considering the song's about WW2 pilots and RDR2 is about cowboys, yes.
@@thomaspunt2646 I can just picture him being like, "Okay I put a fucking Sabaton song in the intro, happy?" XD
But it was so unfitting tho...
He should've used Outlaw by ManowaR or Cowboy's Song by Thin Lizzy.
What was everyone asking about? I totally missed this.
The way I played this game with Arthur I did get a sense of redemption that I didn't get with John. John always ran from his past & he never escapes it. Where as Arthur accepts his past(pretty much has to) & decides to in someway atone for his sins without seeking forgiveness.
Anthony19byrne agree
Well John sorta did accept it..........at the very end of the game and arguably not for the right reasons.
That being said, I always saw John as a Nick Carraway sort of character. Well-written and well-characterized (albeit not if you chose to rob and shoot anything that moved), but essentially meant to be a personification of the player with a personality of his own, if that makes sense. Still liked him a lot, and I love the development he gets in this game, but I really do feel like I had a lot more control over how Arthur as a character unfolded.
Totally agree
Sins are a social construct that others like the society and it's sentiments impose upon us or we by desire to socially relate with their emotions impose the feeling of ie moral standard of upon ourselves. I am not convinced that there has been reality to the existence of any era's morality or "sins" committed against it outside of the final social estimation consensus worth judgement an era's living social group takes of a person's relations with them and life's work at their death. Who the fuck cares that a bunch of people stand around your grave and muse on if you were a "good" or "bad" person or not by their standards? They are as insignificant and random opinioned as every other human who has ever lived including the deceased.

Yet the main character agrees with the ideology.
@Raving Dave if you pay attention to the dialog you will see that the main character holds modern beliefs.
Hunter Gman, Arthur shares the opinions of the players because you can either choose to say that you agree with the feminism ideology, or you can say that feminism has always been a joke.
The button used to make friends and shop is also the same button used to aim your gun at a shop keepers head. Brilliant!

If you commit a minor crime and wait for the sheriff to come, and then hit the diffuse button you won't get a bounty put on you it's only if you run.
Sheriff? Yes
Police? No, I got a bounty of $10 for standing near a policeman but I didn't see him.
Saint Denis can kiss my ass.
I have never seen that diffuse option come up.

True. Works just about every time.
Razor gave everything in this review. The Good, the Bad and Ugly.
Some of the flaws in this game are Unforgiven though. Even then, I would buy single player DLC for a Fistful of Dollars tbh.
@@metalmugen Too bad R* said F you to any sort of single player DLC and decided to just keep pumping out their still broken AF online mode for RDR.
I stopped in the middle of a Styx video to watch this
Options are go watch RAZ0R talk about vidya games or the news. Sorry Styx.
That's admirable
So you stopped watching Styx to watch Metal Styx?
I contemplated stopping in the middle of a Styx video to watch this, it was a pretty close thing
So no difference then
Knowing Razor, I'm expecting a couple of minutes dedicated to the necessity and programming ingenuity of shrinking horse balls.
Mathmachine we were all disappointed here
It never really became a Western. It was more of an outlaw period piece.
So...a western.
@@ginge641 Well the thing about many Westerns is how historically inaccurate they are. While RDR2 was inspired more by real-life events and places than by Western films and TV shows. That is the difference.
Does Sabaton like you?
Normal reviews 😮 Rageaholic reviews 😎👌
Just one question: do you like Sabaton?
Who does not? Sabaton is great.

@@zuttoaragi8349 You're not XD I hope this doesn't make you lose your smile.
Brilliant. Though I was waiting for a joke regarding the "honor" system in which cold-blooded murder can be completely redeemed by saying hello to a couple of strangers and throwing a few bluegill back in the river.
Well considering how some serial killers can get fans and fan girls just by saying hello to them, to the point where they defend them, it might be closer to reality than we think.
This isn’t a joke though. Have you not heard of the charm offensive?? You must have an IQ in the negatives.
The wanted level system is by far the most broken part of an otherwise masterpiece of an experience.
You accidentally walk into someone, the entire town immediately starts shooting you, and you can’t defend yourself at all without a bounty.
Random Valentine citizen to Arthur: "Mornin' there, pardna'".
Arthur: "(In Bullet-ese)".
you gonna sling those pistols or whistle dixy.
I absolutely love RDR2 and it’s one of my favorite games this gen. But yeah, the crime system was way too sensitive and annoying. Btw, I love all the wrestling and TMNT references you put in your game reviews 😄

The justice system in the game is bulshit, i cannot tell you how many times i got mad as i helped people or was helping them and accidentally bump into them only for me to not gain a reward or simply fail a mission.
My favorite thing to do was Sprint into doors and break the glass so the patrons would gasp, but 50% of the time I would end up tackling an npc and getting assault
It’s an amazing game to get lost in.
I'm glad you also gave your Arthur a sick moustache. I feel like it suits him more than the Clint Eastwood style scruff.
Yeah, but can I nuke suffragettes or am I thinking of Fallout 76?
I dont think you can neither nuke the 2nd nor the 19th amendment.
Didn't nuking things crash the servers in Fallout 76? So I don't think you're thinking of that...
Rumour is that Fallout 76 is going free to play.
The game has a built in feature that shooting fat annoying cunts gets you permabanned from both the game and youtube.

Sabaton. A great band. We need more of them in USA. Got to see them last year and want to see them again.
This video should come with a warning for those with low testosterone levels that you may experience unexpected hair growth and/or a new set of testicles.

Thank You for including Mr Perfect in your video loved his Matches with Bret the Hitman Hart
This review is perfect in its accuracy and hilarity
I found Marston to be a more compelling character explicitly because he was more defined, it cast the story as a real tragic Western for me. Arthur Morgan can feel like he has multiple personalities with how he interacts with the gang and the rest of the world. Plus, sweet Jesus does Dutch piss me off.
Dutch pisses me off too because you can see through how fucking full shit he is with people and how manipulative he can be. It's sad that Arthur meets him and raised by him as a killer tbh.
Marston more compelling?? Bwahahaha
Just have some god damn faith.
Dutch was my favorite character. Arthur is such a pc white knight sometimes.

Razor, that synopsis at the end turned into gold when it was borderline cringe. Adding that one word at the end tied it all together. Well done.
I wonder if Razor likes Sabaton.
RDR2 review: Yes
Loving the Sabaton!!!!
First time I lost a horse to enemy fire in RDR2 I mutilated his corpse and dumped it in the nearest town square.
Better than Angry Joe
I think that gunshot at the end actually blew my brains out through my ears.
Your ending scene was begging for some Clint Eastwood impressions.
I enjoyed everything, even the intro in the mountains. My main issues were FPS drops in cities, inability to check pocket watch on horseback and it was too easy.
Razorfist, you're damn correct in that Fable has been a very influential series. And it's a damn fine thing, too.
This is the best thing I ever saw.
God Bless You for putting Sabaton in the intro
I hereby petition that Razorfist makes that hat a staple of his ranting outfit from now on.

I love the game. Traveling is a pain in the ass, but there are lots of things to do along the way.
I don't know about you but I always hated that whenever you're on your horse you always put your long arms away. I've been so used to them just being available in the last game that I've hopped off without my rifle and shotgun too many times to count.

Now if Rockstar could just try their hand at a Pirate game, I would die happy.
An actual good open world pirate game would be nice. Black Flag doesn't count even though it was fun in parts. I have zero faith Skull and Bones whenever that gets released will be any good at all.
