Erin, there are no words!! You are better than a travel show!! Your descriptions and pictures are truly amazing. Thank you so very much for taking us on this excursion with you. I felt like I was with you!!
Awe, thank you for mentioning the Mississippi Delta where I was born, raised, and graduated charm school❤thank you, Erin, for sharing your dream come to life😊
As a Capetonian (living in Texas) I thoroughly enjoyed going on safari with you but more so I felt truly “homesick”. It is such a magnificent city and I’m so glad you enjoyed it.
What a timely video for me! I'm leaving for Tanzania and Zanzibar on Tuesday. My girlfriend and I travel with Gate 1 Tours and always have fabulous experiences. This has been a bucket list trip for me since I was 22 years old and I'm now 71. I think I'm pretty set on the packing minus, packing too much. I have never traveled carry on only so this is going to be a real experience. I would love to take boots, but think I may need to stick with my Adidas and sandals. I have a down jacket I am thinking of leaving behind as well and just concentrate on layers. Loved your video and am ready to start packing!
Definitely a packing challenge! I'm so glad this was helpful as you start to pack for your bucket list trip!! Have the BEST time on your trip, Glenda! xo
Great suggestions! This video brought back so many memories our our safari in 2022! We were so grateful for layers. I never realized how cold it was in some parts of Africa. One of our camps put fur lined hot water bottles in our bed after dinner. So cozy! We also could not believe how close the animals were to us. The lack of bugs surprised us too! I sent our clothes to have them professionally treated for mosquitoes. Not necessary at all!😅
Thank you for sharing all of this! I have watched and re-watched this video. We are booked for next May, and excitement is already mounting! I bought the boots you wore, and am in the process of breaking them in. Odd but important question- what socks did you wear with them? Thanks again!
Thank you for visiting my continent ❤😊. I watched this video with so much nostalgia, excitement and emotions and I loved seeing home through your eyes. Africa is a beautiful continent and I am glad y’all had a great time there. Thank you Erin 🙏🏽🥹
Hi Erin, I’m from Namibia - and I’ve just returned from a trip to Chobe and Victoria falls. Loved it so much! And I loved listening to your comments! You looked wonderful on your travels! You should really try Namibia next time - it’s pristine, excellent infrastructure, real Africa and wonderful people!
Hello Erin, I so agree with you that hiking boots are ugly, and the sad thing is that there's no need for them to be ugly, it's just bad design. Same for wide-fitting shoes, they're usually ugly and not at all elegant but it's just poor design/taste. I grew up in Italy where shoes were a bit wider and had a nice comfy block heel (about 2/3 inches), and these were just normal shoes, not wide-fit; I still see these smart & comfortable shoes in London where I live but they're often by Italian designers like Miu Miu and cost a fortune. I'm always on the hunt for chic but comfy footwear for my wide feet. I love your outfits although personally I don't like earthly colours (olive, ochre, rust, burgundy), they don't suit me, just give me anything blue/denim! PS I'm going off on a tangent here but flat shoes like ballerinas look cute but are not good for the legs, they should have a bit of a heel, at least an inch.
Oh,, Erin, your emotions come through, so clearly in your descriptions on your videos… Such a wonderful excursion of a lifetime! Your skills with blending the videos of the animals was just divine! Such a bonding experience for the whole family! Thank you for sharing with us this beautiful time do nature in the wild animals! 💎🦋🇺🇸
Erin, though I thoroughly enjoy your videos, I don't usually comment and wanted to thank you especially for this fashion/travel video. A safari is on my bucket list, too. Seeing all your amazing photos and videos of the wildlife was awe inspiring! Your clothing choices were perfect, too (I immediately purchased the BR scarf). Thanks again.
Hi Erin, I am South African and I am delighted that you got to experience our beautiful country and the uniqueness of the African savannahs and sunsets. We once did a road trip to Botswana from Pretoria, which is very close to Johannesburg. We stayed (camped)in tents right in the bush with absolutely no barrier between us and the animals! One night we saw the silhouette of a hyena right outside our tent and then heard it drink water from a pot we cooked in. The humidity is much higher in the summer when it can get very hot in the bush. It sometimes feels that the air is so thick, it's like walking into a wall.❤
I went with my 80 year old mom on a safari trip about 7 years ago. It was on her bucket list but not mine. It was a life changing trip. I loved it more than I could have imagined. We went to Kenya and Tanzania and our trip followed the great migration route. We went with Road Scholar. My mom has travelled with them for almost 30 years and never had a bad trip. I've also been with my mom with Road Scholar to Morocco and Bulgaria. Great experiences
What a special trip for you and your mom! LOVE to hear how amazing it was for you both, Lauren! I hope this brings back lots of beautiful memories for you. xo
This may be a total coincidence, but at 23:05 you have the picture of the lion sleeping on the right side of the screen and your dog sleeping on the left side. It’s a cool contrast.
I have relatives who live in Africa. I did want to visit once. But I can appreciate how difficult it would be to pack for a trip. I am not really a good traveler. To pack so concisely would be quite hard for me. Maybe someday. That looked like a beautiful trip. :)
My mom and I went on a two week safari almost 4 yrs ago and I remember we could only pack a max of 35 lbs. We did a week in Kenya and a week in Tanzania, what a trip!!! It was a bucket list trip and I still can’t believe we’re there. Our next bucket list trip , for my 50th in 4 yrs, Antarctica cruise. My ultimate goal is to hit all 7 continents , so far I’ve hit 4 …3 to go!!
Blessed to go on safari twice in Africa. &Beyond is great company to plan the adventure. Great video, but my advice would be leave the dresses at home, and next time visit Sabi Sands.
I have to say I really, really enjoyed this video … the VB set looked so good …. A great mix of fashion and travel! What size r u wearing in the VB set?
Erin, what a pleasure to watch! An African safari is a dream vacation we hope to take someday too! Thank you for sharing your experiences and photos…very inspiring!
I went to S. Africa last year and everything you talked about was so similar to my experience. I also went to Botswana and Zimbabwe to Victoria Falls as well as Sabi Sands, and Cape Town/Stellenbosch! Surreal, profound and incredible life changing experience. I wore similar clothes, but didn't look as fashionable as you though, LOL. Thanks for the lengthy talk. Took me right back. And yes, the Safaris were by far the highlight of my trip. Banging around in a Safari jeep at 6:00am as the sun comes up, and again as the sun sets with a "sundowner" is a memory I cherish! I could do it again and again. Seeing the animals in their natural habitat was thrilling. It was always on my bucket list, and after postponing 2 years because of covid, it was worth the wait! I'm all about adventure travel now. I'd love to see Kenya.
So glad that you were able to go too, after postponing like we did! What a rollercoaster that is trying to plan and re-plan... So worth it though! Love to share and hear that this brings back great memories for you too, Elizabeth! xo
Hi Erin, thank you for this great video. Your outfits were thoughtfully chosen and looked very pretty, practical and really appropriate. Your emotions came through and it was instructive too. I love also that you show your children other continents, other lifestyles, other nations and other nature. That forms their comprehension of the world and teaches them to appreciate all forms of life from this early age on.
It's very important to Chris and I to be able to share these kind of experiences with our children. It's something I never could have dreamed of as a child, so that makes this all the more special to be able to share it with them. Thanks so much for watching! xo
LOVE this video . Heading to South Africa in October- GREAT hints. (3 weeks in a carry on bag!!! YES a challenge. I went to second hand store and purchased a special capsule wardrobe for trip. All neutral light colors.
Thank you SO much for watching this special video! I am excited to share this adventure with all of you. Thanks for sharing your experience and the videos. It is on my list for the next couple of years, and your report made it much more easy to imagine what to expect, how to plan and what it could be for us too. thanks xx
Here totally originally for the Erin and fashion and community vibes. Also struck me what a privilege all this is at the root and wondered about the language around that and what that might mean for the further reach of the channel. Broad, I know, and will receive prolly unintentional kickback but honestly just a thought as I continue to align with & prioritize advertising morals as you say you are.
Thanks so much, Barb! I've been using this collagen powder from Care/of and it's really made a difference. rstyle.me/+xNpYgCa_4GHBI_1v0_7aXQ Thanks for watching! xo
Erin darling! I have been watching your videos for several years now and have appreciated so much all of the content you have shared. Your kiddos are getting older and beautiful. I am very happy for you and your family! Keep doing what you are doing darling. Your faithful subscriber Ana from California 💋❤
Thanks so much for watching, Ana! I see the kids all the time and still can't believe how fast they are growing... So glad you enjoyed following along for this journey! xo
Great video-thanks for posting. I’m heading to the same area in a few days and am using your packing list for sure. QUESTION: I have a similar well-fitting Rag and Bone hat. Did you have issues keeping it on in the jeeps? I’m sure I’ll need to pare down from what I’d like to bring, so I’m hoping this will make the cut.
There's no escaping the jet lag! It takes a day or two at least to feel back to normal again after trips like this. Lots of rest on the plane ride can help too.
This is such a great video for me! I have been to South Africa and Kenya (and Sudan). You are so right! Beautiful land and lovely people! I saw all the big 5 except the leopard (in the wild). We did see one in a zoo area. THANK YOU! I love Cape Town! Left my heart in Africa.
Thank you so much for sharing!! I have only looked over to Africa from Spain, but never been there. Now I really want to go🤩😍Some day I hope it`s my turn🐘🐆❤
Great video! We did a very similiar trip last August. I feel like I relived the emotions with you. Seeing those animals, it is hard to explain, but I hear it in your words and see it in your body language. You just don't know the impact until you experience it first hand! It really is life changing. Thanks for sharing!
I loved your pictures and video of the safari and to see how much your kids have grown since you were in Spain over a year ago. That experience I am sure your kids will treasure all their lives.
Wow. In the back of my mind I’ve thought about going on safari, but this brought it to life like I’ve never experienced before. Thank you for your inspiration!
Thank you so much for sharing! The trip you just had is what I have been saying I would like to do when I turn 50! It’s great getting the feedback and recommendations on your safari adventure. You and your family really were adventurous on this vacation!
Wow, so glad I saw your post, It brings back many fantastic memories. It’s like a mini staycation. It’s been 10 years since we went and to this day it’s one of our favorite trips. There are no words to describe the feeling of being that close the these beautiful animals in their natural habitat. We stayed at two different lodges, loved them both. Ambiance and decor are difficult to capture in photos. And the food. Yum! Both lodges were on a river which provided endless stream of animals coming to quench their thirst, take a bath or just relax, My favorite lodge was a community of thatched roof huts built on stilts. They were connected to the main lodge with raised walkways so animals could freely roam below. Entire back of these huts was floor to ceiling glass overlooking the river. Our rooms had canopy bed, huge round tub with a view to die for and a private heated pool on our balcony. At one time our hut was surrounded by 50 plus elephants. Mamas with babies too. At Victoria Falls we did a sundowner river cruise, hiked along the falls (they provided ponchos) and a helicopter ride above the Falls. Wart hogs roaming around the Victoria Falls Hotel grounds left a lasting impression. Like you I LOVED them. While in Cape Town we stayed at Cape Grace Hotel, One of my favorite boutique hotels in the whole world. We went atop Table Mountain (twice because it was that awesome), took a tour of Robben Island Museum. Our tour guides were former Nelson Mandela cell mates. Unforgettable stories. Still get chills thinking about it. We also took a tour to the wine country which we enjoyed more than Napa (if that’s possible) last thing we did was visit Cape of Good Hope and saw a penguin colony along the way. While in Joberg we did a day trip to Soweto. Truly amazing. Our hotel in Joberg was adjacent to a shopping center so we did not venture out on the streets. My animal photos are as fantastic as yours but my wardrobe was a far cry from your beautiful outfits. Now I want to purchase some of your pieces and go back! Thank you so much for your post. We used Tauck Tours and highly recommend. (Small groups are best)
I'm so glad this video brings back such lovely memories for you! I just loved reading all about your own travels too... Such an amazing trip! I hope you do get to go back again someday too! Thanks for sharing. xo
Erin, I’m still thinking about Africa and your outfits 😋 I forgot to mention in my comment that prior to our trip I read a post how some traveling guest were leaving items like clothing/shoes behind for the hotel room service staff. Since Zimbabwe was towards the end of our trip and there is so much poverty there we did just that. I was born and raised in a poor village in a communist country so the idea touched my heart. I packed with that in mind so my clothes were not on the expensive side. So far I’ve purchased your BR scarf and the belt bag… I’ve been searching high and low for Page joggers and SE boots. I’ve found some just not in my size (yet) I love the look and versatility of the Veronica jacket and I may or may not have it in my cart before I retire tonight 🤭 I do have a question? In your videos you mention “links below” to items that you feature but I’m not able to see/find them. Any suggestions on how to get to them? Thanks again for sharing your fashion and travel tips.
Thanks for sharing that story! You can shop all of the links in the description box right below the video - just click the "Show More" to expand it. Or you can scroll to the top of the comments section and find all of the same links right there in the top, pinned comment that I've added! That one is usually easier to find! Let me know if you have any trouble. xo
Hii dear We are planing to ho kenya next month I m worrid about yellow fever and mosquitoes 😮 As i have kids like same age as ur kids Pls suggest how i can take care for my kids there
We only saw 1 mosquito the entire trip! I was so worried about bugs and mosquitoes too and realized I had nothing to worry about there. I hope you have the BEST time on your upcoming trip! xo
ONLY 40 pounds? What are you taking? My wife and I just did 10 days in Paris with 30 liter packs that weigh half that. Haven't checked a bag in years, usually keeping it under 24lbs. That said, sounds like you all had an amazing time.
Hi Erin! Thank you so much for your thorough post. We are going to Zambia and Zimbabwe next week (via Cape Town). Question: did you bring warm PJ’s? Is it warm enough at night? Do you need to bundle up? Thx again! ❤
I was fine just in my normal pjs that I wear every night! These are my favorites: rstyle.me/+MQVrjp7MlWJC33HNtDrwiQ There were plenty of extra blankets where we stayed, so it was not a problem at all, and I typically run cold. Have an amazing time on your trip! xo
Erin, I’m a new subscriber but I’m already in love with your content and your character , you look very kind elegant and you are super charismatic . I love the vlog . I’m from Portugal and I think you would love my country special Va place in the south of the country call Quinta do Lago is super your style . Beijinhos like we say in Portugal ☺️✌️✌️
Loved this post❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Africa safari we’re planning to go may combine with a cruise around Africa, ie before or after cruise go on safari. Do I need boots would my OC trainers with good tread suffice? I’d probably wear long pants on safari long skirt at camp. We’re definitely going to work with a travel agent we got a recommendation of a Virtuoso agent.
Loved your video! Leaving for South Africa in less than two weeks- 1 week Capetown and surrounding areas and 4/5 day safari. Curious- did you bring a pair of binoculars for each of you? We have a really good pair from a trip to Ecuador over 10 years ago and haven't used them since (always seem to big) and want to know if we each should have one which we would have to buy.
It's such a great jacket - really an amazing design... It's no longer available but it is the Keswick Jacket by Veronica Beard... You may be able to find it second-hand online somewhere! Crossing my fingers for you! This is their updated version for this season, which is beautiful but doesn't have that zip on/off feature that I so love. rstyle.me/+51qoZUH2xllRZXHBiPIDfg
Erin, how does the Veronica Beard safari jacket run? Would it look better on the relaxed side or more on the fit side? I also have not found reference to how long the length of the jacket is when cropped? I love it so much but trying to avoid ordering two sizes for comparison. I need to hurry because it’s close to selling out. Thank you!
This video was great to watch Erin. I was born in South Africa (Johannesburg) and we have been back a few times including to safari. This video made me want to take my kids!!
Can we talk sweat for a second though… how did your different pants and shorts hold up? I’m very worried about the thin material that I have been trying on- will there be sweat everywhere???
It was much cooler on this trip than I had expected, so that really was not an issue here. But natural, lightweight, breathable fabrics are the way to go when you will be traveling somewhere hot! cotton, cotton poplin, linen, silk are all great for the heat. I talk more on this topic in this video from the HEAT of last summer here | ruclips.net/video/YTTbJwKTlJo/видео.html and I have another helpful one here as well | ruclips.net/video/G6znvyLYrbs/видео.html
Thanks for this video. I'm heading to Botswana, Zimbabwe and Rwanda in August, your packing list is really helpful. I'd be interested to know what camera and lens you used.
Have an amazing time on your trip! I just shared a new packing and travel video today, with my new camera gear that I LOVE... Details here! ruclips.net/video/55ZQAT2UPs8/видео.html
100% agree about the significantly over hyped point of needing technical gear. Not only is the significantly overhyped for the countries in Africa, but even for the US. I also live in a mountain town, spend the vast majority of my time outdoors, and most of my clothing is regular clothing. There's definitely a recreational-ndustrial complex!😅
I love all your tips for packing, Erin. I am in my 70s, but I still like to look stylish, and your choices are exactly what I would pick! I have a Rag & Bone olive green "safari: jacket that I bought at least 5 years ago from a Nordstrom anniversary sale. It is still my favorite one! As far as footwear, I love the Sam Edelman Chelsea boots and wore them all over Europe last October. they looked great with my jeans. cargo pants, trousers, and long skirts! Your SE choice for the safari was perfect, and if I was going someplace like that, I would definitely choose those😊
You look so beautiful in this video. You are beautiful already but you have that glow of vacation happiness 😊 I was blessed, fortunate and lucky to have traveled to Botswana for my 39th birthday, five years ago. I wished this video would have existed then. My fashion choices were terrible 👎🏽😖😭
We live in South Africa and go out to the bush often. Glad you loved it. Next time let me give you some pointers of where to go as there are some less commercial spots much more interessting. Re bright colours, the animals don't care. We wear shorts, flip flops or takkies (sneakers) and so on. No dressing up. Wink wink. You looked lovely though. Did you go on a night drive at least once?
I really enjoyed your video and especially your beautiful outfits! I'm a Capetonian and I am so glad you got to experience my city. I think one of the key bits of advice you gave was that special hiking shoes are not important because you are not allowed to leave the vehicle. My own experiences of the bush are so different as locals will often opt for the self drive option in one of the parks ... nobody really gets to see your outfit so you just live in t-shirts and shorts during Summer. If there is anyone watching this who wishes they could go on safari but don't have the budget for a lodge then I would say they can explore more budget friendly options as you can hire a car and drive yourself. you can even camp in certain parks 🙂 having said that, I think your advice to go to Botswana if you can is spot on. i have not been but it is on my bucket list!!!
Oh wow…such a beautiful country. Thank u for bringing us thru your wonderful journey. The fact that u brilliantly execute a safari capsule wardrobe out from your little luggage, that alone is very challenging. You looked on point for every situations with all your outfits. Btw love your hair🌹
Yes, duffle bag with specific dimensions, and a max of 40 lbs. More details on packing tips for this kind of trip can be found right here on the site - busbeestyle.com/africa-safari-packing-list/
Erin, I love your footage of the animals...so in the moment and you captured the quintessence of the animals in their habitat instead of overly posed cliche' Instagram pictures.
Went to Kenya 10 yrs ago & it was a great trip. So many wonderful animals- I did see a Cheetah & watched it run. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see Victoria Falls- still on my bucket list!
Your makeup in this video is especially flattering. But to the point of this video, as a fellow traveler, I’m especially enjoying all your travel related videos.
Thanks for your views especially for the safety concerns I have ( had) . We canceled last year due to covid . For us including some of your viewers a cruise to Africa with a safari included works for the future.
I just bought the jacket and shorts (they are on sale!). I bought size 6 in both and say they run true to size. I’m 5’4” and 137 lb. Love these pieces!
Again, thank you for your response....I'm so appreciative. On another note, you are amazing and inspire me....classy, honest, incredible style and just darling. I do no social media....and follow only 2 or 3 RUclipsrs....you are the best and I own so much of what you've reccomended....I've purchased my whole wardrobe for Africa, based on all of your links.....don't need any nudging to purchase Veronica Beard....thank you of all you do :)
Thanks so much! We went in April, during their dry season. So if you go another time of year that is definitely important to keep in mind. I'll add a link to my blog post with a packing list for you. xo busbeestyle.com/africa-safari-packing-list/
You can shop all of the items I featured by extending the video's description box, as well as checking out the pinned comment right at the top of this comments section! Let me know if you need any more help finding the list of links. xo
Erin on which month exactly did you go? We are planning to go next summer so I wonder if the weather would be like the one you had. We just came back from Egypt and I melted every single day. I still managed to look stylish and put together but for safari I would like to prepare even more ahead of time. We booked our trip to Egypt kind of last minute so I was not prepared at all. I went last minute shopping and we also travel with carryons. I regret many of the outfits I took so don’t want the same experience next year.
I went in the middle of April. It definitely got chilly at night while we were there. The real trick to staying cool, anywhere, is making sure to have lightweight, breathable materials for your clothing choices. Hope you have a great time!! xo
@@BusbeeStyle I will keep that in mind. I might hit you with more questions later but for now I have one regarding the boots, I love the ones you took but I don’t have them. I have a pair from Louis Vuitton that I find very comfortable but have a heel. Did you have to walk for a long time with the boots? If yes I can try to find the same as yours and buy them but if not I can probably take mine. They would look amazing in the pictures. They are the Star Trail Ankle boots.
Not a ton of walking, especially on safari - you will be in the vehicle all day. We walked more in Cape Town of course, but otherwise, not so much. That's why you don't have to worry about all of the technical type gear on a trip like this!
Erin, there are no words!! You are better than a travel show!! Your descriptions and pictures are truly amazing. Thank you so very much for taking us on this excursion with you. I felt like I was with you!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed watching along, Janet! Thanks so much for your support and sweet message. xo
Awe, thank you for mentioning the Mississippi Delta where I was born, raised, and graduated charm school❤thank you, Erin, for sharing your dream come to life😊
Thanks for sharing your family holiday with us!! I always wondered why they don’t jump up and eat u! Amazing! ❤
😅😅😅
Classiest safari EV-ER! This was so fun! I love that you take us on your trips!❤
As a Capetonian (living in Texas) I thoroughly enjoyed going on safari with you but more so
I felt truly “homesick”. It is such a magnificent city and I’m so glad you enjoyed it.
This really did sound like it was an amazing vacation and how awesome is it for your family to be able to have all those experiences! :)
It was truly amazing... Thanks so much for watching, Colleen! xo
Not necessary at all!😅
So glad this brought back lovely memories for you! Thanks so much for watching, Tiffany! xo
I love to hear that, Caroline! Thanks SO much for watching! xo
Hi Erin,
I’m from Namibia - and I’ve just returned from a trip to Chobe and Victoria falls.
I’m so happy you got to visit my continent! Love your channel, the last time I went on a safari was on a school trip when I was in grade 7 😄
It was amazing! Thanks so much for watching, Kate! xo
Thank you for taking us on your vacation! What an amazing experience to give to your family!
Thanks so much for your sweet comment, Kathy! SO glad you enjoyed hearing all about the trip, and glad to share this scarf too!! xo
Love that you pointed this out, Kathy! xo
Wow, Jen! That is truly amazing! xo
Hi Erin, it looks like you had a fabulous trip. Loved seeing all the pictures. Your wardrobe was definitely appropriate and fashionable as always.
Thanks for watching! So glad you enjoyed this. It was the trip of a lifetime for sure! xo
Blessed to go on safari twice in Africa. &Beyond is great company to plan the adventure. Great video, but my advice would be leave the dresses at home, and next time visit Sabi Sands.
I actually wish I had more casual dresses 💗
I have to say I really, really enjoyed this video … the VB set looked so good …. A great mix of fashion and travel! What size r u wearing in the VB set?
Thanks so much, Kate! So glad you enjoyed this one. I went with my normal size of a 4 and would say that it fits true to size! xo
Thanks so much for watching! xo
🤗🐘💜🐗💛🦓🕊️ This must have been an amazing experience... No questions, but will happily watch anymore vlog footage you'd care to share 🌞
We went last summer too… 3 weeks-all carry on… I even went so far as to cut the tags off all out clothing. Can’t wait to go again! Trip of a lifetime.
LOVE this video . Heading to South Africa in October- GREAT hints. (3 weeks in a carry on bag!!! YES a challenge. I went to second hand store and purchased a special capsule wardrobe for trip. All neutral light colors.
Have an amazing time on your upcoming trip, Kelly! xo

Thanks for sharing your experience and the videos. It is on my list for the next couple of years, and your report made it much more easy to imagine what to expect, how to plan and what it could be for us too. thanks xx
I'm so glad this was helpful for you as you think about your own trip plans! Thanks for watching! xo
Not planning a trip but this was so much fun! I especially loved the fashion segment and the high quality animal pictures!❤
So glad to hear you enjoyed this! I've worn almost all of these outfits again since the trip too - they're not only for Africa! xo
Erin, your hair looks fabulous and is getting so long. ❤ 😍
Thanks so much, Barb! I've been using this collagen powder from Care/of and it's really made a difference. rstyle.me/+xNpYgCa_4GHBI_1v0_7aXQ Thanks for watching! xo
Erin, your hair looks great! I have never had the desire to go to Africa, but after watching this video, I think I would really enjoy it.
Thanks so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this video. It was truly the trip of a lifetime!
Hi Erin: you travel a lot very far from home, how do you and your family handle jet lag? Thank you 💐
There's no escaping the jet lag! It takes a day or two at least to feel back to normal again after trips like this. Lots of rest on the plane ride can help too.
@@BusbeeStyle Thank you! ❤
So glad to help bring back some lovely memories for you, Nova! Thanks so much for watching! xo
Thank you so much for sharing!! I have only looked over to Africa from Spain, but never been there. Now I really want to go🤩😍Some day I hope it`s my turn🐘🐆❤
I hope you get to go, Elin! Thanks so much for watching! xo
So beautiful! So you.and family went in the dry season then? What time of year was that??
Thanks for watching, Marnie! Yes, we went mid April. xo
Great video! We did a very similiar trip last August. I feel like I relived the emotions with you. Seeing those animals, it is hard to explain, but I hear it in your words and see it in your body language. You just don't know the impact until you experience it first hand! It really is life changing. Thanks for sharing!
It's hard to put into words, really. I'm so glad this brought back those lovely memories for you too, Carla! This is such an amazing trip... xo
I loved your pictures and video of the safari and to see how much your kids have grown since you were in Spain over a year ago. That experience I am sure your kids will treasure all their lives.
I see them all the time and still can't believe how much they have grown... Thanks for watching! xo
Wow. In the back of my mind I’ve thought about going on safari, but this brought it to life like I’ve never experienced before. Thank you for your inspiration!
It was absolutely amazing... Hands down my favorite part of the trip! Thanks for watching! xo
Whoa.. I just got emotional watching this. Nature is amazing isn’t it? Thanks for sharing such an in-depth review of your trip ❤️
It IS amazing. Absolutely breathtaking... Thanks so much for watching! xo
Thank you so much for sharing! The trip you just had is what I have been saying I would like to do when I turn 50! It’s great getting the feedback and recommendations on your safari adventure. You and your family really were adventurous on this vacation!
I sure hope you get to make this happen for your 50th! What an amazing trip it was. xo
I’m about to turn 40 in April. I know I can’t afford A Trip to Africa but hopefully I can do something nice ❤40 is a big deal ❤
Perfect time to plan something special, Sarita! I'm so glad this inspired you. xo
Let me know if you have any trouble. xo
What an enjoyable video! Thanks for sharing your family adventure with us!
Thanks so much for following along on this journey, Susan! xo
Hii dear
We are planing to ho kenya next month
I m worrid about yellow fever and mosquitoes 😮
As i have kids like same age as ur kids
Pls suggest how i can take care for my kids there
We only saw 1 mosquito the entire trip!
With all of the camera gear it can add up quickly... Hope you enjoyed your trip to Paris!
Thank you so much for being a part of this amazing community! SO glad you are here and enjoying my videos. xo
Always fashionable 😊
So glad you enjoyed this video! Thanks for watching! xo
Sneakers would be totally fine. I loved having my boots, but truly not essential
Thank you!! I hope you have a great time. We didn’t bring binoculars, but our guides had some for us to use. xo
The tan safari jacket is so pretty! I can’t access it through your link, but maybe they stopped selling it. Do you know the name of it?
Thank you!
It fits true to size - I did my normal size of a 4! xo
This video was great to watch Erin. I was born in South Africa (Johannesburg) and we have been back a few times including to safari. This video made me want to take my kids!!
Love this video! Thank you so much for sharing. So many great tips! Curious if you sprayed/treated all your clothes with insect repellant?
I'm so glad! We didn't. I was surprised...thought we would have to! xo
Hi Erin - would've loved to spot you in Cape Town. Happy that you had a great vacation.
Do you live in Cape Town? It was amazing! Thanks so much for watching, Carlene! xo
@@BusbeeStyle yes I do Erin. Besides the loadshedding 🥲 it's a beautiful city.
This was so helpful. I also live in CO and we are going on a safari in July. Thank you! What kind of camera did you take?
Yay! Have the best time! I took my Canon DSLR. xo
@@BusbeeStyle thanks so much! I will check that video out!!
All I can say is WOW!
Thank you so much for this information. It is exactly what I needed to know. And thank you for sharing your experience ❤

Your SE choice for the safari was perfect, and if I was going someplace like that, I would definitely choose those😊
THIS is my favorite Erin video ever!!! Thank. you. Thank you~~~your voice is soothing and SO intentional. I'm going~~~
You look so beautiful in this video. You are beautiful already but you have that glow of vacation happiness 😊
I was blessed, fortunate and lucky to have traveled to Botswana for my 39th birthday, five years ago. I wished this video would have existed then.
My fashion choices were terrible 👎🏽😖😭
can you do an egypt video pleeeaasse
Oh! I saw Traveler in the background when you changed locations! I miss her from Spain filming❤❤❤
It's been on my bucket list especially after finding out that my DNA shows African heritage on both parents lineage. 🦓🐘🦒
❤❤❤Wow Erin, that was incredible! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😁 I loved your puffy hair in Africa, lol, back to 80’s 😂
Hi Erin did you need to use duffle bags instead of suitcases?
Yes, duffle bag with specific dimensions, and a max of 40 lbs. More details on packing tips for this kind of trip can be found right here on the site - busbeestyle.com/africa-safari-packing-list/
Erin, I love your footage of the animals...so in the moment and you captured the quintessence of the animals in their habitat instead of overly posed cliche' Instagram pictures.
Thanks for sharing, I traveled to Kenya & felt safe. I did a Safari there & was life changing...can't go back to a Zoo either!
Ur next trip should be Alula , Saudi Arabia (look it up ) and the best time to go would be Nov-Sat :) it truly is magical
Love your necklace and your life perspective. So much inspiration for life and fashion on your channel! Thanks. 💕
Thanks for your views especially for the safety concerns I have ( had) . We canceled last year due to covid . For us including some of your viewers a cruise to Africa with a safari included works for the future.
Wow! Wow! Wow! I just travel locally around my place but it's always nice to see things:)
Hi Erin
This was fabulous. Can you please advise what size is your Veronica Beard jacket? Thank you 😊
Sure, Michele! It is a size 4! Hope that helps! xo
Thanks so much for your support! I hope you have an amazing trip!! xo

Amazing video!!!! What time of the year did you go to Africa? We are planning and I'm curious how I should pack.....Thank you!
Thanks so much! We went in April, during their dry season. So if you go another time of year that is definitely important to keep in mind. I'll add a link to my blog post with a packing list for you. xo

Fantastic. Thank you for sharing. Be well, Gloria
Looks like an amazing experience! So refreshing after everyone just traveling to Italy, France and Greece (which are beautiful too)
Where can I find the links to the clothes?
You can shop all of the items I featured by extending the video's description box, as well as checking out the pinned comment right at the top of this comments section! Let me know if you need any more help finding the list of links. xo
Erin, what a glorious trip you had, I enjoyed every single minute of your video. 🌻
I would love to sit in with you at Peak. They sure are doing a great job with you
My step daughter’s mother and family are from Ghana. So awesome you got to make a trip to Africa. You looked super stylish too
