The still small voice instead of the noise in the wind, fire and earthquake reminds me of Elder Bednar's message of heeding not the noise from the great and spacious building. 🙂

I especially liked the promise God gives, “I will be with you”. Also, the message that God is aware of us and that it is in our extremities while keeping our covenants that we come to know Him. Thank you!

Thank you love your lessons. It amazes me that anyone can not like or want to follow the Prophet. President Nelson is Gods spokesman so why wouldn’t you want to follow him? Just love him and all of you.

I just finished listening again to parts 1 & 2. I appreciate so much the truths you 3 have shared at such a pivotal time in my life! You are such a light of truth and a helping hand to lift me and others facing the heartache of friends and family walking away from the truth in these trouble times. I've been facing the battles you've been talking about and though my faith and testimony never waivers, I am grateful to get a boost from your studies, incites and testimonies. I love the program and always feel uplifted when I listen to your words of encouragement. Thank you, to each of you. And God bless each one and your families. 🙏💜

I really liked the insights about the symbology in what Elijah did with his alter. What a great way to demonstrate the power of the true God over the false gods.

    23:54 - Joseph Fielding Smith -
"The spirit of God speaking to the spirit of man has power to impart truth with greater effect and understanding than the truth can be imparted by personal contact even with heavenly beings. Through the Holy Ghost, the truth is woven into the very fibre and sinews of the body so that it cannot be forgotten."

There's a great book by an LDS author that shows that there's perfect harmony between the prophetic statements concerning the garden of Eden being in Missouri and the Old Testament account concerning the garden of Eden. It's called Canaan, Babylon, and Egypt A Comparative Theological Analysis on Creation sold by Eborn Books.

So, is it more likely that a woman (widow) from the tribe of Israel relocated with her family to someplace near where her king's wife was from, or that a woman from the land of Baal worshippers randomly believed in the God of the Israelites?
We aren't given a lot of information, but I think it's more likely that she was an Israelitish expat. Maybe she married outside the covenant. Maybe her family moved to the area because they heard the famine wasn't as bad there.
I suppose, in the end, none of that matters. The reason we know about her is because of her faith. That is the power in the story. It was the power in the story when Jesus used it as an illustration so many centuries later.
I wonder what became of her son.
